“(Miley Cyrus) is just a little too tarty, forgive me. I don’t want her to look like she’s going into a convent school, but it’s just a little too much for a 15-year-old. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear she was 25,” Gunn told OK! magazine.


okay the word tarty makes me laugh for some reason so i barely took it serious. in my opinion miley dresses in jeans or shorts most of the time. but i think he means she dresses 'tarty' (:lol:) is on the carpets. miley has super long legs so i guess the dresses come off as shorter but idk

I think hes been reading too many gossip blogs or hes basing his opinion off vf and the myspace pics or something because Miley doesn't dress tarty. shes always got everything covered. The one time shes ever shown cleveage was the CMT's. Miley's got long legs so thinks look short on her but everythings always covered and she never shows too much skin. Seriously Miley dress pretty conservative for a 15 year. Walk down the halls of any high school or go to a high school dance, the way most 15 years old are dressing makes Miley seem dressed very conservative.

For the ones who don't know who he is.
He is part of the Project Runway TV Show, which is a program totally and entirely about fashion which he should know before talking of Miley.
As I believe people said, she never shows cleavage, the clothes she wears on candids and just her day life are jeans and t-shirts that don't show stomach or cleavage at all.
The only times someone can say she wore cleavage or whatever is at events, and even in events the only time I remember is at the KCA's 2007 and at the CMT's which seemed like a wardrobe malfunction because she was holding the dress during the entire performance.
And dresses look short on her because she has very long legs (thats not an opinion btw LOL)
Coming from Tim Gunn, a guy who lives by fashion, I thought he would say something smart.

of all the red carpet outfits she has worn over the last 2 years their is literally 1-2 that would even be boarderline tarty. The CMT dress and I don't agree but a lot of people are saying the 2007 TCA dress. other then that she never shows too much clevage or skin on the red carpet. When we see pictures of her around wherever she is dressed like a normal teenage, her clothes then are DEFINITELY not 'tarty' and I don't see how anyone can say they are.

When she's on the red carpet she does look older than fifteen, but so what?
If I were on the red carpet I would want to be in a gorgeous dress that made me look like an adult and not a child.
I haven't liked all of Miley's choices of what she's wore at events, but I don't think any of them were over-the-top tarty.

Haven't given my two cents about it yet so here we go.

Last year she dressed above her age for a while though, where I thought it might have been a better idea for her to dress more conservatively but I never would call it tarty; just a bit too old in some cases. There are far tartier things she could have worn, not too mention that her wardrobe choices at events this year have been far more toned down. That's only at events though, in public we never really see her wearing anything besides jeans, T-shirts or normal dresses.

I would say this is just someone who wants to be quoted for saying something about Miley, it gets you in the press. He probably based his opinion on a single outfit anyway.

I think there are outfits that people who would like Miley to stay 13 forever would consider tarty, but she kinda can't so they're the ones in the wrong there. And I do think Miley sometimes looks older than 15 when we see candids too, but because she dresses better than a lot of other 15 year olds, not because she dresses more tarty.

And on a less relevant note I personally kinda like the outfits that shows of her considerable assets, cuz the girl has fabulous legs and if she wasn't jailbait I certainly wouldn't kick her out of bed. ;)
