Hi. My name is Nicholas Jerry Jonas. I was born on September 16, 1992. I’m currently 15, and I’m already living my dream.
You may know me. I’m part of a band.I grew up in New Jersey with my family. I was part of many Broadway shows,
and also tried a solo project. My brothers came and visited us, and just started to sing along with my songs. From then on, we have
become the Jonas Brothers.Sometimes I love my career, but other times...I don’t.
Sure, my brothers and I are being compared to the Beatles. Yeah, I have a lot of people supporting me. And of course, I’m doing what I love.
But I never get any privacy, I never have time to hang out with my friends, and I never get to see the girl I’m madly in love with.

Chapter One; Stuttering is attractive?!



Nick's POV

I was sleeping peacefully until I heard Joe's voice. "Wake up curly, Leslie invited us over her house." my brother told me as he
tapped my chest. I groaned "Why?" I asked him while rubbing my eyes. "She's having a pool party or something..and guess
who's gonna be there?" he asked me playfully. My eyes widened "K-ristin?" I guessed. Joe patted my shoulder
"Nice guess. Now grab your swimming trunks 'cause they're waiting." he smiled. I laughed softly "Okay, now get out dude." I told
my brother.

He walked out of my room and closed the door as I opened my dresser to look for my swimming trunks.
"Kristin." I said to myself, I ran a hand through my curls. When I finally found my swimming trunks,
I entered my bathroom, washed my face and brushed my teeth. After that I grabbed a towel and
made my way downstairs.

I was greeted by my other older brother Kevin, who was reading a newspaper. "Ready to go?" he asked me. I nodded
"Yeah let's go." Joe stood up and went to the kitchen to say 'bye' to our parents and Frankie.

We were on our way to Leslie's house, her house was 3 doors from ours. We live on a gated community
so there are no paparazzis or crazy fans around us. All the people in our neighborhood know eachother
so we're like one big family. Kevin and Joe stopped walking as I kept walking. Joe started laughing
"Nick, what the heck?! Come back here." he said. I stopped walking when I realized that I passed
Leslie's house. I walked back where my brothers were. Kevin smacked my head lightly "Wake up
Nick." he said.

The door opened and we saw Leslie standing there. She ran towards us and gave us all bear hugs.
"Come on guys, Maria, Kristin, and Michelle are waiting." she told us. We all smiled "Chyeaaaaah
let's get this party started." Joe said. I'm still wondering why he's so hyper when its like 10:00 am.
I looked at Leslie "Les, why are you having a pool party at 10 am?" I asked her. She laughed,
"I don't really know. I mean its summer and the weather is so nice..so why not?" she smiled.

I nodded and looked at her "Good point." I replied. I held my hand out "Let's go my lady."
I said playfully. Leslie looked at me and was trying her best not to burst out laughing, but
failed because the next thing I knew she was on the ground laughing her head off.
"N-i-ickk. Phew, buddy..you are funny." she said. I laughed and started rubbing my neck,
yes that's what I do when I get embarassed. "Sorry, I'm just trying to act gentleman-ly
for Kristin." I told her.

She finally stopped laughing and looked at me "Hmm, you know? She's waiting for you." she told
me. I nodded "Yeah let's go." I said. We both entered her house, and went to her backyard.
Kevin and Joe were already in the pool with Michelle. Michelle was laughing her head
off because Joe was trying to do a handstand. Maria approached me and ruffled my hair.
"Heyy Nick." she said. I gave her a hug "Yo, what's up?" I asked her. She smiled
"Oh nothing really..oh hey, Kristin is over there..go talk to her." Maria said as she
pointed to where Kristin was.

Leslie nudged me "Go ahead Nick." she said, giving me some kind of encouragement.
I shaked my head "Nah, I-..I shouldn't" I told my two best girl friends. And yes
there's a space between girl and friends. Anyways back to the real world. "Okay,
that's fine 'cause she's on her way over here." Leslie told me. I looked at Kristin,
as she made her way over where I was standing.

