Chapter 1
Make A Wish..and hope it comes true.

Laina's POV
"Wake up Lain! It's your Birthday!" My best friend, Alexa, yelled and jumped on my bed.
I rubbed my eyes and groaned, as she kept jumping. "I'm up! I'm up!" I said, and sat up alittle.
We got dressed, and went downstairs to have breakfast.
"Rents aren't home...as usual" I sighed, and we ate our corn-pops in silence.
No, there's no special Birthday breakfast, and I'll probably never get a "Happy Birthday Sweetie" from either of my parents.
I doubt they even remembered, my mom works two jobs, and my dad is always away on buisness trips for at least two to three months at a time.
"Who knows, Laina,...maybe something good will happen to you today...I mean, it is your birthday," said my one, and only, best friend Alexa Marvil.
I mean, I have other friends too, but Alexa and I have always been inseperaable, and she's the only one who can ever cheer me up, especially when I'm down about my parents.

Nick's POV
"What do you mean we have a sister!" Both of my brothers, and I yelled back at my parents.
"She's a year younger than you, Nick, but we put her up for adoption, only because we didn't think we were ready for another baby, after we had you" They told us.
"And we thought you three were old enough now, to hear it, today is her fifteenth birthday." My dad said.
"So...who is she? Will we ever meet her?" Joe asked. "Yeah...where does she live?" Kevin asked.
You see, my parents just decided to tell us about this girl...our sister, now that were old enough to know I guess.
"Her name is Laina, she lives in New Jersey. She lives with, who she thinks, are her two parents, John and Mary Larson." My mom told us.
"So...your telling us that...there's this girl names Laina Larson, who's really Laina Jonas, and she doesn't even have any idea that she was adopted?!" I asked, very confused.
"Prettymuch..." My parents both said, in unison.
"And...she doesn't even know who she really is?" Joe asked.
"Yeah" My dad told him.
"So...when do we get to meet her?" Kevin asked.
"As of right now...never." My mom said.
What?!

Laina's POV
"Close your eyes!" Alexa yelled randomly, as I shut them.
I heard her whisper somethings, to my two other friends, Peyton and Bailey.
"Ok...open!" Alexa yelled, and placed a plate with a small cupcake and one lit candle on top on the table...the best they could do.
They all sang happy birthday to me.
"Make a wish, Lain!" Bailey said, as I blew out the candle.
"What'd you wish for?" Peyton asked.
"Um...if I told you...then it wouldn't come true..." I said.
"But...I really hope it does."

Chapter 2
How Hard Could it Be?

Nick's POV
"So..there's no way we're ever going to meet our own sister?" I asked.
"Boys, we don't even know where she lives, or that much about her." My mom said.
"Like, we can't even send her a birthday card! That sucks!" Joe yelled.
"We have to find her...she can come on tour with us!" Kevin said.
"Chances are...she still hasn't figured out she was adopted. And, we know NOTHING about her life, she might never learn...who she really is."
"Then...we'll have to find her, now, won't we bros?" Kevin said.
"YEAH!" Joe and I yelled.
"Boys, it's not easy to find someone you have no information on." My dad said.
"Who says we don't have any information on her." I said.
After all, we did know her full name, and both of her other parents full names.
And, we know what state she lives in.
How hard could it be?

Laina's POV
After we talked and had our own little "party" of just the four of us, we went to the PinkBerry.
I ordered my usual, and so did Peyton, Alexa, and Bailey.
And no, I DIDN'T get any birthday presents.
None of us can afford anything...well...let's just say...
none of us can afford anything more than a pack of gum, with our allowances.
"So..Laina...enjoying your birthday yet?" Peyton asked me.
"Uh...yeah, sure" I said, forcing a smile.
Then, my cellphone rang.
"Hello?" I said, answering it.
"Hi Laina, sweetie, Happy Birthday!" I heard my mom say, through the phone.
Whoa, that's a first, I've never gotten a Happy Birthday from my parents, EVER, except for maybe my first birthday,
or was that my nanny who said that?
"Mom? Hey!" I said, brightening up a bit for the first time in prettymuch, my entire life.
"Listen, since it's your 15th birthday I figured you were old enough to hear this..." she said.
"Um...what is it, Mom?" I asked.
"Honey, all these years when you thought your dad and I were your Real parents, we'll...we aren't. You were adopted." She said.
My mouth dropped right open, I dropped my phone, but Alexa caught it, and held it up against my ear.
"Laina, honey, I mean how could you POSSIBLEY ever think that I was your mother...we barely look anything alike!" That stupid women acted as if it was obvious.
We'll...I did kinda look like my dad, but I always BELIEVED my parents when they told me those, fake, stories about when my mom was pregnant with me.
Liars.
"So...who are my real parents?" I managed to say into the phone, as Alexa held it for me.
But I was too late, my mom had already hung up, obviously avoiding talking more about it, and hearing my reaction.
I took my phone, and slammed it shut.
My friends looked at me weirdly, my mouth was still hanging wide open.
"I'm...I was...adopted." I whispered.

