"Nooo mom please!", I whined.

I did NOT want to go to L.A.
Yeah, call me crazy, i know alot of children are stuck with their grandparents, but you just dont understand.
My cousin is Miley Cyrus.

yeah yeah yeah, being cousins with miley should be like amazing, but thats where you're wrong.
When i go and visit, i'm trapped and theres no way out.
Meaning that theres freakin' paparazzi everywhere miley goes, and i go wherever miley goes, cuz, were cool like that.
But this is just so not cool.

I answer my phone as I'm begging my mom-

"hello?

"hey! how my favorite cousin?", said Miley.

"ohh..uh-hey Miles"

"so are you like super excited for our summer together?!?!"

"YES! ohmigod im like so ecstatic!", I said, totally lying.

"thats good because i have lots planned-we are totally gonna go to the coffee bean everyday, trust me you'll love it. and i have to introduce you to mandy!! oh my gosh have you met her yet? oh yeah and then we can go shopping everynight and day and i can also introduce you to the jonas brothers!!!! did i tell you already that i was dating nick?"

"uhh yeah, i think you mentioned it once" or like 50 times, each phone call.

"oh right, oh well hey i gotta go, see you in a few hours!!!"

Chapter 2-Will Things Get Better?
Kaytie

Kaytie sighed as she waved goodbye to her mom, about to board first class on her plane to Los Angeles.

here we go. off to miserywood

-20 minutes later-

"But maam, you dont understand!! I HAVE to get off this plane, right now!", cried Kaytie.

She forgot her iPod in her mom's car. Its her source of entertainment, which will be especially needed it l.a., or better know as miserywood.

"I'm sorry, but we are about to take off, no one is allowed to get off the plane", said the flight attendant.

well, i'm an idiot

The whole plane ride to miserywood was pretty relaxing, Kaytie feel asleep 20 minutes into it.

Miley

"Oh my gosh! KAYTIE!!!!!!!!", screamed Miley.

Kaytie ran up to Miley and hugged her

"I havent seen you in forever!!!", she said

"Yeah I know! I'm so happy to be here!", said Kaytie.

I could tell she was so excited, maybe even more than I was.

This summer will be pure fun.

"So, are you hungry? Do you need anything? Mom-oops sorry i mean Aunt Tish, is waiting in the car. She said we could stop anywhere", I said.

"Um no, I'm not very hungry. I'm kinda upset though because I left my ipod
in my mom's car.", Said Kaytie.

"Uhh kate we can totally hook you up! Have you ever heard of an iPhone?"

iPhone? maybe this summer wont be so bad after all.

okay. so the whole "it wont be so bad" thing didnt work out to well.
i got the iphone! yay.
But now, we're headed to meet the Jonas Brothers.
Turns out they live in the same neighborhood as Miley, so it looks like we will be seeing alot of each other. I'm really not stoked about this. I'm really not.
But on the other hand, Miley is..well, pretty excited.

Miley
"ohmygosh!
I'm so excited for you to meet these guys.
You'll love them.", I said.

Kaytie seemed pretty stoked about the whole thing. I mean she told me how much she loves the Jonas Brothers. To come to think of it, I'm probably the best cousin EVER. haha i rule.


"So, how long are we gonna stay? you know, over...there.?",Kaytie asked.

"Not to long, they have an interview at six, so we'll be there until then."

Miley and Kaytie parked their bikes on the driveway of the Jonas' home, and then rang the doorbell of the huge door, of the HUGE house.

Kevin Jonas came and opened the door probably as fast as humanly possible.

oh god. kaytie thought.

"Hey Miles! Hi, I'm Kevin, you must be..Kaytie? I've heard alot about you."

"oh-uh..hey.", said Kaytie.

"C'mon Kaytie dont be shy!", said Miley.

oh my gosh i am the furthest from shy. im annoyed. and disgusted.

"Come on in! Nick, Joe!" screamed Kevin.

Nick and Joe both came down the stairs to greet them, thankfully not as fast as Kevin.

"Hey, I'm Joe, nice to meet you!"

"Hello, I'm Nick, and you're Kaytie?"

"Hi, um, nice to meet you too, and yeah, uh, I'm Kaytie"

"Hey Nick!!!, said Miley, who ran and gave Nick a hug."

