Hi Everyone! :) I hope you all have a very Happy New Year! :) This might get long!
Here's a quick thing that happened to me and how I got some Hannah Montana bargains! :)
Yesterday I went shopping at Woolworths to see if they have anything I can get cheap as the store is closing down TODAY (Saturday 03rd January 2009)
While in there I found loads of posters on Avril, Camp Rock, HSM3, Hannah Montana etc and LOADS of things on Hannah Montana, like Books, Stickers, Party Items, cards, Playstation games and so on!, and EVERYTHING was UP TO 70% off!
I only had 20.00 so I thought I will get a few of the posters on Avril and some of the Hannah Montana items, and as the prices on the items was FULL PRICE, and some wasn't priced at all I didnt know how much things would be until I got to the checkouts.
The shop was closing as I got there late so I got in the queue and when I got to the lady I said can you please tell me what it adds up to as we go as I dont have much, and she said OK, and I gave her all the Hannah Montana items and it came to 9.00 something and so I gave her the posters and dvd that I got and said can I just grab that book over there as its only 2.00 now and so I grabbed it and she done the posters, it came to £15.xx I then took the bags said thank you and left the store, and then I got on the bus and I thought I wonder how much those other items was, and when I looked at the reciept, they had OVER CHARGED me for an Avril poster!
SO I thought crap!!, and then I thought OK< well I saved on everything else should I go back? and I thought nah! I dont like to take things back as I am scared and its embarassing!! so I went to my mums house and whilst there I was thinking about it again, and so next day I thought OK I will go back! OUT OF PRINCIPAL! you know the poster was supposed to be 70% off so I figure I am NOT rich, so all I can do is ask, and I didnt have much time in the store anyways so it was worth another look just in case there was more bargains!
I went back and stood near customer servvices and a man said to me "are you OK?" and I said "no I bought this poster yesterday and it didnt come with the price off", and he said "they dont do refunds as the store is closing, are you going to get anything else in store today?" and I said "I dont know I will have a look" and he said "OK you go look and then come back to me" so I went around the store and noticed that things was EVEN CHEAPER, some household things from 5p!! and then went to the toys and I found a Hannah Montana Watch that sings and plays video, some party items, stickers, a Christmas card, and more books so I placed them into my basket as I went around, I then tried to find that guy and I couldnt!!
It was then I noticed at the back of the store loads of staff had tables out with loads of boxes of things on the floor that had just been thrown in, so i went and had a look and as I was staring into them I heard the staff saying to people bring your baskets here and we will serve you, and this one guy had a basket full of toys and things, and the staff said £10 pounds for the lot mate!
And I thought WOAW, hes getting that lot for £10.00!! (thats about $17.00) I wonder how much mine will be as I only had £10.00 plus the poster money back, and so I asked the guy "please can you tell me how much these items come to?" and he went "well that watch alone is £15.00 original price and that book is so and so, and then he went 3 quid the lot!" and I was like WOW!!! O_O (£3 pounds is about $5.00dollars!!) So I said OK!! and gave him the money and he bagged the items.
I then went back to the front of the store and that first guy was back again, and there I saw some Hananh Montana Game cards that was £2.49 BEFORE the reduction, so I picked then up and said to the guy I already got served over there but I would like to buy these cards.
So he said he will refund me on the poster as they over charged me and only charge me £0.74p for the cards as thats what they came down to!, so they gave me £3.25 in change!
So cutting a LONG story short, that means I got about 35.00 worth of items, AND the poster back, and THEY PAID ME 0.25p (40 cents) to take them all!!
I left the store BEEMING :D I was like WOO HOO! :) I have NEVER had a bargain day like this EVER!!
And its all because I had the guts to go back and ask!!
So the store closes TODAY!! if you have one near you go see if they have any bargains there for you!! I hope you find some! :)
