help in photoshop cs3 installation

I just downloaded photoshop cs3
but the proplem is I CAN'T INSTALLED IT!!

when I open the setup it make the system check and it says
installation cannot continue untill the following application are closed:
internet Explorer
please close the application(s) listed above and click "try again" to continue the installation.
click cancel to exit setup

ughh I didn't open internet exploere !!
I don't even have one, I just delete it from my lab top
but it keep telling me that !! :o
so guys any help ? :'(

i think you should shut down and then start the laptop again.

SAME thing happened to me.
I ended up uninstalling internet explorer and still got internet explorer pop ups.

I dont remember how I got it to work. =/

i think you should disconnect your internet first,
and then connect it again.

it worked for me last time...

DO NOT use internet explorer or any kind of web browsers (i.e. firefox, opera, etc.) while installing PS CS3. It interferes with the installation.

You just have to wait it out.

hmmm, if your internet explorer is uninstalled and it still
doesn't work... try closing anything that would USE internet,
like msn, etc.
and if that still doesnt work, what kind of like, computer is yours?
is it windows? windows vista? etc.

I see, try doing this.

press ctrl+alt+del to bring up the task manager, click on the "Processes" tab, then find "iexplore.exe" which is the internet explorer, select it and then press "End Process". If you can't find the iexplorer.exe then I don't know what's really happening.
