Okay. I thought that foreign places say that. It's weird. Correcting is a word and you're welcome.

I saw the movie last night at midnight and it was amazing! The whole theater was clapping, screaming, and dancing to the hoedown throwdown. It was so sweet. By the crowds reaction I think everyone loved it. And it was mostly kids 15 and up which is good

It has a 44% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That's not too bad, all things considered. I've only read two out of 70 reviews that were negative towards Miley. Two.

What part did you cry?
Well, the wife almost never cries at movies, but she tear’d up at the point near the end where everything starts to unravel for Miley/Hannah. Me? Uh, most all of it. I get too emotional about people and things I care about. Keepin’ my man-card though ...

I thought this review(if you could call it a review) very funny. I especially liked the part were he thought it would be better if she got involved in community service instead of giving a concert. Have they all forgotten that movies are for entertainment? It's hard to believe this yo-yo is a film critic.

I just got back from the movie. I am not going to give too much of it away as I do not want to ruin it for others who are planning on seeing it. When the cast said that it was completely different from the television show, they were extremely right about that. As soon as the movie starts, you can tell the maturity from all of the characters has grown a lot. There is so much emotion in this film. Comedy, romance, and drama. The drama parts were incredible. I cried during the movie and it is nothing like some of the drama in the show at all. The characters have all grown up since the beginning of filming the very first episode of Hannah Montana and it truly shows in this movie. All of the film critics who have been saying that it's target audience which is 6-14 years olds will enjoy it the most are completely wrong. Anyone who is a fan of the show will absolultely adore this movie. Even people who aren't even a fan of the show will really get a kick out of this movie. I for one am completely shocked. I am a huge fan of the television series and I didn't even expect to be blown away as much as I was the second I walked out of the theater. The acting is what stands out the most in this movie. Each of the characters have portrayed how well they can act when they are on the big screen trying to entertain anyone who comes and sees it. If you're planning on seeing it, you will not regret it or be disappointed. This is an amazing movie that will surely be a big hit in the box office for weeks!! ;)

No but ill do it now. After seeing it ttwice i've concluded that it was well done. At times the dialogue is cheesy, but hey its disney. Miley truly showcases her talent and her emotion is played out really well in this. The Grandma kinda was annoying at times but she had some really touching moments with Miley. Billy Ray was actually quite good and his scene with Miley were very touching and you could really sense the bond. I was sort of dissapointed with the final scene of Travis and Miley, you'll get why once you see it. The songs were all placed in good parts and ALl the other actors were very good, but clearly Miley stole the show. She has improved so much and by the way she was in the movie, the Nicholas Sparks one should be phenominal. Also I cried atleast 4 times. The 5th was an overeaction lol.

Yes, Taylor's in it, but they cut away after she starts to sing. The song plays on in the background. Rascal Flatts are in it too ...

So i saw the next showing in its entirety without interruption.

Yes, the movie was f'amzing! I agree with everyone. I saw it twice already and I still loved it the second time around even though I saw it like 45 minutes after I had just watched it, and I'm going again in 3 hours. When Miley started crying omg, I had to hold back my tears like crazy I was like "DO NOT CRY!" my cousin and mom were there, and I remember when I was like 7 my mom teased me about crying in crossroads, so I didn't want for that to happen with this movie.
But, there were so many awh moments, and moments I wanted to cry. And I'm so impressed with Mileys acting, shes gotten alot better ever since the begining of her career as a Disney actress. I can't wait to see her in non-disney films, I think she'll be spectacular. Overall an amazing movie, I truly love it, and its my favorite movie. Then comes Slumdog Millionaire, and Changeling :P

Wasn't filled but a lot of parents and kids.

Oh and how can I forget The Notebook - Nicholas Sparks is a brilliant writer, thats why I'm so stoked for the last song! And about the theater thing, mine was freaking PACKED! On both showtimes, their was mostly kids around 5-9 and about 10 or so teenagers. Their was actually a fieldtrip there. So I was thankful that the kids weren't too loud, but at the 3 o'clock showing... omg... those kids were so obnoxiously LOUD. They kept screaming and at one point in the middle of the movie I yelled STFU! and people brought their freaking babies inside the theater... why would you do that? You disturb everyone. UGH! But, anyways, yeah, the theater was packed almost no seats available. But that was in Miami, I'm curious to see how it'll be here (15 minutes away from Miami, so its not all that far :P)

