View Full Version : Understanding the seriousness (?) of the new Miley picture that Insults (?)

Ok before i continue, i don't want racist, sexual, off-topic comments and bashing (if only i can delete those posts since i started the thread.). I want this to be a discussion so we can share our thoughts in an orderly fashion, and yes I'm posting this at around 4:00 AM pacific time. There is nothing to do in the mornings anyway.
I was reading my news feeds and then of-course i got the story of the picture where Miley and others were "squinting" and then i read the press release of the organization demanding an apology and its direct from the source in order not to be twisted by the perez's of the internet.
http://www.ocanational.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=501&Itemid=94
As a Mileyfan, i would say that the organization found a way to grab attention since we all know that people are attaching her name so they can be noticed. And that picture should not be in the internet in the first place, the picture taker should be aware that it is Freakin' Miley he/she is taking a pic and should be aware that it can be used for or against her, they could just keep a local copy on their computers or a hard copy, to limit/slow down the distribution.
But as an Asian myself, i gotta side with the organization since even if my eyes are not "squinty", i feel their advocacy and the pain of being stereotyped negatively in society and media, even if its the first time i heard of them. but unfortunately Miley was along for a ride on this new issue.
I wish i knew the motive of that picture to definitely say if that was a case of "Wrong frame at the wrong time" or "somebody" encouraged that in the first place, the last thing i wanna conclude is Miley is you know...
Also, notice that these "Heavy Hitters" came almost at the same time The "backless" and Mr T. pics came out last year and its before a big movie like the BOBW concert movie??? And i wanna touch upon the other lapses like "Helmets" (Already Answered), "Seatbelts" (Already Answered and was edited out in Disney Channel [What?!?!?!]) and of-course Vanity Fair (Definitely Answered)
Sigh, that's why Miley went to Nashville, for her not to be bashed upon, now she was something to be aware of.

She should not have to apologize. If she does she is saying she has done something wrong. Which makes her look pretty bad, which is inevitably what the posters of the story want.
I'm just waiting for this "story" to blow over now & hope that she doesn't address it & make it worse. It appears v.harmless from the outset.

Konnichiwa! Well, well, well. We knew this was coming. I think the OCA's reaction was predictable. Ash, I think you have clarity. The pix were obviously just a bunch of kids joking around. And it's too bad they got out, because Miley is going to take the brunt of the smack. Being as she is still a padawan leaner, she has yet to fully learn that she needs to be ever-mindful of her status, influence, and image. This stuff happens all the time to sports and other personalities, so it 2 will pass.
The wife and I love Chinese art and antiques, and have several Asian friends. I think most of them would feel as you do, Ash.
BTW: Our local news had a one minute story on Miley and the Porsche/Prius thing. It was all positive . . .

I Agree with you! "She should not have to apologize. If she does she is saying she has done something wrong. Which makes her look pretty bad, which is inevitably what the posters of the story want."

it's just like Spain's basketball team during the Olympics. They did the same slant-eyes picture. Basically the entire world thought it was wrong, including me, and they had to apologize. It doesn't mean she's racist, it's just..insensitive. And it doesn't matter that there's an Asian in the picture. That doesn't justify what she and the others did. Sure, he may be okay with it. But others may not. I think she shoud apologize if called to by a high-ranking figure (not haters on a website) because it's taboo to do something like that now. It offends some people, and we may not understand why and think it's no big deal. But to them, it is.
She really needs to be more careful with these personal pictures. It's getting old now.

you do have a point, but sometimes i think political correctness does more harm than good. and yes, not being asian i can't really say anything, but (while i'm quite aware that it's NOT the same) i hardly get offended at 'dumb blonde' jokes. in fact, as long as it's a joke, it's just.. well it's a joke.

I don't think this was any big deal and if Perez had not pointed it then no one would have even been offended. it was posted on Oceanup without the own of the blog pointing it out and for the most part it was fine. As soon as it was pointed out and lableed a certain way it became a big deal.
with that said this is a case of a bunch of organizations using Miley's name to get publicity, thats what they want. if it had been a lesser star they wouldn't have cared. So no I don't think she should apologize. Also this has yet to become a huge story or to hit the serious news sources(entertainmnet or otherwise). If she comments then it will hit those sources, so no she should not apologize. she shouldn't have to apologize for pictures that are being stolen from her and from others. I don't care if her friends are posting the pictures, it does not make it okay for others to steal them.
and honestly, this was the last thing she needed right now. its not right. The kid when back home for a few day in part to try and get away from it all. she doesn't need this.