"Heyyyy Studmuffin." she said jokingly. Okay well you see, my brothers and I are
really good friends with Leslie,Maria, and Kristin.And yes I do have a HUGE crush
on Kristin. A long time ago I told them about Kristin.
I told them to keep it a secret, but Joe had to open
his big mouth and told Leslie and Maria. I mean, its not that I didn't want Leslie and Maria to
know..its just that, they're gonna want to help me ask Kristin out. There's nothing
wrong with that, but I prefer asking a girl out without any help.

"H-he-yy Kr-ris-t-tin." . Kristin gave me a weird look. "You know Nick
J..its weird how you always stutter when you talk to me. You
really need to stop that." she laughed as I rubbed my neck..again.
Ugh bad habit, sorry. I managed to crack a smile "Oh pshh,
you don't think its attractive when a guy stutters? I mean I find it
adorable when girls stutter." I replied. Leslie and Maria looked at me,
"Laaaaame." Maria mouthed.

Kristin laughed "Okay, whatever you say. Let's go have some fun." she said.
Maria, Leslie, and I nodded. We all held hands and jumped in the pool together.

Chapter Two: I'm gonna do it.

Nick's POV


I walked miserably to where Leslie and Maria were sun-tanning. Or whatever girls do. Actually, they were sitting up straight and talking. I sat in between them where there was an empty lounge chair. I slummed back, and looked around, with nothing to do. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Leslie and Maria roll their eyes. Leslie spoke up first. "What happened with Kristin now?"
I looked at her, with a questioning look. "Why would you think it's about Kristin?" Maria gave me a look, and I sighed. "Fine, fine. It's about Kristin. She's dating Joe."
They both looked at each other and burst out laughing. This didn't stop for minutes. "K-k-Kris dati-dating Joe?" They saw the expression on my face and stopped laughing. Or tried too. In a few seconds, they were at it again.
Maria stopped laughing first, and I was grateful for that. "Okay, so you think that Kristin is with..with Joe?" She giggled. "Nick, that's like me or leslie dating you. Just plain weird." Leslie agreed. "Yeah, uber weird. Joe and Kris are like brother and sister. They meet years ago. It like, technically, can't happen."
I considered what they said, and it was true. I nodded. "Thanks. You guys are right." I got up, started walking, and turned around. "I do not know what I would do without you guys." Maria sighed. "yeah, yeah. just go." Leslie nodded. "We need our tanning time." I smiled at them. Same old Leslie and Maria.
I put one foot in front of the other, not really knowing where i was going. Before I knew it, I was flying in the air, and then landing in bushes.
My chance with Kristin like this= 0%
Maria and Leslie came running towards me, then grabbing each of my hands, and then pulling me inside Leslie's house. They closed the screen door. Leslie sat down next to me. "Yeah. Kristin will surely want to go on a date with you now." I looked down, and then at her. "Thanks a lot." I mumbled. Leslie and Maria burst out laughing again. Maria hit my shoulder."We're just playing with you, Nick. It's called, 'take a joke.'" Leslie smiled, and then giggled, stretching out her hand and grabbing some leaves out of my head.
I got up, and leaned against the glass window. "I cant go out there now. Kristin already thinks I'm a clutz."
"Your not a clutz. Your just not..cordinated." Maria gave me a playful look. "JK, nick." Leslie sat down on a chair, and looked at me. "Nick, Kristin likes you. She's always have. She always will." Maria nodded, sitting next to Leslie. "Yeah, nick. Dont beat yourself up for every little thing. You are going through relationship blues." Leslie smiled. "Or shall we say Kristin Blues." They both giggled, and I smiled. "You always know how to make a guy feel better." They both grinned, and Leslie spoke up. "That's why we are here for. I promise you'll be fine."
I nodded, getting a confidence boost. Maria got up, and opened the patio door to the pool. "You are the famous Nick Jonas, part of the Jonas Brothers. You could do it!" She smiled, and I returned the smile, and looked at both of them.
"Okay, I'm going to do it."
Leslie seemed to ignore those words. "I mean, if she's not the one for you, the one for you is out there somewhere. But you never know unless you try."
I tried again. "Okay, I'm going to do it."
Now Maria ignored me. "I mean, Nick, you like 10,000 girls that want to meet you. More or less,date you. Just think of Kristin like one of your fans. You always feel comfortable with them."
Okay, so they both ignored me. I tried once more. "Okay, I'm going to do it."
Now they both started talking to each other. This is what I get for having girl best friends.
"GUYS!"
They turned their heads. "What?"
I nodded, and took a deep breath. "I'm going to ask Kristin on a date."

