Well I was on oceanup.com when I found a pretty interesting story...

Miley Ray Cyrus Wants To Launch Own Fragrance & Clothing Line After Hannah Montana Ends In The 'Near Future'

Just a few months ago industry mogul Miley Ray Cyrus trademarked a ton of 'Miley' merchandise including, dolls, electronics, Christmas tree decorations, cookie jars, etc [Full listing here]. In addition to this, Miley hopes to launch her own fragrance an clothing line. She revealed to J-14:

'I would love to have my own clothing line because my style is different from a lot of people. I like starting trends, but I also like to be comfortable. I like to be casual but cute and stylish at the same time.' Miley wants her line to look similar to her favorite designer Marc Jacobs..

..It's young and it is expensive and couture, but it's not totally unaffordable. It's more funky, and it looks like it just came of the runway, but it's still casual.

Miley is already looking towards her new future. She plans on finishing the Hannah Montana series soon. 'We're doing the movie, and then one more season, maybe two. It's probably going to be one more season though.'

Well, its up to the cast for how much longer they want to keep doing the show
They seem to be trying to do other things besides HM lately
I think a 3rd season is enough, 4 is too much
You can only make so many episodes with the one topic

The clothing line would be cool, I didn't think she was that into fashion though, but I do like her style a lot, she has really good taste

The fragrence is new, not many disney stars do that, I'm curious as to what hers would be called or smell like :P

i dont really like the idea of doing a Clothing Line , maybe when shes older. i just dont think its a good Idea for some reason.

even if they only do one more season, it won't start filming till like late july or august, and disney shows usually film a season in 6 months at the shortest. so they won't be finished with the season until 2009. then after that there will be sooooooo many more episodes left to air. they started filming in like 2005, so 4 years pretty much. thats a good run for a disney show. and im sure new ones will be airing maybe until 2010. after shows finish filming theres still plenty more to air. like lizzie mcguire, they finished filming like a year before all the episodes came out.

Actually I believe its up to disney, I think they have them under contract for a certain amount of years. If HM is still as popular as it is now a year from now, disney will probably pick it up for a 4th season. It depends on the contract situtation but its usually not up to the actors or cast.
Also guys Miley said they have a full year of shooting to do for the 3rd season, thats a lot of episodes. and will basically gaurentee that it airs new episodes into early 2010.

Unless an actor is giving them a really hard time, contracts are usually renewed automatically when a show is picked up for another season. Thats how I think it worked, so unless someone really doesn't want to do it and gives disney a hard time its really up to disney.

No she has not.

and to the other poster. I still don't think its up to the actors themselves, do you know how risky a move that is. While there contracts right now are only renewed for a 3rd season, the 2nd disney would renew the show for a 4th season their contracts would automatically be renewed, thats how it typically works, unless an has it in their contract to work otherwise. Something I've learned about these contracts, they rarely protect the actors interests as much as they protect the companies, the company can just go fire them but the actor can not just deciede they aren't doing it anymore. Disney would be incredibly stupid to have any of these actors, particularily Miley, on year by year contracts. They'd then run the risk of someone hitting it big and then up and leaving for bigger and better things.

Well Disney only has TV shows for like 3 seasons and season 2 of HM is wrapping up.
So if we get two more seasons out of it, we will be lucky

Maybe when her fame dies down a little bit, more fans will get to meet her because she wont be like with body guards and stuff.

It would only be logical for Hannah Montana to end after season three, with the writers strike having stretched production on season 3 that long I think that Miley is simply going to outgrow Hannah Montana. A show shouldn't go on too long anyway, it's better to stop a show at a highpoint than to let it continue into infinity and alienate all fans.

Regarding someone saying her deal with Hollywood is going to end after Breakout; she has a four album deal with Breakout only being her second. So after that two others will follow (though you never know, it might be extended or stopped early), Hollywood Records might be Disney but not everyone knows that and there are a lot of non-Disney acts signed to it (Evans Blue, Breaking Benjamin and even the legendary Queen). So even after Hannah Montana ends she'd probably stick with Hollywood, I doubt they would want to let her go anyway.

I also don't think we should be worried about her not acting. She seems to love it too much not to do it.

unless Miley's parent had an out clause put in her contract with Hollywood Records(which is extremely unlikely), they can not end the contract early. An actor or singer can not just deciede they don't want to be with a company and up and leave. It doesn't work like that and never has. They company can drop Miley but it doesn't work the other way around.
