Well the speakers are connected to the comp (kinda) and i didnt touch anything . And i recorded myself to see that if i push play if it will come out of the speakers and it did . But its not working for anything on the internet and it was earlier :02:

You're dead on flutesinger.....LOVE "4 Walls"!!! Totally could be a cross over hit into country. Miley has a natural twang in her voice that could go either country or pop.

Miley's got a really unique voice. I like the raw tones in the low range, and it just sets her apart from her peers. Four Walls is incredible, and she sounds(genre wise) like those indie folksy coffee house type singers. That's a compliment. Lol. I'm very impressed, and I hope older people will be too. She can definitely sing, and has a lot of potential to be one of the Greats.

Same here. Her voice has this raw kind of growl to it, but it's not so growly that you could compare her to Janis Joplin or someone. And it's not high pitched, so you can't compare her to Hillary Duff or Ashley Tisdale or whomever. And it's not nasal, so you can't compare her to Vanessa Hudgens. She's really in a different league than her peers. And she has pretty good diction too. It's hard to characterize her voice. But I really like this type of genre. Contemporary, smart choice. I'd still love to see her do country, but I'm quite intrigued with this development.

This is probably a bad example, and might be wrong but Operah singers= using head voice, belters(this would include Miley,and most pop singers , as well as most broadway stars)= using chest voice. Mairah Carrey is someone who uses both(and quite well, lol).
btw there are pop singers who use head voice, I just gave use examples that are drastic, so you can tell the difference.

Hey flute, want to start a new topic on the head voice/chest voice debate?

The best way I can think to describe is that the head voice is light, and it's usually opera singers who use it. Whereas the chest voice is generally belting. Though does Miley really belt? She sings in a chest voice, but it sounds so smooth, it's almost like a head voice. It's odd. Probably one of the reasons I'm attracted to her voice.
