"Here's the facts on this: This song was not written for Katy Perry and was never given to her. She was brought in as the demo singer. At the time she hadn't become an artist and had no record deal. That was a year and a half ago. After the demo was made, the song was sent to Miley Cyrus' A&R guy at Hollywood records. They loved it, but it was too late to get it on her last record. AND Miley felt that it would be a great song for her next record as Miley Cyrus only, because it sort of represented to her the idea of breaking away from the Hannah character and showing herself (hence the album title "Breakout"). Katy decided to put her demo version on the internet so that she could try to embarrass Miley after Miley dissed her regarding the girl-kiss offer from Katy. Plain and simple, the song was meant for Miley from the time the demo was finished, and it was never Katy Perry's song. Katy was the demo singer. Besides, it is obvious that the song wasn't written for Katy who's in her mid 20s - the song is about someone in high school! These are the facts, and I ask all the Miley fans to please help spread the word. Thanks"

If this song isn't that old, then that would put Katy at early 20's. A person in their early 20's would not be singing about high school. It sounds like the song was always written for Miley. I'm kind of ticked about this. Katy used Miley to get her name out there for something other than music.

The demo thing would explain it, though it still shows that it wasn't written by Miley but a third party. Katy wouldn't release it though, there's nothing in it for her to do that. Things just leak, including demo versions. That demo version of Noah Cyrus singing Driveway also leaked so they must have a demo leak at Hollywood Records.

Perez always tries to create drama where there is none, especially when Miley is involved. He said it in an interview after all; they're starved for another trainwreck and they want Miley to become one.

I'll never understand why people think Miley of all people will be come a trainwreck, most of the train wrecks in hollywood follow similar patterns, many of which are the dead opposite of Miley. look at Britney, Lindsay or even now Shia, they all came from broken families, troubled homes, parents with their own set of major issues, parents that enabled bad behavior and joined them in participate in it, and unlike Miley the first 4-5 years of their careers, they were 100% wholesome(even britney off stage), scandal free, sounded like walking publicists. Miley doesn't fit the typical trainwreck pattern. She comes from a great home, her parents are together, shes close with her family and if she misbehaves shes grounded, most of all shes treated like shes normal.

That is so stupid, I can't believe that! She didn't even copy. Besides, she DOES have original songs. Some of them are on her "Breakout" album and on her "Meet Miley Cyrus" album, too.

Miley did not recieve writing credit in the booklet for writing simple song, however the way shes talked about it in interviews shes implied that she cowrote that song.
No Miley loves Wake Up America, she wrote for it to be on her album specifically. its one of Miley's favorite songs on the album other then 7 things and BOTO.
Katy did backup for Driveway, but Miley defiantely wrote that song and did the demo(that track with Noah on it). I have no idea what song it could have been, it wasn't BOTO, not Simple Song, Four Wall, Breakout, GJWHF, it couldn't have been 7 things and Goodbye is just not something Katy would do, its not for her voice or her type of music. Maybe Fly on the wall? I don't think it would be full circle.

yeah because if Katy did demos of two songs on Miley's album then one of them would have to have been a song Miley wrote herself. Simple Song, remember Jeffree did a demo of this just for himself and for his son, so they alread had a demo type thing of that song. I'm guessing it would be Fly on the Wall, its the only one that really fits Katy's voice. Etheir way, the song was Miley's. the only two you could say are not Miley's are four walls and GJWHF.

I HATE that stupid Katy Perry!!!!!!!!!!!! She's soo gay and dumb! Why would she do that? She's just jealous that Miley is the center of attention and Katy is left in the dust singing her dumb "I Kissed A Girl" song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow no need to bash katy. how do you know she was the one to
put it on the internet? she obviously isn't the only one who has hands on her demo. perez had to get it from someone right. and it didn't nessasarily have to be katy who leaked it (or gave it to perez).

and katy doesn't even come off as the type of person who would try and ruin miley like that. and in the Ryan Seacrest interview with Katy she said "Miley can do whatever she wants to do." and if that means miley didn't want to kiss katy then katy would be okay with it.

I don't think Katy leaked the demo, I think someone in her camp did, or someone on her side. Maybe someone did want to embarrass Miley. I don't think Katy is gay either. I Kissed A Girl isn't even about being gay, it's about getting drunk and kissing a girl. I don't think that qualifies as gay. JMO. Other than wanting to sleep with or kiss Miley, she seems pretty straight to me.
