New fanfic. New people.
This time, it's camp rock. And, it's in Tess' point of view.

Ok, we obviously know that me and Shane didn't work out.
And that I apologized to everyone, I had ever hurt.
But, seriously. Did you really think I meant it?
It's a new camp year, and another way to redeem myself.

first day of camp

I'm back. And better than ever.
I'm ready to take over this camp, once again.
"Hey Tess," I heard someone call.
I whipped my head back, and saw someone familiar.
"Hey Shane," I replied, rolling my eyes.
I shot him my signature "Whatever major loser" hand movement thingy, and left.
I wasn't going to let him ruin my good time, this time.
I have better things to do.
Like win Final Jam.
Speaking of Final Jam, where is last year's winner, and Ella?
I started searching, and searching, until I came across Mitchie.
Ew. That man stealer.
Well, she's not really a man stealer, because her and Shane aren't going out.
Unless they have something to admit.
"Hey Tess. What's up?" she asked, grabbing my attention.
"Just looking for Peggy and Ella," I replied, looking behind her.
"I don't think they're here yet, but good luck."
Great. That was no help.
"Tess?!" I heard Ella's clueless voice behind me.
"Ehmagawd!!" I squealed, turning around, to hug my camp best friends forever.
It seems as everything's back to normal.
I hope it is.

After unpacking, Ella, Peggy, and I all walked over to the stage, for Opening Jam.
Almost everyone was there. Except for Shane.
Where is that kid?
Caitlyn and Mitchie were standing together, giggling at something Mitchie had said.
Dee took the stage. "Hello Camp Rockers!"
"Hi Dee!" we all singed back.
We didn't want her to make us do it again, like last time.
It worked.
"Ok guys, welcome back!" she squealed into the microphone.
We all cheered.
"So, remember last year, we had a special star come to our camp!" Dee sing-songed.
We cheered again.
"This year, we're having three stars here!" she yelled.
"Three?!" I squealed to Ella and Peggy, hoping it would be someone extra hot. Hotter than Shane Gray.
"Guys come on out!" Dee called to the side of the stage.
Nate, Jason, and Shane all ran out on stage.
"What?!" I demanded, confused.
I mean they're cute and all, but all of Connect Three?
This camp is pretty popular. So that obviously means they get a lot of money, right? Couldn't they afford someone else?
I looked up at Nate. He had given this look at Final Jam last year that looked like "Whoa. She's hot."
Does he feel the same way?
I hope so.
This year is going to be the best summer of my life.

The next morning, I woke and went straight to breakfast.
I saw Nate and Jason there.
Shane never went to breakfast.
"Natie!" I called from across the room.
I caught his attention, and he came straight over.
Jason was trailing right behind.
"What about Jasonie?" he asked, stupidly.
"Alright, Jasonie, too!" I squealed.
"Shane better make me a birdhouse this year," Jason mumbled and went to go get breakfast.
Nate rolled his eyes, and looked at me. "What do you want?"
"Just wondering if you want to sit with me, I mean, Peggy and Ella are still sleeping." I explained.
"Fine," he agreed.
I led him to the line where I got a drink, and some eggs.
"What about waffles?" he asked.
"Morning carbs, huge no, no, Natie," I replied, like I had last year.
Why don't people understand it?
"Whatever. And please stop calling me Natie," he responded, pouring a huge puddle of maple syrup on his plate.
"Tess! Natie!" I heard someone call.
"That must be my new name," Nate muttered to himself.
I shot my head around, and saw Peggy and Ella.
I rolled my eyes, and kept walking with Natie.
Time for a new Tess. A new crew.
I'm too cool to know you. Don't take it personal, don't get emotional.