I went to see the Hannah Montana Movie with my mom at 11:30 this morning. We bought our tickets ahead of time on Fandago, just because we didn't want to risk a sell out. We got there kind of late around 11:38 and we walked inside and nobody bothered to look at our tickets and it didn't look crowded. So we walked into the theater and literally the whole room was PACKED. We had to squeeze into a reserved birthday party section!!
We were a little late on the movie, but I'm guessing we missed about 5 minutes. Miley delivered a wonderful performance! She really stepped it up and showed people she really can act. I loved all the comedy and love in this movie. The Miley/ Billy Ray scenes were beautiful and heartfelt. I also loved the connection between Miley and Travis(Lucas), the Grandmother was great also.
I'm happy they through a romance in their for Robbie Ray, it was fresh!
I was not expecting what happend at the end, so you can't really say it was 100% predictable. The soundtrack was wonderful and I give this movie an A+.
After the movie everyone was clapping. We walked out of the theater room and there were about 120 little Hannah fans lined up outside waiting.
I looked at my mom and told here I was SO glad we went when we did!:P
I recommend this movie to anyone of any age, it's cute and fun and will put a smile on your face. =)

Entertainment Weekly Review:
After successfully avoiding all that is Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus for years, I gave in this afternoon and went to see Hannah Montana: The Movie because I can be talked into sitting through anything about a country girl-turned-city girl-turned-country girl. (I have issues.) The plot is simple: Miley Stewart (Cyrus) starts to enjoy the perks of being her pop star alter ego, Hannah Montana, a little too much -- e.g. her publicist (Vanessa Williams) introduces her to the concept of celebrity freebies and she throws down with Tyra Banks over a pair of stilettos in a store. So her father, Robby Ray (Billy Ray Cyrus), forces her to spend two weeks in Tennessee with the family for Grandma Ruby's birthday. No one but the family and Miley's best friend/makeup and hair artist Lily know the secret of her dual identity, but a writer for a British magazine is under orders to find out what the world's most popular teen is hiding and follows Hannah there. Also, Miley gets hit on the head a lot.
"Hannah Detox," as Robby Ray calls it, proceeds as you'd expect. At first, Miley just pretends to like being "home," but slowly, through the help of her grandma's hot summer farmhand Travis (a perfectly cast Lucas Till) and her horse, Blue Jeans, she begins to remember what matters -- like helping Travis rebuild her grandma's chicken coop so he can sell the eggs. Robby Ray starts spending time with the farm foreman, Lorelei (The Office's Melora Hardin!). And Miley's brother gets attacked by an alligator, but is fine. (What???) Things only get complicated when the man (Barry Bostwick) threatening to turn the town into a mall interrupts the fundraiser to save it just as Miley finishes getting the townsfolk groovin' to "Hoedown Throwdown" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sAAM0v976Q) (I'm not even kidding). He says they'll never be able to raise the money, and Travis, remembering that Miley told him she saved Hannah Montana's life in a surfing accident, says Miley can ask Hannah to perform a benefit concert.
Now, we all know how this will play out -- like an episode of Three's Company. But there's at least one sweet surprise: When Travis meets Hannah, the only thing he's interested in knowing is whether or not she thinks Miley would go out with him. (Awww.) Travis and Miley set their first date for the same night Hannah is supposed to be the guest of honor at the mayor's dinner, organized by Lorelei. After much "comedy" involving a ferret and Miley running back and forth between the two meals, Travis figures it out. Robby Ray ends his budding relationship with Lorelei rather than reveal Miley's secret to her. The good news, pain brings out the best in Miley's songwriting, and she pens a sweet song, "Butterfly Fly Away," that she and Robby Ray sing. (I may have gotten chills. It was a nice moment!!)
Miley spends all night finishing Travis' chicken coop, and upon seeing her handiwork, Travis hops up on his horse like a total hottie and rides to Hannah's concert. She sees him from the stage and stops singing. She can't lie to the town anymore, she can't ask her family (meaning Robby Ray) to sacrifice anything else. She takes off her wig and sings a song she wrote for the town, which magically, the high school orchestra already knows. It's the song "The Climb" (below), which, I'll admit, I totally love. (It's the melody of the chorus: "There's always gonna be another mountain/I'm always gonna want to make it move/Always gonna be an uphill battle/Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.") The song is just so perfect for that moment in the movie and though I didn't applaud like the girls sitting behind me (for real), I was definitely feeling warm and fuzzy. A little girl tells Miley to please put back on the wig and be Hannah -- the town will keep her secret. And she does. Because Hannah's publicist has flown over the British writer's two daughters, whose hearts would be broken if Hannah no longer existed, he agrees to keep quiet. Honestly, I thought the moral of the story would be to be yourself -- meaning Miley would perform as Miley. But I guess the moral is that leading a double life is right if it's the only way you get to do what you want (be a pop star) and still live a normal life (half the time).
Things to look out for other than the shock that Billy Ray Cyrus is incredibly likable onscreen in this character (as opposed to when he was, say, hosting Nashville Star or plugging his new album on the ACM Awards recently): The boys from Rascal Flatts, who cameo either as themselves or as Miley Stewart relatives who just happen to do one helluva porch cover of Rascal Flatts' "Bless the Broken Road"; Taylor Swift, who cameos as, I guess, a local teen who steps up to the mic during the town fundraiser (if she'd been playing herself, they wouldn't have needed to call in Hannah Montana, right?); and the end credits. Much of the cast dances to "Hoedown Throwdown" including Tyra Banks, Melora Hardin, and Vanessa Williams, and they're all more than game. If you're that open when you go see the movie, you'll have an okay time