Okay, not being Asian, I can't say whether or not that is an offensive pose. Personally though, I have to say that for me, unless there was a caption underneath that said something to back up the theory that it was meant in a racist fashion, no one can say whether it was meant that way. People make those faces to represent other things, not just asian people so who knows what the original intention was?
For example, and please this is not me saying this, I found this particular saying frankly disgusting. A friend of mine on MySpace (not a friend anymore) posted a picture of her doing a similar pose, but the caption underneath said something incredibly offensive (I don't want to repost what exactly she said because I'm pretty sure it's against the rules, and it's just something I want to post). First of all, that's a pretty stupid thing to do on the internet, where everyone can see what you're saying/doing. And of course, secondly, that most definitely was racist of her, I sent her a comment expressing how that could upset a lot of people, and was incredibly ignorant/offensive of her.
The difference between that and what happened with this picture of Miley is we have no idea what was happening when the picture was taken, who was taking it, and what they meant by pulling those expressions. Considering that Miley is sat next to an asian person herself in the picture, and knowing the people she hangs out with regularly are all different races, I really don't think she meant it to be offensive, but we just don't know.
I don't think she should have to apologise, but she may well need to if this gets any bigger, so I think it'd be fair if she said something like it was never meant to offend anyone, and it certainly wasn't meant in that way anyway but that she's sorry if it did hurt anyone's feelings. As long as she means it, there would be nothing wrong with that in my eyes.
So yeah, that's my feelings on the subject.

i feel like people are so sensitive nowadays that you can hardly say anything without being labeled as a racist. like if i'm trying to describe someone i saw and say "black" someone always has a cow over it. and i don't get offended by jokes about women or irish people or whatnot, it's not like it's a personal slight or is intended to hurt someone. idk, but i guess if people are actually offended by this... well yeah.

I do agree with you there, even if it wasn't meant that way, Miley unfortunately will always have to watch out for that kind of thing, and yeah none of them should have done it in the first place. For the most part I think Miley has become far more aware of what kind of messages pictures of her will send out, but this time unfortunately she made a mistake.

To a certain extent that's true, but for example, a couple of years ago on Big Brother (big surprise) this one housemate called another the N word. The girl claimed that her and her friends all call each other that so it wasn't meant in an offensive way, but for me, no one should ever call someone that, because of the history of where the word originated and how it is often used as an insult. Same thing for the Prince Harry thing recently. He may not have meant it offensively, but because the words he used are commonly used as insults, it still comes across to a lot of people as being insulting and offensive.

see my issue with this is these pics were going around the net for weeks with no one saying anything or being offended. then Perez deciedes hes going to call Miley a racist and then it becomes a big deal. at the time the organizations commmented perez was the only major entertainment gossip site to even have the pictures up. I have a feeling someone from his site made sure those organizations knew about this.
to me there is a whole different layer to this

only perez and shiz is saying it's racist. they're haters. they're going to say that. what do you expect? but others may see it as insensitive. obviously she was oblivious to the fact at the time, but that doesn't excuse what happened. people don't think during times like that. they just "go with the flow". but she really needs to be more careful with these pictures. it's getting really old now. people are always saying "oh my god i'm glad she's on break so she doesn't hear about this" but she kinda brought this onto her self. she should KNOW that her pictures are ALWAYS made public. ALWAYS. even though "friends"..or even herself on her own social networking page. she just needs to be more conscience of what's going on around her and think for a minute before taking pictures like this. it may not be fair, but her life isn't fair. and i hate to see "scandals" like this come about because for one moment, she wasn't thinking straight.
if a high-ranking official (not perez..) calls for a statement, i think she should say something along the lines of "we did not intend to offend anyone...blah blah blah". it's not necessarily an apology, but just a statement about their intentions.
but then again, that's just my opinion. you don't have to agree. i still love the girl. just getting a little tired of these personal picture scandals.

Disney Looking To Layoff The “Least Cute” Jonas Brother?