Nick's POV




I looked at Leslie and Maria one last time before going outside. They both gave me a thumbs-up.



I smiled at them and walked my way back to the backyard. Joe and Michelle were talking about



jelly beans.. wait. Jelly beans? Right. Michelle approached me. "Nick, will



you please tell your annoying brother that the popcorn flavor is dis-gus-ting." she said to me



as she threw the popcorn flavored jelly beans on the trash can.




Joe gasped "Oh no you didn't girlfriend." he said in a girlish voice. I laughed at how



immature and crazy my brother was. I rolled my eyes "Guys, I have some business



to do, so talk to you later." I told them. As I was walking away Joe grabbed my arm.



"By business do you mean..like bathroom..business?" he asked. I gaved him the



WTF? look, "Bro. NO, not that kind of business." I informed him. He sighed



"Phew. Okay dude." he said.




I saw Kristin playing with Leslie's adorable puppy. "Aww what a cutie." I said.



Kristin looked up and smiled at me, "Thank you." she replied. I rolled my eyes



playfully "Uhm, I was talking about the puppy." I told her. Her eyes widened



"Ohh, dhuur I knew that." she said, her cheeks turned red. I started laughing



"But I must admit, you do look cute today." I informed her. Whoaa, I cannot



believe I just said that, wow I definitely deserve a pat on the back. Anyways,



her cheeks turned even redder; I thought it was the cutest thing in the world.




She finally stood up and wiped her shorts as the cute puppy ran away. Kristin



looked at me and laughed. "Wow, I guess she doesn't like you." she said. "Mmhmm, now



I am heart broken." I said jokingly. Kristin ran a hand through her wet hair, then



she looked at me "So what are you up to?" she asked me. I shrugged "Nothing really..." I paused
then looked at her. "Kristin..will you go on a da-." I stopped.

She was waiting for me to continue what I was saying but I didn't have the guts to

continue. She nodded “Haha okayy..” There was an awkward pause. “Oh hey,


wanna go inside and make some smoothies??" she asked me . I nodded, "Yeah sure."




Kristin's POV




Nick and I entered Leslie's kitchen and when we got there we started attacking Leslie's



refrigerator. I looked at Nick, "What kind of smoothie are we gonna make?" Nick looked at me.
"Strawberry, definitely." he said. I smiled at him, "You got it



boss."




We finally finished putting all of the ingredients in the blender after 10 minutes



of looking for the right stuff in the Keaton's pantry. "Ready?" I asked Nick, without



even letting him answer my question I pressed the little 'blend' button. And the next thing



I knew, the smoothie was flying everywhere. "Holy smokes." I shrieked. I was trying



to turn it off but it wouldn't turn off. I looked at Nick and he gave me the YOU'RE DEAD look.



We were both covered in strawberry smoothie, "Turn it off. Turn it off." Nick said,



I pressed the 'off' button about 5 times now and it still didn't work. "It won't work,



just unplug it Nick." I said to him.




He grabbed the cord and unplugged it. We both stood there, laughing our butts off.



Nick was the first one to speak "You look crazy." he said. I stuck my tongue out.



"Psh, I wouldn't be talking if I were you mister." I said. We both stood there laughing for about



5 minutes until Kevin, Joe, Maria, Michelle, and Leslie entered the kitchen.




"Aww man you two had a smoothie fight and didn't invite me?" Joe asked.

