Actually they wouldn't, the movements are so subtle and unintentional that you can't really tell. The only real proof of a Ouija board working would be the pointer moving without touching it. Haven't you ever wondered why you have to touch it? There's no real reason for it (I know someone will use the channeling spiritual energy argument or something like that) other than needing something to move it.

And that video is obviously faked seeing the camera shakes before it happens (probably a third person present), there's also no reason why they should stop the video there.

The counselors found out about it though and got pretty mad haha. But it was totally not real, and I know that my cabinmates just didn't like me or something stupid like that.
I've tried "testing" ouija boards several times by asking it the answers to questions that no one but me would know. It never worked. Why do you think that someone always has to have their finger on it? Because someone has to be moving it and it wont' move by itself.

Well that's a possibility. They could have been made to let people hear what they wanted to hear. And the subconcious thing is a possibilty too...
But I do think someone would notice if their arm was moving, even subtlely...

I think the possession thing could be in the minds of some people, most those of Christian faith.
I'm not Christian, as most of you know... I've made it well known to where most people know that, but I don't think that spirits will come and attack you and kill you and mess you up.
I know people who are perfectly fine from using it, and I think it might only work if you say something or do something to open up the spirit world.
Spirits just cant randomly find you right?

Maybe if you are Christian that could benefit you, Christ could prevent spirits from harming you and stuff... but I don't really know.

I think it's BS, TBH. Not that I don't believe in spirits, you move the pointer yourself I believe (I've never played), my mother said she played with the Ouija Board when she was about 11 years old with some friends. Supposedly, the board never her gave her the answers. She did it several other time's with her friends, she hasn't been haunted or possed. She's never seen a ghost before, and she's almost 55 years old.

You know people can MAKE themselves go crazy, even start seeing and hearing that aren't really there, specially if they weren't so mentally healthy to begin with. If you fear somthing too much, you can get anxious and overly cautious of everything.


I guess their's a chance the game wasn't played the "right" way, this is the How-To Guide, I found.
It takes two to Ouija. Usually one person is not able to work the Ouija. Get a friend to use it with you. A male and female is usually recommended.
Timing. Most practitioners suggest using the board at night when, they say, less interference is in the atmosphere.
Create some atmosphere. The Ouija is more fun if you darken the room and light some candles. Turn off the TV and any music to minimize distractions.
Have a seat. The two users should sit facing each other, with knees touching if possible, with the board on their laps. Don't use a table.
Decide on a questioner or medium. Even though both people can ask questions -- or anyone else in the room can -- only one of the users should be the medium (the one to formally ask questions of the board).
Place your fingers on the planchette. You and your partner should place the fingers of both hands very lightly on the planchette, or pointer.
Move it. Purposely move the planchette around in a circle on the board for a moment or two to get it 'warmed up.'

Have someone write down the answers. Sometimes the letters spell out very quickly and it's difficult to keep track of what's being said. A third person with paper and pen can write down the message as it comes.
Play sober. You'll get better results if you haven't been drinking or smoking.
Maintain control. If the board starts giving rude, vulgar, obscene or otherwise disagreeable responses, break off the session immediately by closing the board.(NEVER do anything you don't want to do, I'm just posting this from About.com. It seem's their might be a certain way to contact the spirits, If it does work..)

My friend asked it who she's lose her V to, and it said Kevin (it was like 2 years before that happend) and it was right.... WEIRD.
So I KNOW they work. Just sometimes, people move them by themselves... is there anything you say before you use it?
Maybe Kevin is the person that she wanted to....you know....with.

There are things that you have to say before you use it, yes.
My friend had an ouija book that had all sorts of things that you could say.
Mostly it's just like praising the "spirits" and telling them that you believe in it and focusing your energy and mind on it.
If you make something up that works fine too though.

it "closes your connection to the spirit world" apparently so there's no chance of you or one of the other people getting possessed or whatever.

btw, I totally don't believe that it works, I'm just telling you what I know about them :P