Chapter 3
What About Now?
Laina's POV.
So there we were, the four of us, sitting at
a small table in the PinkBerry.
My mouth hanging wide open, and my eyes were practically bulging out of
my head, as Bailey described it.
"Who knows, Lain...this could be a good thing!" Alexa said.
I glared at her.
Miss Positive was SO not helping today.
"And how could this possibley be good?" I asked, groaning.
"You could be like...royalty or something!"
"Some royal family." I muttered.
"Whatever Lain." She replied, rolling her eyes.
"So...you planning on meeting your real parents?" Bailey asked me.
Yeah, sure, so I can find out I've been missing out on an even WORSE
life than I have now.
I don't think so.
"Yeah, you have to Laina!" Peyton agreed.
"Guys! If my actual parents didn't want me when I was born..what makes
you think they'll want me fifteen years later?" I asked.
"I'm probably just a mistake to them, one fifteen year old mistake" I
sighed, and looked down at my black, worn-out converse.
"Come on Lain...that's not true" She said.
"Alexa we both know that it is. My parents obviously only put me up for
adoption because they didn't want me. THEY DIDN'T WANT ME."
She sighed, and ran a hand through her hair.
I did the same.
But, I actually did want my friends to be right, about my real parents.
No, they didn't have to be royalty, all they have to do is love me.
And I would really love a sibling more than ever, brother or sister it doesn't matter, but it kills me that I have none of that.
I know they didn't want me fifteen years ago.
But what about now?
When I need them more than ever.

Nick's POV
Me, Kevin, and Joe just lounged around in the hotel room for a while.
Kevin, was rapidly typing on his laptop, researching any information he could find, on Laina.
Can you blame us?
We just found out we have a sister, and we really wanna figure out what she's like.
We don't mean to be like stalkers..it just seems that way.
"Yess! I got it!" Kevin blurted out, pointing at a webpage on the computer screen.
"Got what?" Joe asked, cluelessly.
"Dude! What has he been searching for for the past two hours?!" I said, hitting him in the back of the head.
"Whatever, so what'd you find?" He asked Kevin.
"This article...about her dad, John Larson. Apparently he's a CEO of some big company, and they have practically an entire biography on him." Kevin said.
"Anddd..." Joe and I both said, telling him to get to the point.
"Andd...It even tells you what high school Laina goes to and neighborhood their living in, and that just happens to be where out next show is."
"Awesome! So we can meet her!" Joe said.
"Not exactly...but we do have a secret weapon." Kevin said.
He's really good at this detective, searching for people stuff.
Well, a heck of alot better than I could ever be.
"And who is that?" I asked.
But then I remembered.
How could I have forgotten?
She was only our best friend since we were born, until we moved to LA, but we still are great friends with her, we just don't see her as much.
And, she just happens to live in the same neighborhood, and goes to the same high school as Laina too, who knows? maybe they're friends.
"Peyton Westwood." We all said together.

Chapter 4.
Nick...who?
Nick's POV.
After a while of talking about our plan, we called "Finding Laina", we decided to call Peyton.
I dialed her number on my cellphone, and waited impatiently taping my foot, until she picked up.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Hey Pey! Listen we gotta talk to you. Are you going to our concert tomorrow night?"
"Nick! Hey! Um...yeah I think but-" Peyton said, but I cut her off before she could finish.
"Great, cool. We'll send someone to give you a backstage pass at the show, okay?" I told her.
"Uh, yeah, sure. But I gotta go, it's my best friend's 15th Birthday, and were at the PinkBerry" She said.
"OK, but guess what!?"
"What..." Peyton said.
"We have a sister!" I yelled into the phone.
But then, instead of her regular reaction, "Ohmigod that is soooo cool,"
I heard her phone slam shut.

Laina's POV.
"What's up with her?" Alexa whispered to me and Bailey, after Peyton shut her phone.
But now, her eyes were bulging out of her head and a hand over her mouth.
"What's wrong Pey?" Bailey asked.
"Yeah...who just called you?" I asked.
"Um..my old friend Nick, you guys don't know him, but he uh.." Peyton looked shocked,
I heard her mutter some things to herself like, "No, it couldn't be her!" and "That's impossible, can't happen, never would, what am I thinking?!"
"He what?" Alexa asked.
"Nothing...but I gotta go, I'll talk to you guys later." Peyton said, queitly.
She got up, and started walking out the door yelling, "Happy Birthday Lain!" on her way out.
Bailey, Alexa, and I looked at each other strangely, with a "What the heck is up with her?" look on each of our faces.
"Weeeirrdd..." Alexa said.
"Yeah...and I've never heard her talk about a Nick..." Bailey said.
"Yeah...Nick who?" I asked. They both shrugged.
Strange.