I love Miley and all, but couldn't she have done better than him?

"So, Kaytie, how long have you been here?", asked Joe.

"Oh uh, just a few hours", said Kaytie.

"Have you ever been here before?

"Yeah like uh...once or twice."

Kaytie kept looking down and refused to look at anyone.

"Do you want anything to drink?", asked Kevin, politely, of course.

He was such an airhead.

"no thanks."

-3 hours later-

"Bye guys! Byeeee Nick!", squealed Miley.

"Say Bye"

"Bye", said Kaytie, very faintly.

"WHAT THE HECK WAS WRONG WITH YOU? ARE YOU SERIOUSLY THAT STARSTRUCK?"

"No no no no no. um, i just, had a headache. I'm sorry miles.", Kaytie said.

well today, i came to miserywood. You know? This place is exactly what i expected. Snobby stuckup disgusting people who have no lives except make out with your girlfriend whose name is Miley. YEAH. I'm talking about the oh-so cool (NOT!) Nick Jonas. He's dating my cousin. I might have already mentioned this, but right now i feel so sick i dont care. SAVE ME. I'm about to die.

Miley

"Come on Kaytie wake up!!", yelled Miley.

Why won't she get up? its noon!

"Nooooooo", she growled, "i'm too tired"

I have no idea why she's tired! She should be used to the time change, and besides, its 3pm in New York!

"We have lots of things to do today, like, the mall!", Miley said.

"And I KNOW you like the mall."

"Fine", Kaytie snapped. I could totally tell something was wrong.

"Whats wrong?", I asked.

"What? What's wrong with me? hahahaha oh nothing! nothing at all!!", Kaytie said, like she had drank 20 gallons of coffee.

"Uh, okay then. Get dressed, we need to go!", Miley said.

I could still tell she was mad about something.

Kaytie

I AM SO MAD!!!
I can't believe my mom. I can't believe my dad. I can't believe ME.
Why did I agree to come here?

Kaytie got dressed as fast as possible, put some makeup on, and rushed out the door.

Her, Miley, and Kaytie's Aunt Tish, drove to The Grove, one of the most fabulous outdoor malls in West Hollywood.

"Wow, this place is pretty awesome!", Kaytie said.

"Yeah, We love it here.", Aunt Tish said.

"So Kaytie, why don't we go over to Nordstrom, and uh, mom, you can, go somewhere else!", Miley said.

"Fine, You girls be careful!", Her mom said.

Miley and Kaytie walked over to Nordstrom.

"So what do you wanna buy? It's summer and I am ready to shop!", said Miley.

"Hmm I don't know, i'm up for anything", said Kaytie.

"Yeah we could totall-ohmygosh im so sorry!", Miley said, running into some guy.

"Hey, its okay..Wait? Aren't you Hannah Montana?"

"Um, haha yeah, well I'm, Miley Cyrus."

"Oh right, sorry, my bad."

"Its ok", Miley said, laughing.

"Oh yeah, I'm Lucas."

"Hey Lucas, I'm Mil- oh wait, you already know that"

"Oh come on Kaytie don't do this to me again! YOU NEED TO GET UP NOW!", screamed Miley, nervously.

"I'm up I'm up", she said.

"The Jonas' are waiting for us at the recording studio, so get ready."

"Oh, okay then, that makes me want to get ready so much faster!", Kaytie said, sarcastically, Miley didn't notice though.

"Good, cause we have to leave in 10 minutes"

10 minutes?!!? the jonas brothers?! mom come and save me!!
speaking of my mom, I need to call her.

"Hello?"

"Hey Mom!!", Kaytie said.

"Hey honey, how are you?"

"I'm good. It's really fun out here in L.A."

"huh?-oh, uh, good.", her mother said.

"mom, is everything okay?"

"uh, yeah!", her mom said.

"are you sure? because you aren't acting like it"

"ok, kaytie, alot has been going on. I wanted to tell you, but I was just waiting for a good time. your father and I, are, getting a divorce."

"WHAT?! wait, are you kidding me? haha yeah of course you are. duh. i mean, i'm here in miserywood, and your telling me you're getting a divorce, haha yeah. ha ha ha."

"..."

"wait. why aren't you saying anything!?", Kaytie said, frantically.

