As some of you probably know, Green Day has a new album coming out a week from today. I'm pretty excited, as Green Day was my first favorite band and the first concert I ever went to back in 2001. Is anyone planning on getting the new album or going to a show this summer? I just got tickets today for the show in Arizona, and I'm stoked because they are the best seats I have ever had at a concert. 5th row right by the stage!

yay. i was hoping i can become an actual fan when there next cd comes out, instead of being able to say im a fan cuz i like the Singles. :[

but ya, i hope to buy it if some sound good on youtube first

i saw green day a long time ago.
ehh, i heard one song from this album on mtv wake up or whatever it's called, and it kinda stunk. it was fun, i can see myself rocking out to it if i'm hyper, but i didn't LIKE it.
yeah. i probably won't even bother checking out the album.
have fun when you see them. :]

It's supposed to be an awesome album. And fyi, the best songs are usually the ones that aren't singles, as far as Green Day is concerned.

A long time ago? Aren't you like 14? Hahahaha you must have been like 10 when you saw them. I saw them 8 years ago. Beat that! :lol:

it's my aunt's favorite band so she is going to their show this july.
i was going to go with her, but i might be on vacation this week.
if i'm not i'm going, and i'm pretty psyched. i have to admit i only
know their singles, but i have albums of theirs to listen to :]

i think i was 10. they came to a patriots game after they won the superbowl one year. =p
XD i don't think i can. 8 years ago i was 6 and listened to the beatles and madonna and enya and lenny kravitz and barney.

I've been meaning to look them up for seriously forever. Like a couple of years, but I
always forget.
I'll check them out later, but I probably won't buy the album unless there's some freaking awesome
song that I can't live with out and I'm definitely not seeing the tour. I'm already seeing 3 concerts
this year and my mom says that's alot. :P I'm also trying to convince her to let me see one more... Not working. :S

I wish, they're not coming anywhere near me.
Though it is during the summer, so my mom might be willing to drive really far, but I doubt it.

I gonna see them for my second time! Maybe they can beat my favorite Concert :P So far my favorite was the Offspring concert! BRILIANT!
In the end they say ''hey we gonna do 1 more song, wich one do you guys wannna hear'' and the hole crowd went like ''wahahwahhaha'' and he said " no i goes like this'' and they played Self Esteem! woef that was so awsome :lol:

I'm definitely buying the album. I've been waiting for a new one for years.
I'm trying to convince my mom to let me go. I'm already asking her to go to a concert about 4 hours away, so I'm not going to push it.

What can I say...WOW.
Absolutely phenomenal. It was well worth the five year wait.
My only complaint is that there are a few too many songs. I really do love most of them, but 18 is about 3 too many.

It's interesting that they are releasing the limited edition vinyl in three different parts. I'm sure if you listened to the entire album you already know what those parts are.

Anyone get tickets yet? I'm going to the Phoenix show on August 22. I just found out that my section is a little bit elevated because it's right next to the stage, and it starts with row 9. Row 9 just happens to be my row.

Got tickets & album. The record is amazing. I wasn't sure if they could beat American Idiot but they have.

Before The Lobotomy gave me chills.

Can't wait for this tour now.

What kind of tickets did you get? Is it in a stadium or arena?


Before the Lobotomy is my favorite song on the album.

It's an arena. It's called the LG Arena & is in England. It's all standing so I'm gonna have to get there early if I wanna get near the front. What about you?

Yeah, there are so many actually great tracks on there, that one is the best methinks also. !Viva La Gloria! also is one of my favourites. Tbh there isn't a track on there that's not brilliant.

The arena I'm seeing them at is actually not that big. This seating chart is a little different because the floor is GA and they are actually selling all the tickets behind the stage. I'm in the first row of section 116:

You know what's weird? When I saw them on the Warning tour back in 2001 I was 11 years old and probably the youngest person there. Then in 2004 (or 2005?) on the AI tour I was sitting next to people younger than me and I was in the average age range. How quickly things change.

i read this weird article and apparently their albums have been banned from all walmarts because they refused to make a censored version.

Good for them, they shouldn't have to make a censored version just because walmart says so. I would never buy a censored version of an album anyhow.
Besides, I don't think they really need walmart's business given that their last album sold 13 million.

Green Day is one of only a few bands who would do this, and good for them. They could make LOTS of money from censored albums, but they actually put art above money. That's what the music business needs more of.
