Actual Dangers of Myspace/Vanity Fair Photos

I think this was sort of talked about in the myspace thread, but it wasn't really delved into that much from what I could see. Sure, there are some image dangers to these photos, but that's nothing compared to the actual dangers of these photos being on the internet. Myspace is dangerous, it's a haven for pedophiles and sex offenders. My only problem with the photos are the fact that they're on the internet. Whover is leaking them, is putting a child at risk. I don't know how a person could be so callous and uncaring to leak photos like that. Yes, Miley did take the photos, but they were intended for private use(plus, they're really old). Her only crime is naivte.

Yes, the photos were not meant to the world to see, the problem was that it got leaked in the internet.
Myspace is really dangerous but the only pics I think she actually put in Myspace were the ones in the sleepover, right?
After that no more, so this person thats leaking the photos like... where's her or his heart? I can't see it.

I don't follow. If anything, she's more at risk for being so exposed and vulnerable. I think by this point everyone does know where she lives. Whoever is leaking the pics really needs to stop. This is no longer just a PR thing. It probably never was.

I pedophile is like a old guy that tricks you into thinking that they are young so that you will go over to there house and have sex with them. (sorry for my language, but there is no other way to explain it without being confused.)

A pedophile is someone who is attracted to pre-pubescent children. So technically, it'd be ebophilia(attraction to adolescents), that would be the problem. It's just easier to say pedophile. Myspace is full of sexual predators. The horror stories I've heard makes me wonder why anyone would want one. But to each their own. Not to bring up the whole VF thing again, but that was my biggest problem with it. To sexualize a child, makes them a target for sex offender/pedophiles/etc. I couldn't care less about PR and image, cause I know her fans will support her, but the media and what not seem to be turning a blind-eye to sexual predators angle. I don't like the idea of girls taking pictures of themselves and putting them on the internet, not because I'm a prude, or because I think it's "dirty," but because it's dangerous.

I was a little surprised when during the whole VF hubub, very little was made of the fact that the pictures would entice people. I saw a few news blurbs on it that touched on the subject, but most of the controversy was focused on the wrong can of worms IMO.

I think Miley wont be taking anymore.. but im sure Miley has been trusting these people if they have access to pictures liek this. Someone needs to find out who it is and stop them!

Seriously, for sure. There isn't one good thing about what this person is doing. It's a scorned ex-boyfriend, suck it up and get over it. If it's a backstabbing friend, they really need to reexamine their priorities. They're playing with fire here.

A little OT, but, yes. I completely agree with you. People want a MS so badly; and say it's for "chatting with friends.", but you can simply go to safe places like VFK, where it's impossible to post pics, phone numbers, etc.
BOT: yes, it's very unsafe to post pictures such as these on the internet, especially with Miley being so young, and the fact that she is famous. And Panic, how can you say that? It puts her at even more of risk because...
You would never tell someone your last name online, right?
You would never give out a description of how you look online, right?
Well, since Miley's famous, predators have her full name, correct and everything.
Getting her address, phone number, email address EASY. Getting something as simple as fan mail email address made from her home or somewhere near it could be a danger, simply because you can get the IP address, which leads to the computer, which would generally mean getting to her house.
Just because she's famous doesn't mean she has less of right of privacy, nor does that mean she should have any less safety than anyone else.

Miley's probably more at risk, because she is famous. She's vulnerable. Instyle Magazine gives a pretty thorough layout of her house, I think a lot of people know where she lives, etc. If she were random, it'd probably be harder to find that stuff out. Like I said, whoever is leaking the pics is playing with fire, and sooner or later, someone is going to get burned. The VF thing certainly didn't help either. I can't believe VF and AL would be so callous and thoughtless to portray a child like that.

this is sort of off-topic, but it reminds me of an eppi of keeping up with the kardashians where really old nude pics of kourtney were brought up for a second time (from like high school) and her mom was like "this is why you should never trust anybody"
i think the problem with miley is that she's too trusting, obviously. otherwise, these pictures being leaked on the internet would have stopped a while ago.
the best way to have stopped it would have been not taking them altogether (because some were taken AFTER the first batch were released) but obviously it didn't stop immediately.
so im assuming whoever is doing it is going to keep doing it, no matter how much danger it could cause miley or her family.
i don't know if miley would necessarily be in more or less danger, being in the public eye and such. maybe she has much more protection from this stuff, considering most cases involving pedophiles are about lonely teenagers who talk to "boys their age" on myspace then are lured into going to their house, not the other way around. i doubt she would be desperate enough to go to a random person's house, let alone invite that random person to her house.
IMO, it just seems unlikely.

^ Yes, but in this business, its very tough really.
You never know if you can trust or can't trust in somebody, because well you're famous.
Some people will just use you, and some will truly love you, so its definately tough.
Especially in Miley's age, she tend to make new friends and trust them, but its part of her job and like, its really tough if you are too trusting in this position, you never know whats coming.

I talked to my friends about this, and they think that the number one concern should be the fact that whoever is leaking the pics is putting Miley at risk for more severe things than PR and image reasons. The more pics that leak, the more at risk she is. That's why this person needs to stop.

and anyway, any celebrity is 'at risk'. posting some pics isn't going to make a difference. as soon as she became famous, everyone could find out anything about her. do you really think pics of he is going to make it any different?
