>>4. Now create a transparent layer under your text layer.
>>5. make sure you're still on the "New Layer". Then go to Select > From Path (Shortcut: Shift+V)

Blending tut #1
learn to make:
http://i37.tinypic.com/xn57hk.png
Create a new 400x225 image
For the background we are going to be using this texture. http://i38.tinypic.com/30utw8y.jpg
resize the texture to the width of 450
paste it to your new image
grab your first image. and use this coloring tutorial then save the pic. http://www.mymostwanted.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2324851&postcount=7
grab your first pic again. Layer>add alpha to channel. now delete your background. get your lasso tool, go over the background and press CTRL+K to clear. DO NOT GO AROUND THE PERSON! YOU WILL DELETE THE PERSON.
scale your image to whatver size you want and paste it to your 400x255 image.
now grab your second pic and repeat steps 5-7
now copy your blend. edit>copy and paste your blend copy>paste. then drag your blend to the way bottom so you can only see the top of demi's head.
then desaturate it. layers> colors> desaturate
use this texture and put it right above the desaturated blend. http://i37.tinypic.com/15yyxc8.png
use this texture and put it on the white line texture http://i35.tinypic.com/iyj134.png (http://i35.tinypic.com/iyj134.pnguse)use (http://i35.tinypic.com/iyj134.pnguse)
use this texture and place it on the newspaper texture. set it to screen 100%. http://i35.tinypic.com/16h6udt.png
use this texture and place it on the fireworks texture. http://i37.tinypic.com/sbhurq.png
add text
add this texture to the far bottom right corner. set it to screen 100% http://i34.tinypic.com/2hrlvuf.png
add this texture and place it on the COOL texture. set it to screen http://i34.tinypic.com/2h2p7rd.png
and you're done!

Circle Affect
http://i35.tinypic.com/715ok9.png to http://i34.tinypic.com/29mwq3t.jpg
Once you're done making the base of your blend, DUPLICATE IT
don't add text yet or the text will mess up.
then go to filters > blur > motion blur
make sure preview and radial is selected.
now lower the angle where u can kinda see the person but still blury.
I suggest around 9.
now get your eraser and erase the blur on the person.
flatten image and your done. add whatever u want now!
