How to make a swirly kind of blend
Open a new file that is 400 pixiles by 300, then create a regular blend.
Open another file that's 300 by 225.
Copy the blend and paste it in the new file.
Scale the blend by going to layer, scale layer, then type in 300 in the first box. It should automaticaly make the 2nd box say 225.

Go to the origanal and go to filters- distors- waves. then go to the other file.
Then copy and paste that onto the other swirly blend. You can add a shadow if you want. Sometimes I do that.
Then just add text and brushes and stuff and wala!

NOTE:: This works well with pictures that have alot of reds and pinks in them, like the picture that I chose, but others it works HORRIBLY with!

How to add textures
open a simple blend like this:

then open your first texture:

paste it over your blend. Then click atl + l
this should come up

go to the arrow and click on lighten only

you should see it on your blend. Then move it around until you like it. For other textures, usually you either use lighten only, darken only, or soft light (no circled, but up there)

ill try to do that, but probably not until Monday cuz im grounded for the weekend (:o) but im still on here :P. That will take loger and last time i did something like that i got grounded for longer cuz i wuznt suposed to be on here and it got deleded. I was so mad.

ok, this one is really easy. i dont think that i ven need screen captures

1. go to colors>hue-saturation, then enter these numbers:

Master:
4
4
100
(you can lower this depending on your picture, becasue sometimes it comes out orange-redish)
Magenta:
1

Red:

(again, change it if you want)
Blue:

Then go to colors> levels
Enter the folowing (but change it if you want!)

Colors>auto>color enhance
Paste it and set it to soft light
Paste it again and set it to 20 %

Blend Style #1

Take you blend or picture, add color, and text (it you add text, do NOT flatten the image or merge it down, leave it as a layer)
copy and paste the layer, and converte it into a new layer (layer > new layer)
go to filters > blur > motion blur
chose radial blur and click ok
Go to your toolbox and select the eclipe select
check the box that says feather edges and set it anywhere from 60-100 %
delete the blue that is one the person
now, if you added text, make shue that the layer is above the pasted layer, so you can read it better
now you can add textures and other thigs

You can also try duplicating the blend, then do the blur and then erase everything except for the edges.