Ouch! I guess that would cut below the belt! Apparently a source close to Disney says that they have seriously considered taking the layoffs to the “talent”.
They’re reportedly looking to axe the “least cute” of the Jonas Brothers.
The insider says that the company has been “taking a hard look at ‘right-sizing’ the Jonas Brothers.”
The executive says, “If you’ve ever heard these guys live, it’s pretty clear singing isn’t necessarily their strong suit.” He adds that their vocals and enhanced and “it’d be just as easy to make two brothers sound as good - or as bad - as the three brothers sound now.”
Interesting! Sorry Kevin, get your things, you’re outta here!

or maybe they were simply made aware by TMZ/Perez. They did the same thing to those Spanish Basketball players at the Olympics..called for an apology. it's just taboo in today's society, rather it was with malitious intent or not. obviously, hers wasn't. we know she wouldn't want to offend someone purposfully. but she still makes mistakes. she's only human.
and i don't think every organization is trying to gain attention by using her name. i think that's thrown around too loosely. they may just want an apology because some people may be offended. i'm not offended because i'm not asian, but i do think it's insensitive. i mean, it's a whole race. not just 2 people like the selena and demi video.

we should all take a chill pill and listen to the miley world order. they are the future:
Day 5927; Racism
Even when Miley Cyrus is trying to find some rest in her home of Tennessee the continued hatred against her doesn’t end. TMZ.com (http://www.tmz.com/2009/02/02/asian-group-not-mad-at-one-of-these-people/#continuedcontents), The Pink Demon Perez Hilton (http://perezhilton.com/2009-02-02-racist-miley-cyrus-called-out-by-asian-american-community-leaders) and others are making a big deal about a picture which was taken at a party of Miley and other people. The problem people seem to be having with it is that she and her friends slant their eyes to mimic an Asian look.
TMZ.com says to have received a statement from the OCA specifically for TMZ.com; a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans in the United States.
The photograph of Miley Cyrus and other individuals slanting their eyes currently circulating the Internet is offensive to the Asian Pacific American community and sets a terrible example for her many young fans. This image falls within a long and unfortunate history of people mocking and denigrating individuals of Asian descent.
“Not only has Miley Cyrus and the other individuals in the photograph encouraged and legitimized the taunting and mocking of people of Asian descent, she has also insulted her many Asian Pacific American fans,” said George Wu, executive director of OCA. “The inclusion of an Asian Pacific American individual in the photo does not make it acceptable.”
“OCA hopes that Miley Cyrus will apologize to her fans and the APA community for this lapse in judgment and takes the opportunity to better understand why the gesture is offensive.”
One has to wonder why a person of this stature would even issue such a statement to TMZ.com and not a more credible news organization. Which begs the question if this statement is issued out of actual concern or a chance to get media attention for a not that well known organization.
The only person that seems to matter in the pictures to the media is Miley Cyrus; the other people are mentioned but don’t really seem to matter. In the statement issued it says that it does not matter that there was an Asian in the picture; is this so however? The Miley World Order consulted Asian people to seek their opinion on the matter. These people might not be community leaders but more examples of your average citizen. They were not offended by the gesture.
Of course this doesn’t mean that no one would be offended by it, it is more about something else. One of the main problems with “racism” is that people feel discriminated against; that they’re especially sensitive to the issue. The Asian person in the picture clearly does feel not offended; he is amongst a group of friends who actually might have suggested said gesture by the others. It is just a picture, no one actually knows the exact in which the picture was taken.
This entire case is just a perfect example of how the hate and trash media manage to taken an innocent picture and turn it into a scandal. TMZ.com has no other agenda but to tear down any celebrity they can. Miley Cyrus is part of this agenda so they would do anything to get a statement from an organization like the OCA. Though the OCA since then has published the statement on their own website as well since it has been released on TMZ.com
Organizations like the OCA do good work; let that be said. It however is very doubtful that they would have issued any statement or opinion if they had not been pressed by organizations like TMZ.com. They are in this case being used by the trash media to further their hate agenda. Through all of this Miley Cyrus is now being called racist while she has never shown any sign of treating people differently because of race, religion or any other aspect on which people could be discriminated on.
An apology is demanded from Miley but wouldn’t an apology like that cause more trouble than it’s worth? An official apology from a celebrity for making a gesture which was clearly taking in a joking matter and wasn’t to be taken seriously? It all seems extremely out of proportion and the general consensus seems to be that it’s out of proportion. Even the comments on sites like TMZ.com and Perezhilton.com suggest just that; even their die hard hateful fans don’t see anything in it all.
Miley Cyrus is not a racist; TMZ.com as an organization is abusing an organization with honorable intentions as the OCA to further their own agenda. Getting an official apology from Miley would most likely have the opposite effect of what they actually want to achieve. Miley Cyrus is trying to have a nice relaxing time in her hometown right now; she can do without people creating a drama over nothing. She should be left alone.

we should all take a chill pill and listen to the miley world order. they are the future:
Well Amen to that. All of it.

