The New It Girl

Plot:
Lelise moves away from her home country, Greece; away from here family specially the mother that she dearly loves. She gets to go to the United States and live with her sister that is married. What will happen? What will she think of the new school? Will she fit in? Will she fall in love? Or will she just want to run all they way back home to Greece?

Intorduction:
"Your going to America to live with your sister and her husband." My mother told me.

"I am not going, because you will need help here, with Grandma and keeping up the house. My cousins [That are all girls.] around somewhere doing who knows what or who knows who. My aunts are running up and down the road gossiping about people in this village. Grandpa and my uncles are fishing [Family bussiness.] and dad is dead." I told her.

"Your going. You are a lot better off in America where you can work for things and actually get them." She told me.

"I am still not going, I am going to help out with Grandma." I told her.

"Your going and that is it." She told me sternly.

I am standing at the airport telling my Mom and my best guy friend who has been my friend for my whole life.

"I will call you and e-mail you." I told them. "Everyday." Everyday to David who I would deffently keep in touch with. My mom not that much. But once a day.

I hugged them. Waved goodbye. Then boraded the plane for America.

Goodbye Greece.

"One step must start each journey."

I was looking out the window watching the buildings fly by while my sister was driving me threw the downtown of Minneapolis, MN where the airport was located. I was also playing with my hair while I was doing this, I do this when I am not even realizing this and also in deep thought. This is obviously quite different then Greece I kept on telling myself over and over in my head. So different from that little town where I have lived forever until now, since I moved to a big city.

My sister was watching me sitting there taking it all in. "Lelise, this is completely different from Greece, I know what it feels like to be where you are now. If you have any questions or any troubles just come to me you know I am always here for you." She told me resurelly.

"Jannie, thank you. It's sooooo different." I told her in awe. She laughed at this. I rolled my eyes.

Jannie moved here because she fell in love with a boy named Alex who was visiting Greece for the whole summer, she ended up meeting him and falling in love with him and then moving here. It took her a long time to in crouage our Mother to let her move here. She told me my older cousins can take care of me. Yes, my sultty cousins. So I told my Mother that I would do anything to stay away from them and stick around with David my best guy friend I had forever. So she let my sister move at the age of eighteen to America to go live with the boy she fell in love with. Then two years later they ended up getting married and living together, and then, I came exactly; I am not kidding you, exactly two years after they moved in together and got married. Kind of funny huh?

"So how is everyone in the family doing? And Mom with out Dad?" My sister asked me making conversation.

Our Father died when I was three, so I don't remember much about him. I remember him being the funny one who loved to be around his family, and who loved to teach me how to fish and all. He always told me I couldn't get married until I was about fifty. He also always told me and my sister that we would always be his little girls. He was a great guy too.

"Everyone is great. The cousins... Are another story. [She laughed at my comment.] And Mama is doing fine, she cries sometimes just thinking about him. They loved each other very much."

"I am glad that Mom sent you here! I am glad that you can use what you where born with and be successful at it. Back home, we would have became just like Mama. Working at cleaning the house and talking to the people down the streets or whoring it up like our cousins. You will make a great whatever you wauna be." She told me.

"Thanks." I said smiling, "I wouldn't perfur whoreing it around and hiding it from Grandma and everyone else in the family." I said truthfully, my sister nooded in agreement.

"Leslie!" said Alex walking up to greet me, and then grabbing my bags. I looked around my sisters house, there was a bike path across the street and you could see the river too.

"Alex!" I said hugging him again. He almost dropped my bags.

"Hey want to see your new room?" my sister asked me looking really happy about what was in there.

"Sure." I said fallowing my sister, into the house and up the stairs to what was my room.

I walked in and looked around. I had a wood floor, and I had a lime green colored walls. My bed was there too, with really cool bed spread. I had a desk with a computer on it, iPod and an iPhone. I had a bookself against the wall, and a dresser right next to it. I had a little walk in closet, and a bathroom door in there too. My room windows where over looking the bike path and the river. I had a TV in there too with the radio right by it and some DVDs already there. Magazine rack was right next to my radio and the CD rack which already had CDs in it. My closet already had cloths in it. I was all set.

"Thank you so much!" I told both of them hugging them.

This is going to be so much funner then I thought.