Awesome! I seriously CAN'T wait until tomorrow!!! BTW: Were you the oldest one in the theater? I hate when that happens.
Haha, I felt like it! I'm 16 so I'm guessing there were about 3 other girls my age...maybe a few older. I didn't care though, I went in there with my HM buttons and stuff. It was a little embarrasing when I was getting in my car to drive off and some kids are being put into a car seat!:15:

I feel you. There are definitley not a lot of Miley fans here that are my age. But it doesn't really get to me because I know what I like and if people don't like it they don't have to talk to me. If I can't be myself and be around things I love then I'm gonna have a pretty sad life. Lol!

It was amazing. I understand why the reviewers didn't like it though. its not really a comedy, its a drama with people falling off stuff a lot lol. but I loved it. Miley and the grandmother were by far the best actors in the movie. its not that the others were bad, they were all good its just Miley and the lady who played the grandmother were just even better.
I was ready to kill the little kids. they sang and danced through the entire movie. they ran around to talk to eachother and during the hoedown throwdown, they all lined up and did the dance. Everytime Miley or hannah came on screenthey'd scream "hannah" or "Miley" and when Taylor sang they keep screaming "Taylor"

there are Miley fans older than 16 some even in college and some even in their mid 20s. She has a wide range of fans. But the older fans don't like to show that they are fans because people judge.
But who cares what other people say that is what i tell them.

I don't care though, I'm proud to be a Miley fan. :57:

But, Traverse City, Michigan must be filled with a bunch of fuddy duddies because at the end I got up at the end of the 12:30PM Showing and did my best at the HoeDown ThrowDown but I was the only one!
I might go tomarrow and see it again, I don't know yet...

Hey, you wanna’ talk about age? I’m 59, and the wife is 55! We went to the first showing this morning, so there it wasn’t a full house. We were joking around with the kids while waiting to go in the theater, and while walking in, one of the Mom’s was talking about High School Musical being okay, but this movie was probably not going to be all that. I told her to get off that and come out of the Hannah closet! If she weren’t a fan, she wouldn’t have come, as there was another Mom with her that had ten kids in tow. Pretenders ...
I tell everyone: WE’RE HANNAH/MILEY FANS! And proud ... so get over it! (Snap*)

I'm going on a monday, before the little kids go off school. I hope there is no noisy people. Lucky for me (or i don't notice or don't go to a theater so much) i rarely encountered people/groups of people that spoil/annoy my experience.
Except for this one time that this person at the back is telling her friend what is going to happen in the movie because she downloaded an illegal copy of the movie from the internet. But eventually she shut up by herself. So annoying.
And thanks, i have not encountered a spoiler :) Though i know what to expect, dancing and crying. lets see.