This is honestly the biggest pile of bullcrap they've cooked up in a while. Maybe it's an inside joke, maybe the Asian guy told them to do it. There's absolutely no racial intent in the photo. I'm seriously fed up with political correctness. Racism is bad, no one will argue that. But not everything is about race. These look like kids goofing off. I have a Japanese friend, and I do that sometimes. She thinks it's funny, and she'll make big circles around her eyes. It's a joke. It's not like she went to a Chinese restaurant and did it. Honestly, people are too sensitive. They really are. And half the time, the overly sensitive ones are white liberals, not the actual ethnic group. It's just gone way too far.

Everyone's a little bit racist, today. So everyone's a little bit racist, okay. Ethnic jokes may be uncouth but you laugh because they're based on truth. Don't take them as personal attacks. Everyone enjoys them, so relax.
Everyone's a little bit racist, it's true. But everyone is just about as racist, as you. If we all could just admit, that we are racist a little bit, and everyone stop being so PC, maybe we could live in harmony.
Avenue Q had it right. People need to stop being so sensitive. And they need to stop using Miley to get attention.

it's just like Spain's basketball team during the Olympics. But to them, it is.

and you know what? I honestly don't think Miley intended any harm with those photos. that it could offend someone or could be seen as racist probably never crossed her mind. But now I'm seeing all these articles that are critizing where Miley comes from and all these people that are stereotyping Miley as a southern racist. Is that right? Miley never intended to harm anyone, there are nothing malicous(sp?) about what she did but all these articles being written about Miley are being written with the intention of hurting her and are extremely mean spirited. quiet frankly what everyone is doing to miley right now is a lot worse then she ever did to them.

The same people who call her a Southern Racist are probably the same people that assumed her family is Republican. Just because you come from a state (or country for that matter) it means you're the same as the stereotype about those people (just like I'm not gay or stoned 24/7 which is pretty much the stereotype).
The articles on sites like Reuters are more objective though; though still influenced by the trash media as the original statement was given to TMZ.com.

I think she just doesn't care what happens with these pics. I mean, it's Miley Cyrus. Even when she's holding a puppy there will be people who think it's offensive and make a big deal out of it.

lol ilu.
i actually agree with CJ. i can't believe this (just jokes).
anyways she's miley cyrus. she KNOWS that her pictures are going to get out. sucks for her, but she knows better. it's not going to stop. sure, it's "not fair" but when it's made PUBLIC, anyone can steal them. there's the problem there. they were made public in the first place. stolen off phone is a different story. but they are public. friends post them. she just needs to think before she takes part in something like this again. sure, her pictures are taking off of her site or friend's site. oh well. it's happened MANY MANY times before and it's going to keep happening. and she knows. but she..doesn't care (for lack of better words) because she keeps doing it. it's not like this is the first time it's happened. she shouldn't be surprised. neither should we.

ok, so far the thread is ok and thanks for the thoughts, i hope you too did some thinking about this and not just throw around random words. And also thanks for exposing me to the "Miley world order" blog (creepy...)
Now, to answer some points. Yeah, she is still young and will learn "sensitivity" and thanks for digging up that word since i did not use it and i was wanting to say that. Again, Everyone should be aware in that pic that its Miley in the picture and it can be used for or against her.
Just to add, back in the seatbelt issue, the automobile association of america nor the Insurance group that crashes cars to rate the cars safety (name escapes of right now) did not flinch as far as i know but some small group instead and then got heat but its a valid safety issue. Now if the chinese govt reacts to this, that would be the equivalent of the 2 top auto org instead of the OCA On another valid issue. Get my drift?
And yes, i still love Miley. She made though vanity fair and the "questionable" pics and she will make though this too.

she doesn't need to not care completely, but then again, she shouldn't second guess everything. she needs a balance. it's not fair, but she does need to think about things more than a regular teenager. she was oblivious this time. but there are other times, like the ones with boys, where she knew what she was doing.

yero and flute, no one said it was okay to make fun of people from the south. dressing up and acting dumb is insensitive and i do get offended. just like making slant eyes. neither is racism though.
but its the same thing(not literally). being a certain race is part of a persons identity, the same goes for your culture or where you come from.
My point is that I've seen so much worse done to Miley and no one ever calls those people out even though. They're being complete hypocrites. Perez and TMZ mock Miley's roots, they mock her religion, they can her a redneck, and the lable her a hillbilly, they then think they have a right to call her out when she had no intention of hurting anyone? um no way. They have no right to say anything about this, neither does half the gossip media.
Miley is a kid, she was joking around. she never meant any harm. That picture does not give the media the right to do what they are doing to that kid. I'm sorry it just doesn't.