I looked at Maria and Leslie who both spoke up. I guess they were REALLY
surprised by the mess Kristin&I made in the kitchen. Maria's mouth was hanging
wide open, and Leslie's was shut into a tight line. And by the look of her face, I knew
I was really in trouble. I looked over at Kristin, who sheepishly looked down at the
floor. "You are soooooo dead." Maria said/murmered. Leslie started walking
towards me, and I was starting to back away. "Your gonna get it, yo-" Leslie was
interupted by Maria blocking her way to me. "Get out the way, Ria. Or do you want
to get hurt too?" I saw her quickly shake her head. Leslie started walking again
towards me, but Maria blocked her again. I couldn't really see what Maria was
whispering, but I saw Leslie's face soften to a nice expression. She smiled, and
stopped walking towards me. She turned around. "Okay, everyone out." I watched
Kristin leave. Greeaaat. Maria and Leslie walked over to me."Thanks guys. You
scared Kristin off." Maria giggled. "No, you did. You look really scary." I fake-
smiled."Thanks. I'll take that as a compliment." She giggled again. Leslie nudged
maria with her shoulder, and maria looked at her. Then they both looked at me, and
hit me on the shoulders. I stepped back,shocked and a wee bit hurt. "Ow! Hello? And
you claim to be my friends? Friends dont hit each other." Leslie nodded. "Yes they
do. Especially when their best friend doesn't tell them about his date with Kristin."
Maria nodded. "Yup. It's like the number one friendship rule." I sighed. "It wasn't
really a date. We were just making smoothies." Leslie murmered, "Yeah, and you
also destroyed my kitchen on the way." I looked at her. "I'm sorry, ok? It wasn't on
purpose." Leslie studied me for a minute, and then looked down. "I know. Sorry." I
nodded. "It's ok." I started telling them about my 'date' with kristin. (yeah, yeah. i
admit it was a date. Actually…well kindof like a date.) We got interupted by Joe
knocking on the glass door leading to the patio; Leslie opened the door for him. "So
you got your date with Kristin." Maria rolled her eyes. "Nosy, much?" Joe nodded.
"Yes. Yes I am." Leslie laughed, but then stopped by the look of my face. So then I
explained the whole story again to Joe, but AGAIN got interupted by someone
screaming Joe's, Leslie's, and Maria's name. It was michelle. Joe ran out first, and
then Leslie did. Maria had a look on her face, which was scaring me a bit. "What?" She
shook her head slowly. "Nothing. 'Cept you owe us. Like 50,000 times. Each." I
laughed, but then noticed she was serious. "What? no. I dont owe you for anything."
She nodded. "Technically, you do. We were the one's who adviced you to go ask her
on a date, and you did ask her. You got your date. So...you owe us." I was about to
protest but I knew she was right. "Ok, fine. Just to let you know, IT WAS NOT A
DATE. But..50,000 favors?" She nodded. "Yup. You've wanted this since forever.
You got it, thanks to us." By the look on her face, I knew she was enjoying this. And I
was not. She smiled at me, and begin to walk towards the door. I followed her, but
she stopped me. "Hmmph, I think I'll take one of those favors now. Clean up the
kitchen." Kristin came in at that time. I smiled at her, and she smiled back. That
moment was once again ruined by Maria. "oh, and you have to do it alone. 49,999
favors to go." Yup. She was REALLY enjoying this. She smiled at Kristin, and
smirked at me. She inched closer to me. "This is what you get for having girl best
friends. " Yeah. Exactly what I thought.






Kristin’s POV

I looked at nick who was rubbing his neck. I’m guessing it’s a habit of his, because he
does it quite a lot. I smiled at him, as he looked up at me. “Hey. Sorry if you got in
trouble for the whole smoothie thing.” He laughed, but avoided looking me in the
eye. After a few akward seconds of silence, he finally looked at me. “Um..do you
wanna? Do you wanna? Um…” I smiled, and he finished the sentence. “Do you wanna
go get some real smoothies?” I grinned, and nodded. “It’s a date.” And this time, he
grinned back at me.