HOLYCRAP! I went for the 3rd time today and this third time it was the BEST. Now I give the movie a 10000000000000000000000000/10 I can't even describe the amount of fun I had! First of all, the showing was at 9:20 there was only 1 dad with his little daughter (awh!) and 2 moms with their 2 daughters, the rest was teenagers. And I'm not talking about 13 year olds, I'm talking about 16-21 year olds. OMG! I have never in all my life, experienced such fun in a freaking movie theater. The audience was absolutely AMAZING, and we all laughed, cried, screamed, danced throughout the entire film. And when Miley sang the climb it was so f'hilarious everyone held their cellphones and sang along, and it was so powerful! *tear* I have a video (don't worry, you can't see the screen so it isn't really illegal, all you hear is the people screaming their heads off) that I will post here so you can hear just how loud the people were. There was these 2 guys who were dressed in South Pole and looked around 17 or 18 and went to see the movie HAHA! And there was ALOT of those "ghetto" girls (because where I live thats the style...) in there which I was shocked by because they NEVER would look like the people who would see Hannah Montana. But, omg, in the end everyone did the hoedown throwdown, omg... I had so much fun! Me and my bestfriend can't get over it. We compared it to a concert, because thats how energetic everyone was! And omg, I can't describe the amount of fun I had. It was so amazing! Oh and it was completely sold out.. they oversold tickets by mistake and people were sitting on the floor!

Speaking of scenes that wer cut out, did they ever show the part in the trailer were she says "I never expected to love it here so much." Also the part were Billy Ray says "I think you should do whatever you think is right." They do use the part before it were she says "I'm tired of living a double life, i don't think i can do this anymore." just not at the same time as the part with Billy Ray.

The part where BR says "I think you should do whatever you think is right." I'm pretty sure is said when they are in the bedroom and Miley is picking out something to wear to dinner with Travis, and then has to decide between dinner with him and the Mayors dinner.

I can't wait. I'm going today at the 2:00pm showing and i'll be sure to look out for the ages of people coming in and the reactions of the crowd. When I went to see HSM3 there were little kids screaming & everything (which was annoying) and its at 2pm so I highly doubt the theater will be empty. :P

Oh yeah, they lead you to believe its during butterfly fly away but yeah your probably right. I wonder if they'll include the scene that they definetly cut in the bonus features on the dvd.

Speaking of scenes they left out, they didn't show the scene where Hannah is trying on all of those different outfits in the store. They also didn't show a scene where Miley and Travis are having a picnic right by the waterfall. Those will probably be in the deleted scenes on the dvd/blueray.

If you're Cyrus's age (16), you're probably already too old for the TV show, and your musical tastes have likely evolved to embrace something a little more grown-up. Like, say, the Jonas Brothers.
THAT IS THE MOST STUPID THING I HAVE EVER HEARD.
I am almost 16 and I find Miley's music waay more mature that the Jonas Brothers'. [I am not bashing; I love thier music, but Miley is more mature, IMO.]

My Breif Movie Review: I loved it! Miley really impressed me with her acting. The crying scenes were very beleivable and overall, she was just great. The movie was also very, funny and sweet. The scenery in the movie was just gorgeous. I cried during a few scenes, the one where Travis finds out Miley is Hannah, the Butterfly Fly Away scene, The Climb scene, and the end, when she sings Always Find Your Way Back Home. I also loved the Hoedown Throwdown scene, so much fun. I clapped along. The only negative was the kissing scene really, and I didn't think there was enough Miley/Travis and family interaction. I wanted more than that, but other than that amazing! I give it 8/10

I loved it!!! I need to see it again asap lol.
And shockingly, it wasn't the little girls in the theatre that pissed me off, it was their moms lol.
The one lady infront of me was rocking out when there was any type of concert thing, and laughing like crazy during some of the parts. I was a little mad, but whatever, she obviously loved it so I can't hold her annoyingness against her lol.
I though Miley'a acting was really good. It kind of sucked that oliver was in only one seen, and Jackson didn't have a big part at all. It was almost like he was put in the movie because they had to stick him in somewhere.
My favorite parts (that I can remember right now) were when she got out of the truck and was with her horse, the grandma's birthday singing part, pretty much any scene with travis lol, when she cries, the butterfly sing scene and her singing the climb.
The only bad part for me was how lame the kissing part was. I know the movie had to be rated G, but come on.....

