I think a lot of kids are put down by their parents because they want to be something many people would like to be. Your parents are trying to help you. Always know that. My dad supports me 100%, but my mom doesn't want to see me get hurt. There is a lot of competition in the business right now. You just have to know that. If you are meant to be what you want to be, it will happen, but it may take time. Just know the journey may be long, but when you make it; it'll be worth it.

I have to say is follow your dreams because you don't know where they can take you. It's worth a shot.

So they're all: "Pick a good college, major in something that will be a lasting and productive career", blah blah blah. So then I told my mom later that I wanted to be a singer and actress, and she like, completely flipped out. Well, not flipped out, but like...was, in a way, arguing with me. She even made me cry because she wasn't believing in my potential. She wasn't supporting me the way I wanted to, or the way parents are supposed to. She wasn't giving me the freedom to dream or actually believe I could accomplish something like being a singer/actress (at my age, right now). And I'm not saying she's a horrible parent, of course not, she's the farthest thing from it. But it made me think, "Is this really what I want to do? Is this how I'll react if I did make it in the business and say, I got regected?" You can't be like that. You have to know you can do it and not let anything hold you back.

And I never did give up. I still do want to be a singer/actress way more than anything else, and I'm sure she knows that (after taking voice lessons and such).

But if that didn't work out, I'd love to be an artist or photographer (like, for magazines or fashion...or maybe even wildlife, that'd be wicked cool).

My advice for people trying to achieve their dreams (whatever they may be)?:
Even if the world is pulling you down, just believe in yourself and you can achieve anything.

thats the same thing that happend to me. but.. i never feel like im getting the support that i should. arent parents supposed to encourage u to follow ur dreams??

ah, well. I have nothing set in mind. Just stupid teenage stuff, that I imagine I'll grow out of eventually and find something half way possible.

So, my ideas right now would have to be....
-CONCERT Photographer, I wouldn't want to do any fashion stuff. Just concerts; Backstage...ect. Concerts are what I live for, so to combine two things together that I love would be like PERRRFECT, in my opinion.
-Writer/Author...whatever, I love writing. People told me I'm good, but thats just fanfiction stuff. I haven't actually taken time out and tried to seriously write a REAL story. Sure, fanfictions are real stories, but not with my own individual characters, they just have famous people in them. -le sigh-
-Psychologist, I like helping people, nuff said.
-Graphic designer, but my graphics aren't that great, so this is at the bottom of my list. :P