this could be the start of something new

After my breakfast with Nate, we had class.
Ella, Peggy, Mitchie, and Caitlyn were all sitting together.
I could tell from their evil glares, that they were mad.
I saw these two girls. One with honey blonde hair, and one with jet black hair.
I walked over to them. They looked like the type of people I could push around. I mean, every good star need a great posse.
"Hey, I'm Tess. Tess Tyler."
I saw a smirk from each of the girls as they exchanged glances. They obviously knew each other before camp, and were new.
"Hi, I'm Emma, and this is my friend, Sam," the blonde girl said. She had this thick English accent.
"Nice to meet you," Sam said, reaching out her hand in front of me. She had the same exact accent.
I shook it gratefully, looking over at my former friends, and now enemies. They were giggling and laughing.
Emma looked as if a lightbulb went off in her head. "Is your mom TJ Tyler?"
"Yeah," I replied, smiling. This could be good, very good.
"Oh, so you're like the ring leader?" Sam asked.
"Yep," I answered, copying their English accent.
"Hey, would you guys like to be in my group. Like for the Final Jam and stuff?" I asked.
"Yeah!" they agreed in unison.
"Great, I'll get my songwriter to write some great songs for us."
And with that, Brown walked in.
"Hey guys!" he yelled. "Welcome back!"
I rushed to a seat, and smiled.
This could be the start of something new.

I was sitting in my cabin with Jason and Nate.
"Hey Nate. I saw you eating with Tess Tyler this morning," Jason called. Nate was brushing his teeth.
"Yeah," he said as he spat out the toothpaste. "Got a problem with it?"
"Tess Tyler? Good going, dude," I said, giving him the thumbs up. Tess didn't like me anymore, and if Nate could score her, awesome!
"Hey, what can I say? I'm the ladies' choice," he laughed, coming back to sit where me and Jason were.
"So dude, are you going to make a birdhouse or what this year?" Jason asked, hopefully.
"Dude, enough with the birdhouse!" I yelled. "Why don't you make one yourself?"
"Ok dude. Don't be so harsh," Jason said. I saw a smirk from Nate.
"Hey, do you think we can compete in Final Jam?" Nate asked.
"No. That's for amateurs. We already have a record deal and stuff, so we can't." I explained.
"Alright, I'm gonna go!" Nate said, running out of the room, slamming the screen door behind him.
"Where's he going?" Jason asked.
"I was just thinking the same thing," I agreed.

I sighed. "Go to the drawer, and put it in," I whispered, as though the solution was obvious.
"So I just came here to ask you out," Nate said. "So will you go out with me?"
"Chyup!" I squealed.
"Great, so I'll see you at Pajama Jam, right?" he asked.
"Yeah," I agreed.
He walked over to the door, and left.
"Oh. My. Gawd. Ehmagawd you guys!" I sang, imitating Elle Woods from Legally Blonde the Musical.
"Whoah, that was close," Emma sighed, he English accent, still strong.
"I just love that accent!" I squealed.
"Thanks!" Sam and Emma said in unison.
We picked out our outfits, and went to Pajama Jam.
I couldn't wait to rub it in Shane's face.

Emma, Sam, and I arrived at the Pajama Jam wearing light pink boxers (girl boxers, you know the ones you wear to sleep), and a tank top.
I spotted Nate, and walked over to him. He was with Shane and Jason.
"Hey guys!" I squealed.
"Hey," they all replied.
"These are my English friends, Emma and Sam," I introduced, putting emphasis on the "English" part.
"Uh, Tess," Sam butt in. "We're not English, we're Australian."
"What?!" I asked, majorally confused. They had me thinking the whole time that they were English, but they're really Australian. Isn't there a whole distinctive way to figure that out? Like Australians, their accents are more southern sounding.
"We're Australian," Emma clarifyed. I could hear Jason and Shane's snickers. And I could feel Nate trying to shut them up.
"So buddy, where'd you go this afternoon?" Jason asked Nate.
"I went to Australia," Nate replied, making Emma and Sam giggle. I tensed up.
"Really dude? That's awesome!" Jason said, completely oblivious of the fact that it was a joke, and not the truth.
Soon Dee grabbed the microphone, and said "Alright, please give a warm welcome to Caitlyn, Mitchie, Ella, and Peggy!"
The four girls got on stage, and Caitlyn grabbed the mike. "Alright, we're pumpin' up the party, now!" she shouted into the microphone.
"Thanks, Cait," Mitchie said, and grabbed it. She was going to sing first, then Peggy, then Ella.
They started the song, and Nate, Shane, Emma, Sam, and Jason were all clapping and cheering.
I on the other hand, was not.
I mean, they're from Australia. Aren't they not supposed to break my heart?
