You have to either have a TV card on your computer and/or a DVD recorder. The TV card (about $100) gives your computer cable, but you still need to download a bunch of other programs. A DVD recorder is used to record shows onto DVDs, then you put the DVD into your computer, then use some sort of program to rip the DVD.

I wonder if anyone can get the High School Musical casts goes behind the scenes of Hannah Montana. There were 2 of those. They only showed it once, and it was the day before Hannah Montana premiered.

Most of the time, and for these videos, I use a Dazzle DVC 150 and Pinnacle Studio 9 or 10. With these here I recorded the entire high school musical dance-along on Tivo. Then I hooked up the s-video and rca audio outputs of Tivo to the DVC 150 and captured these segments in Pinnacle Studio.

As someone pointed out, another way is with a tv card in your computer. Just a simple ati one will work. You can then tune to a station and record that or hook up a tv dvd recorder, tivo or vcr to the tv card and play the program into your computer and record it that way. If you are going to get a tv card, you might want to spend a bit more and get one with hd capabilities if you live in a big city or have digital cable. Good luck!
