Not sure if this goes here or elsewhere..since this is games, but it also could go in shameless plugging. So change it to wherever it needs to be.

World of Arklon Plan:

Graphics:

Pixelated, at least at first, similar to Tibia graphics.

Classes:

Mages - spells
Priest - holy spells and healing
Warrior - melee abilities
Archer - archery of course

Goal:

Create an entertaining and interactive browser based game

World:

Arklon

7 zones to start with:

Maruven Jungle - a jungle...watch out...that's a snake not a tree..
Mount Reklun - A mountain...
River of Awakening - around a river obviously
Skyguard Base Camp - on a cloud/angels/etc
Dungeons of Argon - Dungeons/demons/etc
Mr. Jenkins Den - Specifically for internet-savvy people - requires experience to get in to
Fields of Karlinto - Fields with field-type critters...deer...etc

UI will be basic...map in the top right corner, chat box at the bottom left, action bar at the bottom right. Inventory on middle right.

Each class starts with a basic auto attack, and there first spell.

Mages - Fireball (or frostbolt not sure yet)
Priest - Lesser Healing (only heals yourself not others)
Warrior - Tackle (or something like that, basic melee attack)
Archer - Maybe conjure arrow or something.

Game will f2p (free to play), at least until we build up a player list. Once there is about a thousand+ people playing or like 100 or so joining every week we may have a version of Premium Accounts with various upgrades

All in all:

This will be a low graphic online MMO. It will not require downloading anything and will be browser-based (like runescape and aq worlds).

The making of this game has not been started. At the moment this is just an idea, and I'm still talking with another friend of mine about if we will do this or not. What is everyone's thoughts on a game like this? All members of MMW would get a special spell or something of course.

This will most likely be skill-based and not level based but it's still under consideration.

If you don't understand anything i just said, if you don't know what MMO stands for, if you don't know what UI means, and etc, you probably won't be able to get into the zone Mr. Jenkin's Den.

If anyone here is trying to get into online gaming and doesn't know where to start or anything about it, I'll be glad to help.

So, like i said, what does everyone think?

Update:

Our original programmer backed out.

I'm waiting on a response from someone trying to get into the gaming industry as a career.

I'm going to revise what i wrote and give a more clean introduction for the game. Also going to keep working on my flash skills and hopefully start some design soon.

If i get the support i'm hoping for i would expect a release date around next summer. Maybe spring if were lucky. I'll keep updating if people actually reply to this and support the game.
