Apparently, the little cretin used the e-mail addresses he stole from Miley Cyrus to send spam to and made $110,000.

It seems Holly isn't just some bored kid after all but an experienced criminal and scam artist who's been swindling money from people for years.

I should probably point out that when it comes to the privacy of minors, the laws are considerably stricter than those regarding legal adults. The fact that he profited from the stolen Miley Cyrus photos compounds the potential punishments. Enjoy your numerous federal felonies, Mr. Holly. Provided the feds don't cut a deal to reach a bigger target, that's some hard time in federal prison (we are talking up to 15 years).

What we have here is a youth who strayed from the righteous path. Instead of seeking vengeance, we should seek understanding. We should show the world the extent of our compassion and forgive. We should direct our energy into guiding Josh to the righteous path. In a previous post I suggested that we start a defense fund for him. It just might be the right time to rethink that. With our support we can guide him to being a valuable member of society. We in turn will have the self-satisfaction of doing good for the world.

i actually read a lot of that. i love how they were like "underage female celebrity whom we will refer to as "victim" from now on" and then like 2 pages later, they say "Miley Cyrus".

Yeah, that seemed a bit odd to me as well, guess they forgot what they wrote about "the underage celebrity". Though I'm kind of surprised that files like these would become public like this.

I guess everyone knows who that celebrity is though, so not really any harm done by her name being in there.

Yeah, there’s something to be said for that. The media often creates problems that could be avoided if they would just leave it alone. But since it’s public record, it’s not concealed. In this case, there really isn’t anything being revealed about how they’re proceeding. It’s just listing items they are requesting the court’s permission to search for evidence, and explaining why they have cause to do so ...