College Students Take A Field Trip To See 'Hannah Montana: The Movie'
Posted by meredith on 04-13-2009
Today's Ypulse Youth Advisory Board post is from Megan Reid, who was among the millions of moviegoers that helped "Hannah Montana: The Movie" break the record of biggest opening day for a G-rated live-action picture (set by Disney's "HSM 3″). She lived to tell the tale so I'll let her take it from here. Remember, you can communicate directly with any member of the Ypulse Youth Advisory Board by emailing them at youthadvisoryboard at ypulse.com (youthadvisoryboard@ypulse.com)…or just leave a comment.
College Students Take A Field Trip To See 'Hannah Montana: The Movie'
http://www.ypulse.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/hannahmontanax-topper-medium.jpgI’ve definitely vegged out to a "Hannah Montana" marathon or two on a lazy summer afternoon, but unlike "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," it was not my idea to go to "Hannah Montana: The Movie" on opening night. It WAS, however, my 20 year-old roommate's idea, which definitely speaks to the appeal of the show, and Miley Cyrus, across age groups. And what I saw at the theater that night really drove this point home.
At the later showing we went to, I saw older teens and twenty-somethings scattered among the families with elementary school-aged kids and the groups of excited tweens. And if anything, it seemed as if the younger viewers were surprised to see so many older kids at "their" movie. One of my favorite moments was watching a girl who couldn't have been more than 10 years old shushing four girls in sorority sweatshirts for whispering too loudly while Miley belted out "Best of Both Worlds"!
I don't think fans of any age will be at all disappointed by "Hannah Montana: The Movie." Regardless of some of her negative media coverage in the past year (her infamous "Vanity Fair" shoot, leaked photos of her mocking Asians, dating an older guy), Miley Cyrus is still the most famous sixteen-year-old in the country, and she's a likeable role model to tween and teenaged girls. Despite it's length, the movie still kept the wacky humor and gags that have made the TV show so popular. There are tons of full-length (insanely catchy) songs included, plus cameos and performances by teen-friendly stars like Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, and Tyra Banks, whose 5-second gag reel appearance at the end of the film was one of my favorite moments. The plot centers around whether or not Miley (the character) wants to be Hannah Montana forever — it's a question that gets a little meta, since lots of fans have been asking similar questions about Miley Cyrus' involvement with the show, and some have predicted that, much like "The Lizzie McGuire Movie," "Hannah Montana: The Movie" will signal the series' end. I won't give anything away, but I will say that all in all, the tween entertainment value of "Hannah Montana: The Movie" was well worth the $6.50 ticket price.

I saw the movie today. I thought it was a lot of fun. It had everything in it I like about the show. It was fun to see the characters on the big screen. There was a lot of humor, good music and it had a heart. I was so hoping it wouldn't be silly or stupid and it wasn't. It was a solid family movie. When I saw it there were kidsd who came with their parents and the adults seem to enjoy the film too. There were a number of scenes which were really funny like when Lily hid under the towel or Miley being chased by the chickens or when Bobby Ray knocked down the plates. I wished she had used some of her catch phrases. I did enjoy the references to the TV series like the remark about Uncle Earl.
I enjoyed it. It wasn't sitcomish and had a movie feel with the use of locations and a more involved story.
My only grip is when I saw it the print had a number of scratches and it lasted for the whole movie. I told the manager and I got a refund. So I saw it for free.