Whether an apology would be a smart thing to do now is something that is uncertain. It would make some people happy but the same sites that started the whole story would say that it's a fake apology because she was forced to do it. Pretty much a no win situation.
Rather curious that both TMZ and Perez are pretty quiet about it now, somewhat expected them to try and fuel the story just a bit more.
Also thinking that the two dozen paparazzi following her around Hollywood won't shut up about it once she returns from Tennessee.

Pretty much agree. If she honestly believes she did no wrong then she should not issue an apology. If she does, it will show others how easy it is to get her to jump through hoops. Then we will see situations like this every few weeks. She has to make a stand sometime.

Here's a little song that puts this all in perspective. It's long, but it's right.
You're a little bit racist.
Kate Monster:
Well, you're a little bit too.
Princeton:
I guess we're both a little bit racist.
Kate Monster:
Admitting it is not an easy thing to do...
Princeton:
But I guess it's true.
Kate Monster:
Between me and you,
I think
Both:
Everyone's a little bit racist
Sometimes.
Doesn't mean we go
Around committing hate crimes.
Look around and you will find
No one's really color blind.
Maybe it's a fact
We all should face
Everyone makes judgments
Based on race.
Princeton:
Now not big judgments, like who to hire
or who to buy a newspaper from -
Kate Monster:
No!
Princeton:
No, just little judgments like thinking that Mexican
busboys should learn to speak goddamn English!
Kate Monster:
Right!
Both:
Everyone's a little bit racist
Today.
So, everyone's a little bit racist
Okay!
Ethinic jokes might be uncouth,
But you laugh because
They're based on truth.
Don't take them as
Personal attacks.
Everyone enjoys them -
So relax!
Princeton:
All right, stop me if you've heard this one.
Kate Monster:
Okay!
Princeton:
There's a plan going down and there's only
one paracute. And there's a rabbi, a priest...
Kate Monster:
And a black guy!
Gary Coleman:
Whatchoo talkin' 'bout Kate?
Kate Monster:
Uh...
Gary Coleman:
You were telling a black joke!
Princeton:
Well, sure, Gary, but lots of people tell black jokes.
Gary Coleman:
I don't.
Princeton:
Well, of course you don't - you're black!
But I bet you tell Polack jokes, right?
Gary Coleman:
Well, sure I do. Those stupid Polacks!
Princeton:
Now, don't you think that's a little racist?
Gary Coleman:
Well, damn, I guess you're right.
Kate Monster:
You're a little bit racist.
Gary Coleman:
Well, you're a little bit too.
Princeton:
We're all a little bit racist.
Gary Coleman:
I think that I would
Have to agree with you.
Princeton/Kate Monster:
We're glad you do.
Gary Coleman:
It's sad but true!
Everyone's a little bit racist -
All right!
Kate Monster:
All right!
Princeton:
All right!
Gary Coleman:
All right!
Bigotry has never been
Exclusively white
All:
If we all could just admit
That we are racist a little bit,
Even though we all know
That it's wrong,
Maybe it would help us
Get along.
Princeton:
Oh, Christ do I feel good.
Gary Coleman:
Now there was a fine upstanding black man!
Princeton:
Who?
Gary Coleman:
Jesus Christ.
Kate Monster:
But, Gary, Jesus was white.
Gary Coleman:
No, Jesus was black.
Kate Monster:
No, Jesus was white.
Gary Coleman:
No, I'm pretty sure that Jesus was black-
Princeton:
Guys, guys...Jesus was Jewish!
Brian:
Hey guys, what are you laughing about?
Gary Coleman:
Racism!
Brian:
Cool.
Christmas Eve:
BRIAN! Come back here!
You take out lecycuraburs!
Princeton:
What's that mean?
Brian:
Um, recyclables.
Hey, don't laugh at her!
How many languages do you speak?
Kate Monster:
Oh, come off it, Brian!
Everyone's a little bit racist.
Brian:
I'm not!
Princeton:
Oh no?
Brian:
Nope!
How many Oriental wives
Have you got?
Christmas Eve:
What? Brian!
Princeton:
Brian, buddy, where you been?
The term is Asian-American!
Christmas Eve:
I know you are no
Intending to be
But calling me Oriental -
Offensive to me!
Brian:
I'm sorry, honey, I love you.
Christmas Eve:
And I love you.
Brian:
But you're racist, too.
Christmas Eve:
Yes, I know.
The Jews have all
The money
And the whites have all
The power.
And I'm always in taxi-cab
With driver who no shower!
Princeton:
Me too!
Kate Monster:
Me too!
Gary Coleman:
I can't even get a taxi!
All:
Everyone's a little bit racist
It's true.
But everyone is just about
As racist as you!
If we all could just admit
That we are racist a little bit,
And everyone stopped being
So PC
Maybe we could live in -
Harmony!
Christmas Eve:
Evlyone's a ritter bit lacist!

