Aw, darn. Not surprising however.

Well it's not official yet. It could still catch up with State Of Play.

I hope it does! :o

Thats not for the week though is it? It's just for one day so it could still go up right?

yeah its one day. it should get 15 million dollars for the weekend. if its number 3 with 15 million thats not too bad. usually theres like a 60% fall off from the first week

I actually think it will be second; the gap to State of Play is very small and State of Play is a thriller while HMTM is more of a kids movie. So it should have a better Saturday and Sunday.

As far as Box office statistics go; as of Thursday HMTM had already beaten the total box office gross of the Lizzie McGuire movie.

Ha ha.

That movie sucked.

Stewart >>> McGuire.

Well yeah, HM is better but a lot of people still compare the two. Though I guess beating the total box office gross within a week will stop that comparison somewhat.

They added the numbers for saturday and sunday and it seems like it will be on #3.

Actually Box Office Mojo suggests that it will be 4th.

some places are saying it will be forth some are saying it will be third. 3rd and 4th are sepertated by so little that either one probably could be number 3.
hopefully the soundtrack will at least be at number 1.

I definitely don't think it will drop that much. I think it will be at least number 3.

The soundtrack is cutting it close with Day 26 so that's also the question whether it will be #1 or not.

The 60% drop for HMTM is actually normal, it's not that major a drop compared to normal circumstances.

Oh, I didn't see Monster vs. Aliens on the BoxOfficeMojo chart...well, that's super close, so we will see.

I hope that HMTM will be number 1. I think it will be. Either way it probably will be number 1 next week because nothing is coming out that week but I want it to be number 1 this week lol. I think it will be close but HMTM will beat Day 26

We'll know for sure on Wednesday. Hits Daily Double is giving the same estimate for both. I wouldn't say that there is nothing coming out; I have no idea who Rick Ross is but he's had decent numbers in the past (though his album just leaked).

well things are coming out but nothing expected to compete with HMTM or Day 26 next week.
HMTM is number 1 on iTunes and Day 26 is number 7 so hopefully HMTM will edge them out.

i blame those people who recorded the movie and post it online.

WHO THE heck is DAY26... what kind of name is that why NOT DAY 28.

It's #4. Mom told me that earlier.
I saw it once, I don't want to see it again.
With the economy this bad, we can't afford
to be wasting money. and going to see a
movie isn't all that necessary.

But it's good, so I hope it stays up at a
high # for a while.

I found this comment about the box office gate to be amusing.