Hannah Montana expected to sweep Oscars
By: Julia Ries
Posted: 4/16/09
Miley Cyrus is one of the best things to ever happen to Disney. Seriously, think about it. Not only is she bringing in an estimated $1 billion for the company, but the tween sensation is a brand in herself - she's got a hit television show, a record deal, a book, a clothing line, three Emmy nominations, and now, two movies. Her concerts sell out in minutes, and she's ranked 35 on Forbes' Celebrity 100 List. She's even been immortalized as a wax figure in Madam Tussaud's. Have I mentioned that she's only 16 years old? Blows my mind.
Now, when I was asked to review The Hannah Montana Movie, I was smitten, elated even - I knew there was a reason I joined The Heights (kidding). Since its inception in 2003, Hannah Montana has stolen my heart (along with the hearts of over 180 million other viewers), and has ranked among the top five regularly scheduled series with kids six to 14.
For those of you who aren't caught up on Hannah Montana (thank you Boston College for blocking the Disney channel), here is the general premise: Miley Stewart is just your average 14-year-old girl who deals with typical adolescent issues - boys, clothes, family, and friends. Oh yeah, and she's secretly a pop star. The only noticeable difference between the two personas is hair color: Miley sports brunette locks, and Hannah, a blonde wig.
The movie follows the same premise as Miley struggles to retain her secret identity as Hannah Montana. The flick begins with Hannah in concert, performingin front of a packed crowd of screeching, middle school girls. After her show, though, Miley never really gets out of character - her life seems to have become too diluted with stardom as she becomes more and more like a stuck-up pop princess and less like good ole' Miley.
Leave it to Daddy Robby Ray Stewart (Billy Ray Cyrus) to ground Miley's soaring ego. By tricking the teenster into revisiting her country bumpkin hometown in Tennessee, Daddy Ray hopes Miley will get in touch with her roots and realize she's pushed her family and friends to the wayside. It seems Miley is in for a hellishly boring vacation in the boondocks when, hello, introduce cute, charming cowboy, Travis (Lucas Till), who is quick to sweep Miley off her feet.
Things are looking good for Miley until "Hannah" comes to town for a concert and she tries to balance dating Travis and hiding her secret identity. Meanwhile, a sleazy British reporter (Peter Gunn) is snooping around town to dig up some dirt on Hannah, making her life all the more hectic.
Miley must decide whether she wants to continue performing in the limelight as Hannah Montana or give up her stardom to finally live a normal life. Is it predictable? Yes. Is it inane? Yes. Is it amazing? Of course.
As expected, the movie features a handful of playful new songs by Cyrus (be sure to YouTube "Hoedown Throwdown" - you won't regret it), along with a few musical treats by Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts. And don't worry - Billy Ray continues to mooch on his daughter's fame to enhance his own career with two solo performances.
Drenched with colorful humor, likable characters, and a delicious, fist-pumping soundtrack, the movie is definitely worth watching. In my eyes (and most 13-year-old girls' eyes), Miley Cyrus can do no wrong - unless, of course, she's posing partially nude on the cover of Vanity Fair. There's something about Hannah Montana that makes you yearn for those pre-pubescent middle school years. She's just so damn charismatic.
So, please, do me a favor: stop hating on Miley Cyrus for the sole reason that she's a mainstream sellout and go see this movie. If you can't appreciate The Hannah Montana Movie for its brilliant aesthetics and intrinsically delightful plot (OK, this may be a stretch), then at least go to witness the cultural phenomenon that is Hannah Montana - because whether you like it or not, she's taking over the world, one 13-year-old at a time. Insider: Invitation-Only Premiere Set for 'Evening Sun'
April 17, 2009
By Terry Morrow, The Knoxville News-Sentinel, Tenn.
Apr. 17--"That Evening Sun," the independent film shot around here this past summer, is having an invitation-only screening tonight.
Cast members Ray McKinnon, Walton Goggins and writer/director Scott Teems will be attending. Most of the audience will consist of folks who worked on the project. Producer Larsen Jay says he wanted to keep the event small and on the down low because a much flashier premiere is planned for the Nashville Film Festival next week.
"Sun" revolves around an old man (Hal Holbrook) who leaves his healthcare facility to go back to his farm homestead, only to find things have changed. Holbrook and his wife, Dixie Carter, who also has a small role in the film, won't be attending the Knoxville screening. The capital is getting the bigger premiere because the state was so helpful in getting the film made in Tennessee, Jay says.
"Sun" was produced by the Knoxville-based Dogwood Entertainment. It was recently awarded with two South by Southwest Film Festival awards -- Audience Choice Award for Narrative Feature and Special Jury Award for Best Ensemble Cast.
Early reviews of the film have been positive. A wide-distribution release date for "Sun" has not been announced.
It's Miley! What did it take to get a superstar like Miley Cyrus to come to Knoxville? A lot of hush-hush planning.
She made a brief stop at Regal's Pinnacle Stadium 18 at Turkey Creek in West Knoxville to promote the opening day of her "Hannah Montana: The Movie" this past Friday. She shocked the audience that was there for the noon show, but the secret was not completely secret. Her die-hard fans figured it out; some said they even heard a local radio station announce the appearance shortly before her actual arrival.
Disney wanted to keep it quiet because her presence could cause "security issues." So all attending local media signed the paper, promising their first born.
Most of the other local media had prepared little when it came to asking Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus a question. In fact, during my chat with Billy Ray, one local media person pushed her microphone in his face, hoping to use my interview as her own. I gently pushed the intrusive mike away, indicating this was my interview. It wasn't like I had the only interview.
After my interview with Billy Ray, which focused on Miley as a role model and what making the film meant to him professionally, the Cyruses' publicist decided to jump feet first on me. "What happened to your questions about the movie? You were supposed to be asking about the movie!" she screamed at me.
Apparently, this publicist wasn't listening to the two radio-station interviews before me. Theirs had nothing to do with making the film.
To paraphrase, I told her to chill. The story wasn't even written yet.
Despite the rush to get to the stars and only getting a few questions in, it was worth it.
Words to live by. "I am a role model and not a parent." -- Miley Cyrus

Hannah Montana expected to sweep Oscars
