Woohoo! Welcome to my Photoshop tutorials thread. It's mainly coloring tutorials, but I'll probably do a few blending/texture tutorials here and there. I'm always working hard to make them as perfect as possible, so please try not to criticize my work. :D I am currently NOT taking tutorial requests. However, I will let you know when I am. Anyways, I hope you enjoy my tutorials.

My second coloring tutorial. This is very easy and works best with Photoshop!

First, sharpen your base photo. You can do this by selecting Filter>Sharpen>Sharpen.

Second, create a new selective color layer. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Color. Make sure it is set to RELATIVE mode.
Reds: +100, -1, +15, -7
Yellows: -77, -2, -32, -9
Whites: +100, +29, -21, 0
Neutrals: -9, -1, -4, -8
Blacks: +46, +6, -32, +20

Third, create a new hue and saturation layer. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Hue/Saturation.
Hue: -5
Saturation: -15
Lightness: +6

Next, create another new selective color layer. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Color. Make sure it is set to RELATIVE mode.
Reds: -100, +32, +36, +33
Yellows: -100, -100, -100, -100
Blacks: +100, 0, 0, -10

Fourth, create a new channel mixer layer. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Channel Mixer.
Red: +60, +43, -1, -9
Green: +3, +93, +7, -1
Blue: +12, -20, +127, -12

Lastly, create a new fill layer with the color #4A5B6F. Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid Color. Set the color layer to Luminosity at 13%.

(Adjust coloring settings for best results with the photo you are using. This will not always be successful with all pictures.)

A coloring tutorial inspired by one of the Fearless Graphics examples. :P

First, create a new selective color layer. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Color. Make sure it is set to RELATIVE mode.
Reds: -49, +27, +32, +5
Yellows: +79, -38, -20, +11
Whites: +61, -18, -12, +5
Neutrals: -8, -5, 0, 0
Blacks: +50, +45, 0, 0

Second, create a new channel mixer layer. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Channel Mixer.
Red: +89, +7, +9, -5
Green: -3, +102, +1, +3
Blue: +3, +7, +102, -3

Third, create another new selective color layer. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Color.
Reds: -100, +16, +15, +100

Next, create a new hue and saturation layer. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Hue/Saturation.
Hue: -2
Saturation: -4
Lightness: +2

Lastly, create a new color fill layer. Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid Color. Use the color #806666. Set the layer to Exclusion at 15%.

Can you do something without selective coloring?
