I put on my black eyeliner, just like my dad usually does. Travis Garret , ex-drummer for Skeletons in the Closet. Today was my 16th birthday, adn I was so excited because I was going to the Elvis Presley School of Music, which is kinda where my parents fell in love.
My dad said that he fell in love with my mom in 12th grade, but my mom fell in love with my dad after that. This is the place he proposed to her. And I am VERY excited.

I started to pack, and I grabbed a picture of someone I hoped would be there. He was the BIGGEST rock/pop sensation. But he was more rock than anything, which was the best to me. I stuck it in my suitcase, and grabbed loads of black eyeliner, and such, and zipped up the padded box.

I rolled in out onto the living room floor, and handed it to my dad. "Geez, how much eyeliner is IN this thing," He asked. "Loads," I samiled, and he brought it out to the car. We loaded in, and loaded off to th EPSM.

"Dad! Do I have to go?" I asked, moaning. "I've gone for three years now!". "Yes, you do," said Joseph Jonas, singer of the Jonas Brothers. And yeah, they are STILL a band. Whoever listens to them. "Mom?" I said, hopefully. "Sorry son, do what your father told you," She said, feeding my five-year-old sister. I sighed, seeing as it was no use. I wen tto go pack, and brought it to the main foyer when I was done. We loaded into the car, and left. We pulled up and I saw the golden head of Elvis Presley once again, but when we parked, and I started to go into the school with my parents, I saw the most beautiful girl. Dad looked over where I was looking, and smiled. "Serena, Travis!"

"Ohmigosh, It's Joe, Trav," Mom said, and Dad rolled his eyes. "I guess we could go say hi," He said, and we all walked over. When we finally got over there, Mom hugged a girl, and the Joe Jonas. Joe Jonas. I looked over and saw Nathan Jonas. "H-Hi" I said and he did the same. "I'm the boys consoler as well," His dad droned on to my mom. "I'm the girl's consoler" "WHAT?" I screamed. "I'm the boys' dean," Dad smiled, "What fun," Joe replied.

"Daddy, your the dean?!" I questioned, feeling something in the pit of my stomach.
"Yes sweet heart," He smiled, sympathetically.
I sighed, How am I supposed to possibly get a boyfriend now?
"Well, I'm gonna go put my stuff in the dorm room," I smiled, and took my luggage towards the girls' dorms.
Nathan followed me, walking beside me, and said he would help me.
"Ummm, Ok," I said, and kept walking.
"So, your mom is the Serena my dad tells stories about huh?" He asked.
"I guess so," I smiled at him.
"It annoys the crap outta my mom," He laughed, and kept striding towards the dorms.
I giggled, and we stepped in front of my dorm.
'I believe this is it," I bit my lip. And he laughed.
"Probably, but I better go, jsut in case your roommate is some crazed fan or something,"
"That would be the best idea," I said, also not wanting him to know that I packed like a thousand posters of him in my bag, or bags.
He nodded, and headed towards the elavator.
"Wait!" I shouted, and he looked back. "Uhmm, see you soon,"
I hurried into my dorm, not able to catch my breath until I was sure he was gone.
Then, I was greeted by my roommate.
"Hi, I'm Issabella Marie Taylor, but you can just call me Issabelle, or Bella," She smiled.
"Nice to meet you Issabelle, I'm Lynn Garret," I said, shaking her hand.
"Your Travis Garret's daughter?" She asked, and I nodded.
"That's cool, my dad said his band was one of the biggest band's at EPSM," she said, and I nodded.
At that moment, another roommate came in, with loads of luggage.
"Hi, I'm Blair, Blair Willson,"
Let the introductions begin yet again.

Once she slipped into her dorm, I stepped into the elevator.
I didn't even remember to ask her for her name.
I'm so retarted.
I pressed the Main Floor button, and started going down.
When I got there, I went out the main doors, and went back to the parking lot where my dad was still talking to Serena.
"Dad, I'm going to take my stuff to my dorm," I said, and he nodded. "Bye sweetheart," My mom said, and I hugged her.
I heard Travis mumbling something about him getting to be my dad's boss.
I walked to my room, and set my stuff down.
A guy came out of the bathroom, and said, "You must be my roommate, I'm Michael, but you can call me Mikey,"
I introduced myself, and he said, "Dude, my dad sed to know your dad,"