Chapter Five: He's so excited. And he just can't hide it.





Joe's POV


I was at Leslie's backyard with Kevin and Michelle. I am guessing that Maria is upstairs with Leslie, while Nick is
cleaning the kitchen. I don't know where Kristin is, she probably left or she's probably helping Nick. Oh I don't know.
Kevin was telling Michelle and I a story, it was about driving and I was getting bored. I looked at Michelle and gave
her a LET'S-TELL-HIM-TO-SHUT-UP-LOOk. Michelle rolled her magazine and smacked Kevin with the magazine.
Kevin stopped talking and looked at Michelle as he rubbed his head , "Ouch." he groaned. Michelle and I laughed.
"Kevin, bro. You really need to make your stories more interesting." I said to him.


Kevin laughed "Whatever kids." he replied. I gasped "I am not a kid." I said, trying to sound hurt. Kevin rolled
his eyes, "Oh stop being a drama king Joseph." he retorded. Michelle laughed "Okay guys, let's go to the park." she
said. Kevin and I nodded our heads.


We entered the kitchen but Nick wasn't there. "Uhh, where is curly?" I asked Michelle and Kevin. The kitchen
was clean...very clean I must say. Ha! Nick is such a goodie goodie. I looked around the kitchen, nope,
no sign of Nicholas. I screamed at the top of my lungs, "Holy cow. My little brother is missing.
What happened to him?! Ahhh, what did Kristin do to Nick." I said. Kevin looked at me, then smacked me.
"Dude, shut up." he said. I put a hand on my mouth "I think he got kidnapped.." I paused, I was waiting
for a dramatic sound but no such luck, I didn't hear any, "..by Kristin." I continued.


Michelle and Kevin hit my shoulders, "You are such a weirdo." Michelle said. Then we heard footsteps,
Maria and Leslie came downstairs. They looked annoyed. "What happened?" they both asked.
"Nick got kidnapped." I replied. They started laughing, "Joe. He's on a REAL date with Kristin." Leslie told me.
Michelle looked at her "Oooh la la. A real date huh?" she asked. Maria nodded "Yerp. I don't
know where they're going. Nick didn't tell us." she said.


There was a few minutes of silence. After that Kevin was the first one to speak. "Well. We're going to the
park. Wanna come?" he asked Leslie and Maria. They shook their head, "No thanks. We're watching
ANTM." Maria said. "Okay but what's up with girls, and ANTM?" I asked them. And all they did was laugh
at me.

We were on our way to the park, the weather was amazing. It was around 4:00 and it wasn't
too hot. It was still hot, but it was breezy at the same time. Michelle looked at me then Kevin.
"Do you guys remember Allison?" she asked us. Kevin wrinkled his eyebrows.."Allison who?"
he asked. Michelle smiled "Matthews. Allison Matthews." she said. Kevin's eyes grew wide.
"Whoaa, yes. I remember her." he said, and I swear..I thought I saw him blush.


I looked at Michelle "Yeah. What happened to her? She like disappeared." I said.
Michelle laughed a little, "She didn't disappear Joe. Remember when you guys went to Europe?"
she asked.Kevin and I both nodded. "Well, she went to New York to live with her aunt for two months."
she said. Kevin looked confused, "Why did she go to New York?" he asked. I shrugged,
"I have no idea. But..she's coming back today." she said excitedly. I smiled, "Really?"
I asked. Michelle nodded, "That's awesome." Kevin said.


Michelle nodded "Yeah. And she's gonna meet us at the park." she replied.
Kevin started jumping up and down like a maniac. Then I realized
that there were two teenage girls looking at him. I looked at them,
"Psh, yeahh..that guy..nah, I don't know him. Ha! what a goober." I said.
Both girls started laughing then walked away. "Ahem, excited much?" Michelle
said. Kevin finally stopped. "Psh yeahh..yeah. I mean come on. She's a good friend
of ours, and I haven't seen her in like centuries." he stated. Michelle looked
at Kevin, "Uhm Kev. You weren't friends with her. Nick was the only one friends
with her." Michelle told Kevin.


