Tut 1

from this (http://everglowmedia.net/gallery/albums/twilight/film/appearances/mtvmovie-arrivalshq/normal_038.jpg) to this! (http://i442.photobucket.com/albums/qq145/twilight4eva_x/tuts%20n%20PSDs/ebsimplecoloringtut.jpg)

step 1:

open a new selective color layer
(layer->new adjustment layer -> selective color)
andd follow these settings:

reds-
-81, +55, +60, -30

yellows-
+50, -25, +15, -45

whites-
+100, -5, -15, -10

neutrals-
-10, 0, +10, -15

blacks-
+50, +15, -30, +10

step 2:

open a new hue/saturation layer
(layer-> new adjustment layer -> hue/saturation)

hue:
+1

Saturation:
+5

Lightness:
-10

step 3:

open a new curves layer
(layer-> new adjustment layer-> curves)

and follow these settings:

RGB-
81,74
192,173

Red-
62,67

Green-
43,35
163,173

Blue-
108,115
188,179

Set this layer to Screen 50%

(just in case your not aware, the ones that have 2 setting means you make 2 dots, in those places. )

step 4:

open a new Brightness/Contrast layer
(layer->new adjustment layer->brightness/contrast)

do this:

Brightness-
-60

Contrast-
+30

that should be it!!
again, this is my outcome:

here are some more made w/the same tut:

ickk. sry the pics look a bit LQ. when they transfer from .psd to .jpg, they lose some of their magnific. =]

now, personally i like PSDs much better, they are easier and then you dont have to sit at ur computer doing all this crap. sooo, here is the PSD!

For my graphics to keep their, euhm, "magnifique", I always save them as .PNG. =]
there should be an option for saving as .PNG on your photoshop, as there is one on mine (PSCS3 =])

yes, you dont need selective coloring. you can use color balance, channel mixer, curves, levels, etc.

andddd i no longer have photoshop =[
so i can no longer make photoshop tuts =[
tho i saved a few PSDs that i might be able to upload =]
