So, did they even contact you to audition? Or did you just send in your headshot?

I sent in my headshot , resume and cover letter. I didnt get a response, but i dont think it was because actinginfo.blogspot doesnt work.
because some people from there actually got a response.
I think it was just that i didnt have the look for the role ;)
------
hopefully they look at the letters/resumes that were sent in for the older roles , when they look for the person to play Morgan and the other girl.
Because im not paying 20 dollars for a head shot so they can maybe respond. they have my stuff, hopefully they look at it, even if it has the name of another role on it .lol

If I do it I'm gunna have to get my manager to call them to schedule an audition, cause there is no way they get to all those headshots. I have to deal with my parents being stupid on top of that. My parents can't take time off work if it's not definite and it costs a bunch to fly out there and for hotel bills and a rental car. My parents just paid for me to be home schooled...so they can't really afford that. But I only decided to be home schooled so that I could do more acting jobs. UGGHH stupid cycles and stupid money crapness.

lo l,my mom would do it because shes like one of those werid ppl (no offence mom) she saves money for things like that can you audtion even if you dont have an agent??? i probably wont get i nthought because i dotn think there gonna fly from my school to my house to a castign call.

hollywoodhunny91
08-26-2008, 09:28 PM
They call you if they are interested, but unless you have a manager and they see your headshot and have definite interest, then you most likely won't be able to audition. It says not to call their casting office unless you are a manager or an agent representing talent. So a regular joe schmo would get turned down. And they have LOADs of headshots to look at. They just scan through them and if you don't stick out, it goes in the trash.

^^oh well that sucks.

anyways, when i saw this, i immediately started dialing my bff's number who has been trying to get on disney channel for a while. She says she'll look into it, and stuffers. sooo....idk if she'll get any parts, since she's only 13, but hey...miley was too young, right? everything is possible.

oh, i will!!!
it's cool, because her mom is like her manager. and she is really pretty, but i bet if she wore her glasses and didn't straighten her hair she would have the morgan look.
idk if she'll even try out for it, though. I mean, her mom hs very flexible work scheduals and she could just take her laptop with her and she'd be at work :P she deserves it, for all the stuff she's been trying to do to get on disney.

I thought you shouldnt pay for school at all unless you go to a private school...
Unless yours is like the best out there , i guess.

I live smack dab in Southern California and even i dont know how to get a agent or manager, dang. :S

Ah, that would be my dream acting role, but I'm no where near ready.
We don't have 5 bucks for acting lessons, much less money for headshots or an agent.
But it's my dream to get on with the Disney Channel with singing and acting. (:

My dad would have a cow, too. He isn't quite supportive of my acting. According to him, I'm going to end up living on the side of the road and working at McDonalds because I want to start acting young and not go to college. It's horrible, because he doesn't stop with just putting me down. He'll make cracks at my mom because she never finished college. It just sucks.

Aha, I'm just old enough for one of the people. :P But I'll be 15 in December.

hollywoodbunny92, you pay for homeschooling? Mine is pretty much free. :P

Ya, I do BYU independent study.
I'm a senior and this is my first year of homeschool, so we'll see how it goes. I don't have a teacher I just study on my own and take tests. I'm also taking a college course that costs like 500 bucks. And each high school credit is like 200 dollars. And each class is 2 credits. Luckily, I finished all my electives in my other three years of high school.

I wish we had more money, cause we don't get to do much. I only have my manager cause there is no cost. She only takes 15% of whatever I earn. the problem is that my headshots are from the seventh grade pre-braces. They are also black and white, while they changed the standard to color the year after I got them. So I need money for headshots before I go to any more auditions even though I booked all the ones I've gone to. UGH. Having no money sucks. I work at a grocery store, so hopefully I can pay for my own plane ticket... and my mom already promised me new headshots. Then there is the problem of hotel.. car rental ..ect. If the auditions were in March it'd be different cause I'll be 18 and I could go without them.

Ooh. My mom just homeschools me. I just started my freshmen year yesterday.

How do you get a manager?
And all that's hard. I only have a babysitting job 2 days a week. It was suppose to be 5 days a week but my mom took the rest of the days for herself. And I'm only getting paid 5 bucks an hour.... but that'll pay for the classes, won't it? :P
Ah, it's all so hard. And especially if you don't have both parents supporting you on it.

Yea, it is kinda sucky. So far my list for today, is find a good headshot place. Try to contact my manager, and get an appointment for zoom. Also do a bunch of chores and get an early start on school so they can't say anything negative.

And my friend who has been on That's so Raven and 7th Heaven.. Lizzie Mcguire and a bunch of other stuff gave me the info and I went to audition and she signed my sister and I right off the bat. :) But she only manages for the Washington D.C. area and only auditions clients once a year, in March.

Wow. Just wow. I wish I could be doing all of that. xD

Who's your friend?! I love watching those shows.
Oh, seriously? I live in Virginia. About 4 hours from Washington DC. xD

I live like 30 minutes away, but my manager is centered in Maryland. But she isn't hiring talent this year, you could wait til next year, or check out Miranda Towsend (I think that's her name) who is the only other ligit manager in the area.

And my friend's name is Britany Lapham. She played Scabs in the episode of That's so Raven called Xtreme Cory.. the one where he learns to skateboard. And then she plays Linda in 7th Heaven, who teases Ruthie for being friends with a monkey and teases her after her brother kills a kid after hitting him in his car. Those are her most notable roles. She moved to LA and I'm pretty sure she has a different manager now so the Disney role was not from my manager. So I hope mine still has the connections.

But GOOD NEWS! I got the info on Zoom Whitening and got a photographer for my headshots so I think as soon as we save up the money, we're good to go. I just hope we do it in time to audition. I hope the actual auditions aren't until pilot season (February) but I think Disney might be hiring all year round.

Are you freaking kidding me? I saw that Raven episode. xD I hadn't seen that 7th Heaven one, though, I don't think.

Thanks. I probably will check them out, but I need more experience to really do anything, I think. I'm looking into voice lessons atm.

That's awesome! That'd be freaking cool if you got any of those parts. xD

Ugh, A part of me really wants to do this. I'd really have to hire a manager and an agent, hard work.
I highly doubt they would even consider me since I have no previous acting experience. I really gotta convince my mom, to get me into this.
I'd audition for Brianna, I'm the perfect age for her. Plus, I would love to play the mean girl XD
But 90% of Disney Channel mean girls are blondes, which could be a problem..
