Jamie Lynn Spears (http://justjared.buzznet.com/tags/jamie-lynn-spears) opens up to OK! (http://www.okmagazine.com/news/view/7750) with an exclusive interview and photoshoot, talking about life as a mom!
For Jamie, family comes first, saying, “Around here, everyone has the same focus. The focus is family, and that’s a good way to live.”
The 17-year-old actress also talks about life with boyfriend Casey Aldridge, parenting classes and labor pains! “They’d told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready to have the baby in three to four hours,” said Jamie. “I had a perfect pregnancy (http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/07/09/jamie-lynn-spears-baby-ok-magazine/#) and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed.”
The former Zoey 101 star continued, “We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I’ve worked one out with her, and we’re happy going about our little life!”

though im 17 and i cant imagine being someones mother
right now. it doesn't actually seem like shes holding her
own baby, it seems like it should be someone elses, she
looks so young. oh, well. i can't wait to see more pictures.

she dyed her hair to make her seem..

I don't have a specific problem with Jamie Lynn, I don't hate her for what happened, but I don't "support" her either.
What happened was HER choice, and she dosen't deserve extra support or something for something that happened within her control.

I just don't like how this entire thing is sort of glorifying teen pregnancy in a sense. So many people see her holding her baby like, that, smiling, and think "aw that's cute". I'm not saying all the people who say that are gonna go out and have kids now but I think teen pregnancy isn't being viewed as seriously as it should be. Jamie Lynn is very lucky that she comes from a wealthy family who will help her support and take care of her baby. Most teen pregnancies aren't like that; at all. A lot of people can't afford to take care of their child, or don't have the time since they're in high school, and they have to give it up for adoption.

Or if they do decide to keep the kid, they may have to drop out of high school or something and their whole life could be ruined. I'm not saying that having a child isn't a beautiful thing no matter what age you are, I just feel like this is making it seem like having a kid at that age is a GOOD thing when to be honest it COMPLETELY isn't.

Definitely true. I don't follow celebrity news or magazines too closely, but I thought they (media) would have beaten on her a lot harder for what happened.

I guess it being such a sensitive issue, with people having diverse opinions on the subject, news organizations tried not to demonize nor glorify her, rather simply assume a sort of neutral stance on the subject and let the public flame away.

If they inclined too far on either criticizing or praising, activists from one side or another would have probably come out with some statement pointing out said news organization as bad. Instead of going through the tedious work of finding a balance of positive-negative talk, it was much better to simply report the news the way it was meant to be: unbiased, and let the people decide for themselves.
