1. duplicate layer & set to
mask 80

2. colorbalans

3. choose colors- auto- improve colors

4. merge layers

5. duplicate layer

6. set the upper layer to darken or something like that 70%

7. channel blander on the last layer

8. select upper layer

9. choose colors-levels

&

10. set the first one to 31

&

11. take a new layer and fill it with white color and set it to overlay 50%


12. and youre done!:)

i dont think it turned out exact cause i made the thing in ps and i used only selective coloring but i think its alike at least a little....:)

take your pic and open it in gimp.
1. colors auto white balance
2. colors auto improve colors
3. duplicate layer
4. on the top layer color compenents or somethin like that channel mixer
put in this;
red

5. set layer to soft light 100%
6. curves on the top layer

7. duplicate the background. set the layer on top & set it to mask 34,9%

8. go back now to the middle layer and go colors and adjust Hue/saturation
set it to;

9. now make a new layer and fill it with white and take it to the top and go to the scroll bar over the layer in the layer window and set it to the 11th from top, i dont know the name, set to 100%

10. then go back to the layer under the white layer and duplicate the layer 6 to 7 times [whatever goes whit your pic] so u should now have
10/11 layers all together and now you're done add text or whatev.


if you want the image a little lighter you just take a new layer fill it with white and set the layer to overlay 100%. you can see this in the 3 image...in the banner...from left....

yeah it think its possible just maybe not the 1 two steps i think its only possible on gimp..

i have a question about these steps;;

7. duplicate the background. set the layer on top & set it to mask 34,9%
