We had been together, friend's forever, for almost 14 years, since we were 2 years old!
My friends, Elizabeth May, Erin Rose, Emily Warren, Madison Walker, and I, Samantha Davis, were all on the cheerleading team.
We were also mighty popular.
But we turned 16, my best friend, Madison or Maddie, literally took over the entire highschool!
She gave us a chance to join her.
My other friends joined her so they would not be caught in her wrath, the Wrath of Mighty Maddie as everyone called her.
I stayed behind, so Maddie made me an outcast.
Then I met a boy, but Maddie wants him.
Do you know what it is to be betrayed by your friends?

Chapter 1

Samantha

I walked into school on Monday. I held my cheerleading pom-poms in one hand and my backpack in the other. Walking to the gym, I prepared to face my enemies, my friends.

"Five, four, now! Tigers go, Tigers do. They'll kick the whoop out of you!" cried my ex-friend, Madison, or Mighty Maddie.

Why did they start practice without me?

"Hey? What about me?" I cried as Maddie climbed to the top of the pyramid. "I am captitan and always on the top!"

Mighty Maddie laughed.

"No! Not anymore, LOSER. The team voted me captitan. And I kicked you off the squad," she said.

I stared in disbelief.

"No, Maddie you did not!" I cried.

She smiled.

"You could've stayed on my side and followed, but you didn't. So bye," Maddie said and walked back to the squad.

Tears entered my eyes, and I threw my pom-poms down. I ran to the bathroom and sat in a stall, crying uncontrollably waiting for reality to settle in.

Maddie

"No!" Sam cried.

"Boo-hoo," I mumbled as she ran off.

Who cared?

I ruled the school.

Chapter 2

Erin

I walked to my locker and opened it up. I saw Samantha stepping out of the bathroom.

"Erin?" she asked.

"I can't talk," I whispered.

"Why?" she asked.

"Maddie's rules," I said, and I walked away.

Samantha gasped as Maddie came out of the gym.

"Erin? Did you send this "loser" away?" she asked.

I cringed at the tone of her voice.

"Nnnoo," I muttered.

"Well, do it!" Mighty Maddie shrieked.

"GO AWAY, LOSER!" I screamed.

Samantha took a few steps back.

"Erin, you do not mean that!" Sam cried.

Mighty Maddie nodded and pushed her onto the ground. Everything was horribly wrong.

Who cared?

I was on the winning team!