the media needs to grow up and leave the child alone.
seriously, she owes them nothing and I'm sick of it. I don't see the problem with a private apology, thats a hell of a lot more sincere then a public one.
If she believes she did something wrong, I agree with you on the sincerity of a private apology. My problem is that the private apology would not stay private, opening a new can of worms.

That is my favorite song ever because it's so true. People make jokes. It doesn't mean they're bad people and it doesn't mean that they hate the race. Oy. I should send it to Perez and tell him to gtfo.

Its a photo.
Not a statement.
If some persons were hurt, it will be sad.
And she will have to do like a sorry.

Pfft no. Those jerks think they have the right to call her a redneck/racist/hillbilly? Seriously can't stand the white liberal media. Most of the time, the Ethnic groups don't even care. I'm pretty sure most Jews don't care if Christians want to celebrate Christmas on public property. It's the moronic white liberals who think we're offending them. I'm sick of the PC garbage.

Hello :) I havent seen any pages past 3, political correctness has changed a lot of things, you cant say this, you cant say that, you cant do this, you cant do that, movies have changed, tv shows have changed, yet what people are now noticing is that racism is getting BIGGER.
But not for people who are african or chinese etc , but to white people.
According to the government white people cant be offended or affected by racism, but they ARE, just see the people on the street.
ive been watching a lot of old tv shows lately and movies and seaching youtube for things that are older to see what the world was like and as im bored seeing the same CGI in the same movies over and over, every film has lots of crash bang wollop but no story, it seems movies companies just reply on CGI and theyre done. :/ and its boring now
there are some great movies from years ago with great actors like cary grant, and some of the old things can be really shocking, tv shows like "Alf Garnet" (if thats how you spell it) and comedians like "Jim Davidson" the jokes they said ARE racist, but if you look at the audience no one is offended, everyone is laughing no matter the colour.
Movies from years ago have been changed, your not allowed to say Snow White and the Seven Dwarves anymore, its Snow Person of no particular colour and the 7 vertically challenged people.
i dont know whats going to happen to the world, i know there shouldnt be hate for anything or anyone like what there is, and having to watch everything we say and everything that we do, that will cause a strain on everyone, if people cant even speak, where will freedom be? :/
A picture can lie, the camera doesnt tell the truth anymore, you have to be there and see it for real to know what really happened.
And with the pics of Miley it just looks like a bunch of friends mucking about and having fun, they might have just been pulling all kinds of faces like Miley does all the time! and this is the one picture that everyone is going on about.
She didnt do anything wrong IMO, so she shouldnt apologise. and if anyone is offended, then they should replace that and feel sorry for the person that offended them, as real racists and people with hate, just are bullies who dont seem to know any better, so just pity them. and you know that Miley is NOT like that.
Miley is a good person, she did nothing wrong.

So, did anyone ever figure out who took the pix? Seems to me that's where Miley needs to start splittin' wigs, because someone who's supposed to be her friend has seemingly put her business in the street. Might as well hand a cannon ball to TMZ And Perez . . .

this is ridiculous. i'm sick of having to hear miley apologizes every week for something she did that is completely normal. if she needs to say sorry for that, then i need to say sorry about 5000 times over. it's not like she stood up on stage, slanted her eyes, and was like "heehee, look at me, i'm asian!" no, private photos, clearly some sort of inside joke. lol @ the hypocrisy of "miley shouldn't have to apologize for racism, let's BURN THE WHITE LIBERALS"

Fox annoys me.
And seriously, I'm sure this has been said a thousand times, but what is the big deal about this? It's not like she publically insulted Asians, it was a photo that was most likely stolen and shouldn't have even been on the internet in the first place. And this is just my view, but I don't think her intent was to mock Asian people.
