First Day of School At Garret High School

Sara's POV

Right now im walking to school, by myself bored as heck. But Maria walks up to me. "Hey Sara," she said, not as much enthusiam as usual. "Hey Maria. Whats up?" "Not Much." she hesitated "Hey, are you still dating Alex?" At last, the dreaded question i knew all along would come. I sighed. "No. He asked me out 2 days ago but i said no." She looked suprised. "Why?" My answer was simple. "Because its a new school and i want to keep my options open. And after i said no, he threatened me!!" Not a lie. "What!! How?!?" "He said 'Next time i date one of your friends, youll see' and i said 'Was that a threat?' and he said yes!!" "Whats he gonna do?" "I have no idea" I really didnt know. And it scared the crap out of me. I mean this is Alex Alvarez were talking about, the guy that can make anything possible. And thats what scares me the most. My thoughts were interrupted, by the screams coming from behind us. It was my best friend Sadie trying to catch up with us. "Sara, Maria wait up!!" "Sadie!!" I gave her a hug which she returned. "Hey Sade" Maria and Sadie hugged too. I felt that Sadie had something she wasnt saying, or purposely hiding. "How was the last week of summer?" I tried my best to get it out of her. "Okay i guess." Great, gotta try something else. "Hows Matt?" Matt is Sadie's super sexy, now junior, boyfriend. Sadie faced suddenly saddened. "We broke up." Make that EX-boyfriend. "How come?" Maria asked what was probably going threw both of our minds. "Since he is going to Vista High, we decided to see other people," she responded, the sadness never leaving her face. Trying to cheer her up, i said "Its ok Sade, youll find someone at Garret." My efforts didnt work. Then Maria finished, "Speaking of Garret, Were here!!"

Jake's POV

I walked into the school and immediately let out all my excitement. "Junior year here i come!!" But that excitement was instantly destroyed by my annoying younger brother, Nate. "Jake, will you relax" "No. im finally a junior!!" "Nate, let the kid have his fun" said my older brother, Peter but we call him Kolton. You can always count on him to shut Nate up. "Speaking of fun, how does it feel to be a senior Kolton?" "Ok i guess. I just hope i wont have any girl problems this year." There was some kind of desperate plea behind his voice, and i saw something he might not like. "Speaking of girls, here comes one now." At that moment, a beautiful blonde goddess was making her way toward us. Dont get me wrong, shes hot, but im gonna leave her to Kolton this time. "Hey guys. Hey Kolton" she said and smiled at him with her charms set on flirt. I had to get out of there, seeing my brother flirt is NOT the prettiest sight. "Well me and Nate are gonna go." i said hoping Nate would catch on. He did. "See ya" he said and we were gone.

Kolton's POV

She was all smiles at me. I didnt know to take it as friendlyness or as flirtyness. "So Kolton, like anyone yet?" Flirty, definately flirty. "Not really, I have to get to know a lot of people first." I wanted to sound nice, but a little bit interested. If she was disappointed, she definately didnt show it. "Well, i gotta go see Valeria. Bye" She gave me a wink. "Bye," i said smiling. This year is gonna be interesting.

Bell Rings

During First Period

Alex's POV

I walked into the classroom, late like always, and sat next to my best friend Derek. "Hey Derek" "Hey Alex, whats up?" "Nothing much" There was something he wanted to say, i could tell. "So you still dating Sara?" I knew it. I hate this question. "No, she rejected me." I hate the answer even more. "Harsh" Isnt he supportive?? "But I'll get her back somehow" My brain was instantly working, thinknig of schemes and plans to get what i want. "How?" Obvious question but the answer wasnt in my brain yet. But i had to come up with something. So i smiled my famous evilish smile and simply said "You'll see"

