wat, people became famous after American Idol. Ever heard of Kelly Clarkson, William Hung, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Fantasia Burrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks? All of them were on American Idol. It could be a good place to start if ur old enough to enter.

A. You have to be 16 or older to try out for American Idol
B. American Idol isn't going to train your voice

The first step to singing is diaphragmatic breathing. That is THE KEY to voice. I would suggest voice lessons if you haven't done some already. You'll have to learn a lot to get your voice working properly, like practicing breathing, vocalise, vibratto, style, pitch, using your palet, shape of your mouth, etc. Once you think your ready, audtion for musicals, perform at local talent competions and concerts, and pray that a talent scout will be there. Really the only way of becoming big is to be discovered. I'm not sure if agents really work that much with singers, but perhaps you should consider getting one. But voice lessons are definately important. Like my voice coach, she's actually a singer and has albums out and tours, and sometimes does local Barnes & Noble Bookstore shows where her students get to perform. I'm not sure if you could find a voice coach quite like that, but it would be helpful to success.

Hope I was a help!