Kevin didn't know what to say and he started blushing. Ha! I always thought he
had a crush on Allison.Michelle and I looked at eachother. "Okaaaay then."
we both said. "Well come on,start walking a little faster." Kevin said. Michelle and
I laughed as wecontinued walking to the park.

Chapter 6: Kung Fu Grip

Leslie’s POV later that day.

Maria had called and told me that Nick got back from his date with Kristin. She also said she couldn’t go see Nick with me because she had to babysit her little sister. Oh well, Guess I’ll just go see Nick alone. I approached Nick’s house, knocking on the door. Frankie opened the door, and I smiled at him. “Hola kiddo. Is Nick here?” He nodded, pointing with a finger to the backyard. I stepped into the house, saying hi to Mr.Jonas, and opening the back door. I looked outside, noticing Nick wasn’t there. I walked around the pool, yelling Nick, but there was no answer. Shrugging, I opened the door to go back inside, until I heard a soft strumming in the distance. I stepped back outside, and started walking towards the bushes. I stood up on my tippy-toes, trying to see who was doing playing guitar. Of course, there was Nick playing his guitar to nice tune. I smiled as he began to sing a song.

“Wow.” I covered my mouth as I realized that I had just said that outloud. He didn’t know I was there, listening to him. Nick turned around and looked at me, then grinned. “Spying on me, much?” I giggled nervously. “Um, yeah. That didn’t work, did it?” He shook his head, and smiled. “So, what do you think about the song?” I walked over, sitting next to him. “Well, for sure..It’s about Kristin.” He turned bright red, and nodded. “Is it that obvious?” I nodded, with a small smile on my face. “Well, for me it is, and when Maria hears it, then it’s going to be obvious for her too. But don’t worry.” He nodded. “Anything else?” I grinned. “It’s amazing, I love it.” He smiled, and then looked away. “I am seriously falling more and more in love with Kristin everyday. But I don’t know if she is.” I rolled my eyes. “God, nick. Are you that clueless? I mean I could expect it from Joe, but from you? Of course she likes you. It’s like..so obvious.” He looked back at me. “Maybe your right.” I tilted my head, sighing. “Nick, I’m always right.” He laughed, and got up. I got up too, and we walked towards the back door again. “So, we got the new Guitar Hero Aerosmith Game. Wanna play?” I laughed, and nodded. “Yeah. But don’t cry when I bet yah. Oh and you have to tell me about your date with Kristin!” He chuckled. “Of course.” As we begin to go up the steps to go inside, I stumble over loose board on the steps. My sandal flips off and I go falling right into Nick’s arms. This pushes him backward, unsteady. We end up in a big pile right at the edge of his porch steps. “Ouch!” I squeal. But I’m the one squashing him. “Your superstrength is no match for me.” He laughs, trying to push me up. “Watch it, Nick.” I laugh back. We try to stand at the same time, but it’s no use. We can’t seem to untangle. Rain starts to spill from the sky, spraying us like a fountain. Finally, Nick gets free, stands up, sticks out his damp hand, and helps me to my feet. It takes me a while to steady myself. For a reason I don’t know, Nick doesn’t let go of my hand right away. As he’s holding my fingers in his, I feel all fluttery inside. I get a tingly feeling, and I feel like electricity had passed through me. I shake my head, quickly forgetting it, but also wondering why I felt like that. I let go quickly, and wipe my hands on my shirt. He begins to walk inside, so I follow him, feeling safe-and close. Wait. This isn’t a crush, I tell myself. I can’t crush on someone I’ve known since we were in diapers. No way. Nick is my best friend. F-R-I-E-N-D. I don’t like Nick that way. Besides, all that matters at this exact moment is beating Nick on Guitar Hero. That’s my plan, and I’m sticking to it.
