Gimp Coloring { Tutorials By Mufasa }

Alright. So. I Was Fearing For My Life, Really... lol
I Was Told By Many People To Make Coloring Tuts.
And Many Of Those People Told Me I Was Going To Die If I Didn't.
So. Here Is My Thread, And I Am Currently Working On A First Tut ;)

Just Be Warned Now: I USE CURVES! A LOT!

Bright Colors
Today Children. We Will Be Learning How To Make This (http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/MF_4Ever/Tutorials/Tut1.png) From This (http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/MF_4Ever/Tutorials/Tut1-B4.png) :)

1. Duplicate The Picture.

2. Go To Color > Curves; And Try To Match These (http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/MF_4Ever/Tutorials/Curves1.png) Settings.
( I Hope You Can Still See It... I Forgot My PB Resized Stuff... )

3. Set The Layer To "Darken Only" And Then Duplicate The Background Again. AND BRING IT TO THE TOP!

4. Go To Curves Again, Only Put On These (http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/MF_4Ever/Tutorials/Curves1-2.png) Settings, This Time.

5. Then Set That Layer To "Color" Changing The Opacity To About 70%
( Depending On The Picture You Chose, You May Want To Play With This A Little. )

6. Flatten The Image, And Then Open The Hue/Saturation Dock.
Change The Setting To About -10 +10 -20 ( Again, You May Want To Play With These )

7. Go To Colors > Color Balance. Change The Settings To These:
Shadows +10 +10 -10
Midtones 0 -20 -20
Highlights -10 -5 +10
( And Make Sure The "Preserve Luminosity" Box Is Checked. )

8. Duplicate The Picture, And Get Ready For Some More Curves.

9. Put On These (http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/MF_4Ever/Tutorials/Curves1-3.png) Settings, And Then Set The Layer To "Screen" 80%

10. Flatten The Image, Go To Hue/Saturation With These Settings About > -5 -10 +10.

AND YOU'RE DONE!

Step Three, I Forgot To Tell You That You Needed To Bring The Layer To The Top.
So You Know, If You Didn't Do That, It Could Cause Some Problems ;)

There Are No Curves - So It Should Be Simple Enough :D

1. Colors > Components > Channel Mixer.
RED 87 7 12
GREEN -25 118 11
BLUE 2 -4 104

2. Colors > Brightness/Contrast 30 15

3. Colors > Hue/Saturation 15 -5 20

4. Colors > Levels
VALUE 7 1.68 242
RED 14 0.63 239
GREEN 0 0.62 222
BLUE 12 0.73 205

5. Colors > Hue/Saturation -5 5 20

6. Repeat Step #5

AND YOU'RE DONE! :D

ahh ur first one is my favorite. i use it alot :] cept usually i take out the last curve, because i like it not bright. but the coloring is still rockinnn!
