Today I heard that Miley is the new cover for "Vanity Fair" magazine, I don't know if it's true but I heard she is posing topless with a sheet around her. Doesn't sound like something Miley would do..... Does anyone know more about this, or have any information on it? I don't know if it's true and I don't want to start anything so if it's innapropriate just close it.

A google search only shows a couple of people claiming to have seen a clip on E! News. Couldn't find anything on it on the E website, though that doesn't really mean that much. So this might just be a couple of people trying to get some attention and making up a rumour or it was something shown on E!.

Though topless under a sheet means that she might as well be fully clothed, who knows :). If it's true it wouldn't exactly be inapproriate, it wouldn't show anything, it wouldn't be allowed to show anything.

Wow I was just coming on here to post this thread. I just saw E! News and they said on monday they would show behind the scenes footage of her Vanity Fair photoshoot and the picture in the background showed her with nothing but a sheet over herself. I was kinda shocked to see that and I thought I just heard it wrong so I rewinded it and sure enough. I was just coming on here to post to see if that was for real or what. Now I know it ain't my head playing tricks so,....does anyone know any details on this? Because I just never thought Miley would actually do such a photoshoot, and I'm just confuzzled on this. I can't find any mention of it anywhere, but I'm sure E! said Miley and Miley was in the picture.

The rumors never suggested that you could see anything though. All they can legally create is the suggestion of nudity, hence the sheet thing I guess. Still seems a bit risque for a fifteen year old, we'll see the final result on the cover of Vanity Fair; without the nudity. Good for her that she's getting a Vanity Fair cover though, sort of surprised people don't get excited about that :).

No they didn't say she was topless, the exact words were "On Monday we go behind the scenes of miley's vanity fair photo shoot."

But when you look behind Guiliana you can see her posing side ways looking at the camera holding a sheet up to herself, and she looks topless because her back is bare and there are no straps. Although I doubt she really was considering it's not something that I think her parents or anyone for that matter would let her do, and I doubt she would even want to do it.
I just want to know why no one else has announced or mentioned this besides E!.

I don't think it would have been a rash devision, before they would do something like this Miley, Tish, Billy Ray, Disney and Vanity Fair agreed to it. That's too many parties to make a rash decision, enough people to tell her not to if they felt it was a bad idea. We don't know this decision process so we don't really know why she did it until she tells us. I'm guessing we'll get that answer tomorrow, if Miley gives an explenation on E! anyway.

Disney is trying to move her away from Hannah Montana just a bit, to make her known for things besides that. This is just a bit drastic as a measure.

Doesn't mean they didn't fall for it, they're just leaving the option open that they're right in both cases; so whether she's naked or not. If they didn't believe somewhat that she's naked they wouldn't be posting it. It's still only a low quality image, so not that easy to tell so they need a factor of deniability. So in a way they would have fallen for it. Actually pretty much everyone that posted in this topic would have fallen for it.

Vanity Fair probably already achieved what it wanted with this photoshoot, get attention on the magazine. Doesn't matter whether she's naked or not, the issue has gotten far more attention than it would have gotten with a normal photoshoot.

But as I said, we won't know for sure until tomorrow.

Its a good thing shes trying to shed her image but i dont think its a good thing to try too hard and g to fast .

guys whether she is topless or not (which i actually don't think she is) the photoshoot seems to be more artistic than many others.
if she were really topless, then i don't think it would be to give her more of...that image but more to showcase the human body.

Also its not legal because they took those pics without consent of her parents. Vanity Fair's going to have a lot of flack coming to them. So are her parents, they never should have left her alone with a photographer with that type of reputation.
