so i figured i'd just start a tutorial thread
that way i can come back and update it
so this will be my home post and i'll post my tut in the next post :P

{kristin chenoweth coloring tutorial}
so i was messing around with some of my favorite kristin pics
and i came up with a coloring that i thought looked kinda cool :o
the tutorial was written for Paint Shop Pro 7
it'll translate to Photoshop perfectly but idk anything about any other programs
so if u have all these tools it should work :P

1) copy & paste your picture into your gfx program

2) duplicate your base and set that layer to hard light at 50%

3) now go to layers > adjustment layers > curves
input: 117
output: 157

4) layers > new adjustment layers > Hue/Saturation/Lightness
Master:
Hue: -15

5) layers > new adjustment layer > color balance
Midtones: -25, 0, 26
Shadows: -24, -18, -26

6) layers > new adjustment layer > channel mixer
Red:
Red: 100
Green: -6
Blue: 0

Blue:
Red: -17
Green: 8
Blue: 100

7) layers > new adjustment layer > Hue/Saturation/Lightness
Master:
Hue: -9

{a night to remember coloring tutorial}
okay, so i don't know if this is exactly how i did it the first time
(i didn't save the psds) but i think it's close enough =/
so let me know if its not what you were thinking xD

so first, we're going to take this (http://pictures.vanessa-anne.org/albums/0%20trl/zac_efron.jpg) picture and paste it as a new image

1) Duplicate your base and set it to Hard Light at 33%

2) Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation/Lightness
Master;
Hue: -5

3) Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Channel Mixer
Red;
Red: 121
Green: -40
Blue: 0

Blue:
Red: -15
Green: 28
Blue: 100

4) Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance
Midtones: -21, -21, -39
Shadows: 14, 0, 0

5) Layers > New Adjustment Layers > Curves
Input: 102
Output: 132

6) Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation/Lightness
Master;
Hue: -9

7) Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Channel Mixer
Blue
Red: -24
Green: 6
Blue: 100

8) Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Curves
Input: 128
Output: 160

9) Ok, this step is a little bit trickier.
What you're going to do is click on your selection tool (rectangle one)
and set it to Feather: 56
once you've done that you're going to select the top HALF of your image
the only thing you're going to do to the half you've selected is
go to Layers > New Adjustment Layer > CHANNEL MIXER
Red
Red: 116
Green: -55
Blue: 0

now that you've done the top half you're going to go back to your selection tool
and select only the BOTTOM HALF... but make sure it overlaps the top half just a bit
(that way the colors kinda blend into eachother)
and once your bottom half is selected you're going to go
Layers > New Adjustment Layer > CHANNEL MIXER
Blue
Red: -24
Green: 0
Blue: 100

and viola! you're done!

okay, so this one looks a bit different than the blend you gave me
that's cuz the yellowish effect on her face came from the texture i used
so idk if you're gonna like this but i'll post the coloring i actually used for the pic :P
and this one is kinda similar to the kristin chenoweth tut i posted a little while ago
so yeahh xDD

1) duplicate your image and set it to Hard Light at 72%

(i resized it to 500 x 751)

1) duplicate your picture and set it to Hard Light at 48%

2) layers > new adjustment layer > curves
input: 135
output: 163

3) layers > new adjustment layer > channel mixer

4) layers > new adjustment layer > hue/saturation/lightness

Soooo... I was bored and I tried out
the Selena and Demi colour tut.
I transfered it best I could to GIMP.
I added my own colouring ot it a bit at the end,
but the idea is bassicly the same.
I was to lazy to actually make a banner or something out of it...
so it's just the regular pic, only colourized.

For Gimp just simply find curves, and channel mixer, I don't think its much different,

this has selective coloring.. like a lot of it
so you won't be able to transfer it to GIMP
but i'm doing it anyway because niyomi requested it