I hung up my last poster, and looked Blair and Issabelle. I added the finishing touch. A picture of my little brother who died in a car accident along with his friend. She wiped away a tear, and told her roommates she was going out. She grabbed an extra picture of him, and went searching for her mom and dad. They were in his office. "Hey mom, daddy," She handed them a picture. "I know you don't have anymore pcitures of him, so I printed out an extra copy before we left," I smiled. They hugged me, and I went to go look for Nathan. Without him knowing that I was looking for him. I didn't even notice, and I bumped into him. "Oh My Gosh, I am so sorry," He said, and smiled when he saw it was me. I smiled back at him, and he stood up. He held out his hand, and I grabbed it, as he helped me up. "Hey, we gotta go to the audotorium for an assembly or whatever, do you wanna come with me?" He asked. I just dreamed that he had just asked me out. "Sure," I smiled, and he walked with me to the assembly. My dad stepped up to the podium, and started talking "Welcome students, I am sure you are all very happy to be here," I detailed his face a bit more. He had obviously added too much eyeliner this morning. "Even though today is the first day, I want to talk about the first dance there will be this year. It will be in a couple months, and we need a couple people to volunteer," I looked at my feet as my dad picked a coupel people. "Now that we are finished with that, we should move on to the rules, consequenses, and classes," He droned on about all that, and called us up one by one to get our class schedule. I looked over at Nathan's, when he sat down with his. I have every single class that he has. Joy was bouncing off the walls inside of me, but on the outside I was just smiling, like usual. I got that off my mom. When we got out of the assembly, he took me over to a bench, and started talking. "Listen, I know we just met and all, but, do you wanna go out sometime?" "Like, on a date?" I asked, and he nodded slowly. "Sure," I said, in a scratchy voice, and smiled.

I layed on my bed, listening to Carrie Underwood. I guess that music is a litle old for me, but it is pretty much the same thing. Carrie is still singing anyway. "This is just a dream," I sang softly, making sure noone heard me. Nathan walked into my bedroom, tip-toed up beside me, and scared me half to death. "Hey, can I talk to you?" Nathan asked, and I said, "If you never do that again, you may" He sat down, and paused my Ipod, pulling my headphones out. "I don't thin we should go on our date Saturday." He said slowly, and then looked at his feet. "Why?" I asked, and he replied quickly, "I just think that we should get to know each other a bit more," I was a bit shocked. We had alrady put aside three months to get to know each other, and I had pretty much told him everything that has ever happened to me. "What? I have nothing else to say about myself, I've told you everything," I said, and he said he knew. He told me he was sorry, then left. I muttered something under my breath, and plugged my headphones in, putting it on Shuffle. Hot N Cold popped up, and I said, "Great, another song to match my perfect lifestyle,"

I walked away, and wondered why I did that.
I probably broke her heart.
And it really didn't help mine.
I heard the door slam behind me, as I walked down the coyle stairs.
Guilt rushed thorugh my veins, and I couldn't help but listen to my father's voice in my head.
"Don't mistreat a girl, ever." Why hadn't I listened to him before?
Everything since my childhood came flooding back to me.
My first crush. My first kiss. My first shot at fame.
This was my first shot at true love, and I was just gonna blow it off?

I turned around on those stairs, and walked towards her dorm.
I knocked slightly, and she opened the door.
She was sad, but when she saw me, she looked annoyed.
"What?" She snapped, and I felt something in the pit of my stomach.
"Well?" She was waiting inpatiently, I could tell.
"I-I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me, if you still wanna go on the date, That would be great!" I said, and right after, I felt like a dork.
"Okay!" She said, and closed the door softly.

I sat on the bench where he asked me.

I thought this was a perfect fairytale.
Why am I so vulnerable?
I left after he was about an hour late, knowing he had stood me up.
I guess I'm not as much like my dad as I thought.
Well, he did tell me he was pretty vulnerable with Lynn that one time, but I'll spare you details.
I walked to my dorm, dissapointed.
I looked around, and saw him, macking on another girl.
Mascara started running down my face, and I just said, "I hate you, Nathan,"
He looked over at me, with sad eyes, but I just rolled mine, and kept walking back to my lonely dorm.
Lonely?
Yeah, my roommates were gone for a little longer than they were supposed to be.
I ripped all my posters off the wall, and changed out of my prettiest dress, to my regular clothing.
Laying down, I asked myself, Why?, then fell asleep, thinking.