At Lunch

Freshmen Hangout

Kristy's POV

I walked to our usual table and sat down. Jessica was already there. "Hey Jess" "Hey Kristy. Hows the first day of school going?" I love this question. "Great!! I love all my classes!!" "Cool" I had a question of my own. "So have you seen Nate?" "No,why?" Long story. "Well," i started "he asked me this morning that if I saw Sara to tell him where, and i did see her so i was looking for him to tell him like he told me too" I breathed in, i said that i like one breath. "Okay," was all Jessica said. At that moment, Alexa came and sat next to us. "Hey guys. Whats up?" We answered....weird. "Hey Alexa" i said then "Eating lunch, you?" was said by Jessica. "Looking at that crazy junior junior running over people to get pizza," that was bizarre then she burst out laughing and added, "He just crashed into a nerd!!" Once we turned around, i couldnt help but laugh too. The junior was on top of the ned, both covered in pizza sauce. "Who is he anyway?" sais Jessica. I knew the answer so i said, "Nate's older brother Jake" then Alexa said, "You never could have guessed it" Considering the difference between Nate and Jake, it was hylarious that remark.

Sadie's POV

Contemplating the scene in front of me, i couldnt help but wonder (and laugh) about this junior. Best way to find out is to ask right? "Hey Sara, do you know that guy?" She looked around then said, "The one who crashed into a nerd trying to get pizza?" I swallowed a laugh and said, "Yeah..." "Thats Nate's older brother Jake" I big smiled crossed my face, i couldnt help it. Sara noticed, of course. Here comes the teasing. "Ooooo. Is someone getting a little crush on Jacobb??"she said then giggled. What did i tell you?? "Maybe...but i dont know, he's a junior" She gave me the "are you kidding me??" look. "Oh come on Sade, youve dated other juniors before, or did you forget about Matt already??" Did she have to bring that up?!? "I tried to.." Apparently, she didnt like my answer so she tried to cheer me up. " Cheer up, I could introduce you to Jake..." And she got her wish. I smiled so big it went from ear to ear. "Thanks so much Sara, youre the best best friend in the world!!" "I am aren't i" Shes so cocky. I laughed. Then someone came up behind Sara and covered her eyes. "Guess who?" I covered my mouth to stop from laughing. She acted like she was thinking then said "Jason?" That someone got angry and let go of her eyes, he said, "Jason!! Geez i thought you would remember your best friend since we were 5 years old" It was Nate. Sara had to protect herself. "I was kidding!! I knew it was you!!" "Good!!" he responded and smiled at her. There was something about the way he smiled at her. Some hidden feeling that he wanted to show, yet couldnt. "So Nate, how was Hawaii?" i asked him. "Really fun!" then he added while laughing, "But Jake got sunburned!!" "Aww, poor Jake" Sara said, which was what i was thinking. "No it was really funny," Nate added, laughing hard. Sara got mad. "You are so mean!!" "Its a gift," he said with a smile, that smile that hides something again. Then he added, "So are you guys walking home today?" That reminded me, "Speaking of that, Can i go to your house after school?" "Saoory Sade. I got dance rehersal after school." That was a bummer. "I forgot, is Jason Gregory still your dance partner?" She didn't have time to answer, because Jason walked up and answered for himself. "Yes i am and very proud" he said and smiled to Sara. I glanced and saw that Nate had a jealous glance on his face. I was the only one who saw it because then Sara said, "Stop being so nice, i'm the one with the amazing dance partner!" I didnt have a chance to look at Nate, because the bell had just rung. So we said our goodbyes and went to class. And for the moment, i forgot the look on Nate's face. I'll have to ask him later.

After School

Sara's POV

I was walking out of school, getting my stuff for dance class, when i heard someone calling my name. "Sara!!" I turned around and saw Nate coming to me. When he stopped he took a deep breath and said "Call me when you get home from dance class ok?" Weird. "Sure...but why?" "I need to tell you something." Even weirder. But i didnt have time to think about it. "Okay, well i gotta go. Bye" I heard a "Bye" by Nate before i slipped away.
