Black & White Background Tut
We're going from this (http://pictures.vanessa-anne.org/displayimage.php?pid=28861&fullsize=1) to this (http://s372.photobucket.com/albums/oo168/sunsetluvr123/?action=view¤t=mq2.jpg).
1. Open up your pic [you should have more than 1 person in the pic].
2. Take whatever select tool works for your picture.
3. Select the parts of the picture that you want to be black & white.
4. Go to colors > colorize: saturation-0, lightness-53. Leave the hue the way it is.
5. Keep selecting and colorizing until you only have one person that isn't supposed to be black & white.
6. That's all! Now you can add textures, brushes, text etc...
My result:
http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo168/sunsetluvr123/mq2.jpg?t=1228340037 (http://javascript<b></b>:void(0);)
^^I was in a rush, that's why it doesn't look that good.

***Note: Try to get a person without any poses that are too diffcult to select.***

my result for the dark coloring is this, (http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg52/mileyfan20006/gallery/examples.png) but instead of step four i just set the brightness to all the way up because then it would be too dark. :)
tanningbry

Nice! It wouldn't have been too dark if you set the brightness and contrast the way I had it. It just adds a little shadow which makes it spookily awesome!

See-through Background Siggy Tut
We'll be making this. (http://s372.photobucket.com/albums/oo168/sunsetluvr123/?action=view¤t=RequestsBanner.png)
*Try having white-ish backgrounds on your pics. And 3 pictures for this tut.*
1. Open up your pictures (file > open) and then make a new image (file >new). Make it whatever size you want.
2. Take your first picture (edit > copy & paste). Go to the layers dialog (ctrl + l), make it a new layer, multiply it, and set the opacity to 26.4. You can scale the picture if it's too big. DO NOT flatten image! Rotate the picture.
3. Open your next picture (file > open).
4. REPEAT step 2. DO NOT flatten image!
5. Open up your next picture that will be in the middle (file > open).
6. Edit > copy & paste. Go to the layers dialog (ctrl + l), make it a new layer, divide or multiply it (you may have to try all modes to find the one that makes it more blended with the other pictures), and DO NOT flatten the image!
7. Erase anything from the 2 background pictures that may be on your middle picture.
8. Image > flatten image.
9. Add brushes, text, textures, etc....
You should have something like this:

Video Avvie/Sig
You'll be learning how to make an animated/video avvie or sig.
**Windows Users Only**
1. Open up Windows Movie Maker. Drag the clip to the timeline.
2. Trim your video/clip to a few seconds.
3. Go to effects and drag the effect that looks like it flashes white.
4. ***OPTIONAL***After you do that, add a title (title before clip or whatever it's called). Put whatever you like and put it after your clip.
5. Now, publish your video.
6. Go to http://blibs.com and upload your video. It will convert it to .gif format.
7. Go to edit > resize image. For avvies: 100x100, 150x150, 200x200, or anything along the lines of that. ;) I don't know how big for siggies, sorry.
8. ***OPTIONAL*** If you did not add a title in WMM, you can go to draw > text tool and add text on the clip, not after.
9. Finally, to the saving!! File >save image. Save it to one of the .gif formats (depending on how big it is). Now, save it (it will download but it does not harm your computer ;)).
10. Now go to your photobucket, tinypic, image shack whatever and upload it. Now you can copy and paste it on your siggy! I have NO idea how to get it as your avvie because it's usually too big in bytes.
Finished result:

iPod Tutorial
1. Open up wide pictures like this. (http://pictures.vanessa-anne.org/displayimage.php?album=random&cat=0&pos=-30233) Also, open up your iPod. Mine looks like this:
http://jdfrey.files.wordpress.com/2006/11/ipod.jpg
You may scale the iPod all you want. ;)
2. Make a new image or whatever it's called. Go to advanced options and make it transparent. Leave everything else the same and make sure you have a long new image.
3. Go to your iPod and take the rectangular select. Select the screen part of the iPod and press delete. Now you have white. =]
4. Copy and paste the iPod on the transparent image. DO NOT MAKE IT A NEW LAYER OR FLATTEN IT/ANCHOR IT!! You may scale it.:)
5. Now, scale your wide pics to what you think is about the size of the screen. Copy & paste. Layer > new layer. You might have to scale it more until it's the same size as the screen. DO NOT FLATTEN IT! *I usually use screencaps but, you don't have to.*
6. Repeat step 5 as many times as you may need to. (depending on how many pictures).
7. Now, go to filters > animation > playback. This is for making sure you have it the way you want.
8. Okay, filters > animation > optimize (for GIF). Another image of what you made should pop up. Minimize the one that doesn't have optimize.
9. Yay! You're done! Just go to file > save as. Save as gif and there should be a window that pops up. Make sure you chose save as animation, NOT merge layers! Now click okay or whatever is at the bottom. Another window should pop up. Just click okay unless there's anything you'd like the change.

Alright, I'll start soon. Btw, I made that in Photoshop Elements, so it may take a while to do it on Gimp. But it shouldn't take that long since they're almost the same programs.

How to Add Brushes
Requested by: Shoughton101296
1) Open up Gimp.
2) File>open. Save some brushes first and then you'll be able to open them, lol.
3) Copy the brush. Edit> paste as> new brush.
4) Save it. Now it will be saved whenever you open Gimp.
BAM! You're finished.:P

How to Make a Wallpaper
Requested by: songwriter51
**White background pictures reccomended**
1. Open Gimp (DUH!).
2. Make a new image and make it a really huge number.
3. Get 2 pictures and make a basic blend.
4. Take this (http://s372.photobucket.com/albums/oo168/sunsetluvr123/wallpapertexture.png) wallpaper texture.
5. Ctrl+L. Set it to either lighten, darken, hard light, soft light, or screen. Whichever suits your blend. =]
6. Erase stuff that covers the face/body.
7. After that, flatten the image.
8. Now, add this (http://s372.photobucket.com/albums/oo168/sunsetluvr123/chaoticfae-grungetext5.png) texture. Place it over one of the faces.
9. Take the rectangle select tool and hit delete.
10. Now you can color if you want and add text.
Finished!

For textures, just open it like a normal picture, copy and paste it on your graphic, and then lighten, darken, or something.