"I'm not kidding...I'm sorry. It's just not working out. We sent you to Los Angeles so you wouldn't have to be around our stress this summer, we care about you Kaytie. We really do. We love you."

Kaytie hung up on her Mom.

i *cries* cant *cries* believe this. *sniffle* seriously. why me?

She got dressed and ran out the door. They headed to the recording studio. Kaytie didn't say a word.

"Hey guys!", Miley said, greeting the Jonas Brothers.

"Hey!", they all said.

"I'm going to finish up recording my new song, do you mind if Kaytie stays here?"

"Yeah, of course.", Nick said.

"Cool. Bye!", Miley said.

"Oh umm, Im pretty good. you?", she asked.

"Great. All three of us.", he said.

"Okay. So I kinda saw Miley talking to some guy the other day. At the Grove. And I was wondering, what was she saying?"

"Uh, nothing, she just ran into him on accident and she was apologizing.", Kaytie said.

"Are you sure you aren't lying to me? She seemed like she knew him."

"Um not that I know of."

"Why are you lying to me?", he asked. "I'm sorry but you could just tell me the truth", he said.

"What are you talking about? Why would I lie to someone I dont even know, especially to my cousin's boyfriend? How stupid do you think I am?"

"Pretty stupid obviously", he said, selfishly.

Kaytie had enough. She grabbed her tote and ran down all 25 flights of stairs and started running. She didn't know why. She just ran. Soon enough she got a call from Miley.

"WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU?!!!?", Miley asked, screaming at the top of her lungs.

"Uh. nowhere important."

"WELL YOU AREN'T HERE, SO ITS PRETTY IMPORTANT!"

"Um, okay. I don't know exactly where I am.", she said, crying.

"WHAT? KAYTIE. I left you with the Jonas Brothers. I thought ya'll were hanging out! WHAT happened?"

"NICK happened.", she said.

"What is that supposed to mean?", Miley asked.

"Miles, can I ask you a question?

"What's your question?",asked Miley.

What is she talking about?! This is so stressful!

"Remember that guy? That you saw at The Grove?", Kaytie asked.

"Lucas? Oh yeah...what about him?"

"Did you know him?", Kaytie asked.

"No. Why? This is so not important right now!", Miley said, worried.

"Because your STUPID boyfriend asked me if you knew him and then said I was lying when I told him that you didn't know Lucas. So that's when I left.", Kaytie said.

Did she just say stupid? Whatever. She's probably just mad right now.

"Well, Kaytie, I'm sorry. It's my fault. But I need you to come home like now."

"Okay. I think I'm somewhere near the Grove. Come pick me up"

I'm so stupid. I can't believe I ran away.

"I'm home!!", a voice said, coming from the front door.

"Hey Jenna!", my Aunt said.

"I know, i've been busy. Where have you been?", Kaytie wondered.

"Florida. I love the beach there."

"Okay. So we were at the recording today, and then Nick Jonas,

"Uhm, anyway, he asked me a question, then he said I was lying, and then I just ran away. I couldn't take it. So..what do I do?

Kaytie spilled everything to Jenna from hating the Jonas Brothers to her parents divorce. She couldn't hold it in anymore.

"Miles? I'm sorry for running away. I'm just under alot of stress right now. I'll be better though. I promise.", Kaytie said.

Chapter 7

Kaytie

Miley,Jenna,and Kaytie were down at the Studio, Kaytie hoping NOT to run into the Jonas' again. But to her surprise, they were there, once again.

She walked in, and sat down on the small couch where Miley was recording.

The Jonas Brothers came in.

"Hey!", Kevin said.

"Hey MILEY", Nick said.

He would not look at Kaytie.

"Nick can I talk to you?", Miley said.

Thank god. anything to get him away from me. I swear if he ever says anything to me like he did before I will hurt him really bad.

All of the Jonases were pretty quiet today, probably because of the incident.

A girl walks in and kisses Kevin on the cheek.

"Hey!!", she said.

"Hey. Oh, Roxxi, this is Kaytie, Kaytie, this is Roxxi", Kevin said.

"Hi!! It's so nice to meet you. Are you Nick's new girlfriend?", Roxxi said, curiously.

"Hahaha no. Nick's girlfriend is Miley, and I'm Miley's cousin", said Kaytie.

