Taylor Swift sticks up for Miley!

Excited 18-year-old country crooner Taylor Swift cruised backstage following her win for Top New Female Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards last weekend, but her gracious smile soon turned sour when a reporter bombarded her with questions on controversial teen starlet Miley Cyrus.
She responded "I'll have you know that honestly Miley is a really good friend and an amazing person," Taylor scolded after several seconds of staring him down and twisting her mouth in anger. "And you ..."
She held her tongue and was quickly beckoned away, shutting him off entirely.

Swift (who is as humble, honest and media-friendly as they come) uncharacteristically snapped at the questioning reporter, forcing everyone to take a few steps back.
"Honestly Miley is a really good friend and an amazing person," Taylor scolded after several seconds of staring him down and twisting her mouth in anger.
Well, it's nice to know that in the show-biz world — notorious for its bltches and back-stabbers — Miley, at least, can still rely on one other famous friend to stand by her during the tough times.

I'm so impressed with Taylor I can't even describe it. It's very similar to how Ryan Seacrest told off some of the reporters for the Miley VF controversy. Those two are just so protective of her. It's pretty adorable. I'm guessing the question was something really not very nice. Good for Taylor.

Yeah knowing Taylor whatever the reporter asked her was not a nice thing. She wouldn't snap if he was just asking for her opinion about it because shes been asked about the pics before and never snapped. The person much have asked something rude about Miley.

I'm guessing it was a leading question, much like with Hugh Hefner and the Playboy thing. Like, "How do you avoid the pitfalls that some of have fallen into?" Or something even more leading. He was probably trying to get her to say something disparaging about Miley, and that probably really angered Taylor.

Ha, so true. In my mind, Taylor is barely restraining herself, and the question is really disparaging towards Miley. Taylor and Ryan seem to be the only ones who are not afraid of showing intense emotions like anger and love when it comes to this sort of thing. Everyone else is pretty guarded, polite and kind, but very guarded. But Ryan has ranted a couple of times, and seems to be very much unguarded when it comes to her, and Taylor seems to have lost composure and snapped(which is awesome). Both seem like very laid back people, especially Taylor, but something about this girl is causing them to be very open about the emotions they feel. I've never seen Ryan so angry over something that wasn't an attack on him, and Taylor just seems like the mellowest of the mellow. But attack Miley, and they'll both rip your head clean off. I'd like to lock Ryan and Taylor alone in a room with a group of people who constantly attack Miley for dating Nick Jonas. Those little girls wouldn't stand a chance.

Taylor, Miley, and Ryan may very well be my three favourite celebrities. Odd combo, but those two seem to really love the kid, and aren't afraid to show it. I hope a video reveals itself of Taylor telling off the reporter.

I love that in a world where people are just too guarded to let their actual feelings show, Taylor has zero problem either being really gushy, or really defensive. Same with Ryan. Those two wear their hearts on their sleeves when it comes to Miley.

there was more Taylor stuff at Miley's party that ended up getting cutt, I saw some out takes somewhere, I don't remember where though. I like the part that with Taylor and Billy Ray before Miley's party. The look on Taylor's face when Billy Ray told her they had kept everything a secret was like oh when Miley gets in here she is going to flip out, lol. It was funny.

Would it be on her Myspace maybe? Probably not. Where's TMZ when you need them? I think it was Fox news who reported the incident, but no video. I want to see Taylor go nuts on the reporter. It's always fun to watch those jerks get taken down a peg. As for Seacrest, I have never seen him get so defensive over something that wasn't about him. Usually, he's got a smile and he lets things go, but this wasn't about him, and he sounded like he was choking on some rage. IE, the ET wango tango video.
