I need help with linking!!

I need help again! My question is: How do you space the words on the link? It only allows me to do this (http://youtube.com). So PLEASE help me!!! I can't space but I got no idea why. I do what I just did with the word "this" and the I space and it goes back to normal. So I'm a little confused. . .

okay when i link something i do this:

step 1-
http://www.mymostwanted.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78600
that's the link before you change anything

step 2-
this (http://www.mymostwanted.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78600)
that's the link when you highlight it then type it

step 3-
now to do more than one word, i just highlight the link then type all the words i want without spaces
likethis (http://www.mymostwanted.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78600)
and when i do that then i put my cursor between the two words and press space
then it seperates it
like this (http://www.mymostwanted.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78600)
understand? if not i could try to explain a different way.. hope i helped ;]
