i live in a small town and last night there was a picnic and all my friends and i went. we were sitting in the grass talking and i noticed this old guy wearing a red hat and white shirt kept walking around us so i said something to my friends because he would stand at a tree and watch us then walk to the flag pole and watch us and one time he actually touched me as he went past and it had to be on purpose because there was sooo much opened room behind me..after awhile we got scared so we went on the sidewalk by some more of our friends and then that guy kept walking down the street so we got up and started walking to get starbucks and we were half way there, away from the big crowd and the adults when we got a call saying there was an old man going around in a red hat and white shirt and he already tried kidnapping 2 girls(dont think thats true), so we ran back to the picnic and when we got there a bunch of adults came over to us (later we foundout they had been watching him follow our group) and asked what we saw and if we were ok (my crush's mom was one of the adults haha) and i told them he touched me so my crush's mom was like omg r u ok?!? r u sure ur ok?!?..anywho they found the guy but when i told my parents this morning, they didnt even care..my crush's mom was more worried about me than my own parents...

My town is significantly boring. I think we've had a grand total of two maybe-predators that didn't actually do anything in the town's existence.

one was this random homeless (which is dumb because we have a shelter) guy who only wore an army uniform. I don't know if he was a predator, but he sold drugs to underaged girls.

There was also a guy who was staying at the motel (located in the ghetto of our place) down the hill from the school...Which is a 2 minute walk from my house.
He was a registered sex offender but apparently left to go to Florida?

gosh i hate creeps like that!!!! its creepy because i used babysit this one girl who lived next to these apartments where 2 sex offenders used to live and walk around! i rember this one time we had to lock the doors close the curtains and go into the bathroom in the basment wich had no windows because he was acting sapishos (sp). one time my neicie and i got in a fight at the public pool in her town and she left and well she was walking to her moms work since i was babysitting her she wanted to stay at her moms work and this guy asked her for a ride home. we've had this one guy come and work out on the track when we're running and hes trying to show off to all the girls in my class, so instead we just stand around our guy friends the whole time
he like runs with our class and tries to get our attention when he runs by us by coughing, almost running into us, and such
our teacher wont do anything though because its an open track even though its creeping everyone out

i remember about a month or 3 ago, this guy [he was beaten with a bat when he was 16, and he so he still thinks he's 16] who's like, 40 [?] was waving at me and my former best friend. it started getting scary when we would just walk by his house, just walking around the neighborhood like usual. he would just wave. but then he started telling us to go over there and to give him a hug, and so we avoided that path. one time we were walking back from hanging out and talking at our school [which is like, 2 blocks away from our houses] [and we were taking the alternate route to get home so we didn't go in front of his house] and the guy started waving at us, then he started running after us [stupid me, wearing potato shoes] but he doesn't run fast, so we out ran him by a longshot. But we had no where to go where he wouldn't see us, so we ran up the hill about 2 blocks, which was barely out of eye shot from his house, where he was looking for us [it was like, 3 pm? nice and sunny out too.]. So we sat there for like, ten minutes, and her mom had to come pick us up.

There's a neighbor beside us who used to abuse his wife and daughter. [this was before I was born, i think] sometimes she said she would see a police car outside the house at night. Mom said one day, he and my dad got in a fight and he slapped my dad upside the head. My mom had to hold him back so he wouldn't strike back. He has settled down since then. My mom also said he used to call here all the time and harass her. He's pretty scary, but he's not like that anymore.
He's not a predator, I guess, but he was dangerous.

I've gotten to that stuff is I was on a rollercoaster and some guy was taking pics of me and my friends, but it was 45 mins. away from I live. Thats scary and sad. I'm always afraid of murderes in my closet at night. I have an attic connected to my closet

They were at a soccer games and this one girl wasn't playing and she was on the bleachers (but she was on the team) And someone grabbed her randomly,

One time when i was at the beach house with my friend, we went swimming at the pool down the road. and everyone was out shopping when we got home. Its only a small beach so theres hardly no one there. and theres no shops either. so they were out of town. I got dressed and she had just finished getting dressed - and i was making some food for us to eat. and these two people came to our back door. She just walked out and they came to our door. and they're like. Hi. I'm Ben and this is Sophie. Whats your name? and i was like :| uhm.. Bob. and she's like.. Bill. coz we didnt wanna tell them our real names. anyway. they're like.. okay... boys. well.. we're staying. we were like WTF. so they went out to our tablee out the back and they were doing something. and we were so scared. coz everyone was out. and all the people we know there are behind us - meaning we would hvae to go out the back for help. we ran into my mums room and grabbed the phone and i started calling my mums phone. we heard this strange smashing noise and we were like. OMG. wtf is goingg on. wth are they doing (the beach is really peaceful) just as i called i saw her car pull up and she got out. and we ran outside and we're like. MUM THERES THESE TWO WEIRD PPL HERE THEY'RE ABOUT 25ISH YEARS OLD. and she's like.. are they called Sophie&Ben and i was like.. uhh. yeah. and she's like. oh i forgot to tell you they were staying. my bad. and it turns out they were smashing ice on the table for there drinks =P . Ben never lets me live it down.

Another time when i was walking home from my friends house with my friend - this car started slowing down.. and we got scared. It was pitch black.. and this guy got out and he was like "Girls.." and we were like :O OMFG WTFF. and then he's like.. wheres number 10?
turns out it was the pizza man =P just doinggg his job.

& then theres this art teacher who is a really good teacher but he is such a creep

One of my friends has to go to summer school (but she super smart so idk why) at her church. She has this one teacher named Mr. Sam and she think's he... is a sexual abuser. I was like, " Nah" Then she said that he looks at her alot and gave her his number and touches her near inapropriate place.
She slept over that night and so did my other friend. She (the summer school girl) was asleep and her phone rang, now me and my other friend wanted to answer it but then it was a text message. It read;
' I got a bit of a crush on you, to find out who i am
go here' We were like OMG! It was from some random guy named glentome29 or soemthing. We were like who is that! When she woke up we told her and she firgured out it was his number. Thats was last week and she hasn't done anything yet.... I'm scared for her

whoa =0...at my school, well the middle school i just graduated from we had a music teacher who always hit on the guys and we always would go outside instead of have class cuz she just let the guys do whatever they want...anyway there were only 5 girls in the class including me(the rest were in band) and one day we were sitting outside talking and the teacher came upto us and asked us who we like (we didnt tell her) then she told us what boys she would date! she was like "robbies my overall favorite, hes a nice boy...sams my second, hes so polite and really knows how to treat a girl...jared is going to make a good husband for someone someday.." it was weird!

Jesus, that is really alarming. I'm sorry for your cousin, that is truly horrible and must have been very traumatic.

Unfortunately there are people who do this sort of thing. Not many, very very few in fact. So few, they aren't worth worrying about. But, if you do you come across someone who seems to be taking an unusual interest in you, the best thing is to tell someone and recommend they tell the police. These people need to be caught, and most of them have criminal histories.
