Miley Cyrus suggests it's the end for Disney's 'Hannah Montana'

The future of Disney (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/The+Walt+Disney+Company)'s hit show has come into question after its star Miley Cyrus (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Miley+Cyrus) suggested the series might be coming to a close.
"We're thinking this is our last season," Cyrus, 15, told E! News (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/E!+Entertainment+Television+Inc.) in an interview set to air Tuesday night.
The show, which is about to film its third season, "seems like it's been on, like, longer," she said.
Cyrus has played the role of Hannah Montana, a teen rock star who lives a double life, since she was in her early teens.
Cyrus' remarks come during a trying year for the teen sensation. The singer-actress apologized in April after posing for suggestive photos in the May issue of Vanity Fair (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Vanity+Fair+Magazine). Cyrus also said she was "truly sorry" for racy pictures of herself that were leaked online around the same time.
But despite her recent comments, Cyrus' publicist told the Daily News that the teen sensation has no plans to leave the show.
A Disney rep wouldn't say what the future holds for "Hannah" - after the fourth season.
"We start production on the third season of 'Hannah Montana' on Aug. 4 and have an option for a fourth season beyond that," Disney's Patti McTeague (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Patti+McTeague) said. "We look forward to the 'Hannah Montana' feature film coming to a theatre near you in Spring 2009."
Regardless of when her show ends, Cyrus points out that she's still a part of the Disney family.
"You know, they're safe," she said. "They always feel like home, and that's what I love about the company. They are family."

i hope so, hannah montana was getting boring and Miley
will be better of with other things.

I personally think that Miley doesn't wanna do Hannah Montana after the 3rd season, cause she doesn't seem very excited about doing another two seasons. I think disney will try to do a 4th season. To be honest, i think they should stop with the 3rd one, there's so far you can go with one show.

Well, it has to end one day! Cause, being Hannah Montana makes people think she's kiddish! But her REAL music, her MILEY CYRUS music, is grown up and is different from the Hannah Montana music.

Even one of my friends says she doesn't like Hannah Montana anymore cause it's kiddish, but she just said HANNAH MONTANA, as in the show, not Miley Cyrus.

So Miley needs to end the show one day and focus on HER music. She can't be on Disney for long and have that much younger fans all because of a kiddish show. She needs fans who like her for who SHE is, not because of Hannah Montana.

As she grows up, she outgrows Hannah Montana. Her music is more grown up than Hannah's. Hopefully, it will end, cause Miley will have a better reputation as Miley Cyrus, but not as Hannah Montana.

Thank god, HM is after 2 seasons a repetive show with nothing to it, I'm not even watching season 3, Miley needs to be known as Miley Cyrus only as she's grown up out of HM into her own artist(IMO she should get a label that isn't Hollywood records to comletly abandon disney leaving them with JB as there only cash cow and puppets *nodd nodd*