I kinda liked the fact she though I was Nick's girlfriend. But then again, it sucked. I would never want to be with a jerk like him. never.

Roxxi was pretty nice. Nick didn't speak to me. Jenna hung out with Miley. I was pretty much alone. whatever. I'll just pretend to act like I don't care when people forget about me, or ignore me. Because this summer will be over sooner than I know it and everything will go back to normal again. I just have to get through this. I know I can.

chapter 8
Kaytie

Today was a hard day for Kaytie.

She had gotten another call from her mom which happened to be the worst phone call ever.

Her parents are still having a divorce, and to make matters worse, she is not going to be allowed to ever visit her dad. Kaytie wasn't very close with him, but he was still her father and she loved him.

Not only that, Miley had to "run down to the studio", which ended up taking three and a half hours of Kaytie waiting in the car. She was not going to risk a chance of running into the Jonas Brothers yet again.

Miley finally walked out of the studio just in time to make it to the Movie her and Kaytie were going to see.

"Hey Kaytie, sorry it took so long. Me and Nick were discussing a few things..", Miley was sure to sound very sympathetic knowing her cousin did not appreciate having to wait in the car for several hours.

"Oh. Alright. Are we going to the movie now? It's about to start", Kaytie said, hoping not to get into the whole "Nick did this and he said that" thing that Miley usually brings up after mentioning his name. It always happens.

"Nick told me that you and him got into a fight a few weeks ago", said Miley, curiously.

"Oh you know, It wasn't necessarily a fight, just an argument. Nothing big. Now we really need to leave or we're going to miss this movie!", Kaytie said. She hoped Nick didn't mention anything else.

"Really...He said that you were lying to him about some guy and that was why you ran away..", Miley said.

"Well, it's not true. "

"Omigod! I can't believe you are lying to me!", Miley said.

And I can't believe that you're dating an idiot!", Kaytie said, on accident.

"What did you just say to me?", Miley said.

"I wish you had a better boyfriend.", she said in a matter of fact kind of way.

"Excuse me? Better boyfriend?", Miley said, nervously.

"Um yeah he's not amazing. And he's a little strange. Look not to be rude, but the whole Jonas family is a little...off"

"Off? What the heck is that supposed to mean?", Miley said, angrily.

"Crazy, psycho, weird, strange, you know", Kaytie said.

"How can you say all of this to me? About my boyfriend? I thought you liked them!, Miley said, kind of hoping for a right answer from Kaytie.

"Look Miles, I never liked the Jonas Brothers, I was just trying to be nice. I can't take fake liking them anymore. It's getting old. I really think you could do better. And maybe try re-writing that new song you're recording, it's not that great", Kaytie said, wondering why the heck she is saying all of this, even though she knows it's true/

Look Kaytie, I know things are hard right now,but it doesn't mean you can come here, trash my boyfriend and his family, trash me, and still think you can get away with it. You can just go home right now. You obviously aren't worth my time.", Miley was kind of shocked of what she just said.

"Look Miley, I love you, you're cool, I just wish you were-"

"You just wish I was....what?", Miley said, really ticked.

"Um...nicer, more aware that you're cousin may not like to sit in the car for 3 freakin hours, less selfish?", Kaytie second guessed about what she had just said to Miley.

"Just leave", Miley said.

"What? Come on I wasn't that rud-"

"Just go. I don't want you here" ,Miley interrupted.

"Miley seriously why are you acting like this?", Kaytie asked.

"Leave. I don't wanna be around you.", Miley snapped.

Kaytie got out of the car and slammed the door as hard as she could. At that exact time, the Jonas' walked past her, and she ran right up to Nick and stared at him. She didn't have the nerve to say anything. So she just walked off. Hoping he would say at least something hurtful as she left.. But he didn't. He just walked off. With mixed feelings.

I don't know, let's see, Nick is envious of Miley talking to guys, now he tells Miley that kaytie is lieing to her, I'm seeing major trouble for Dylan especially if the bump in the mall wasn't by accident. Dylan, I recommend you find Kaytie and fall instantly in love, Miley is trouble for you.

Chapter 9
Kaytie

"Mom!", cried Kaytie.

"Kaytie??!?!?", her Mom said.

"Okay I know I'm probably in so much trouble but miley and the jonas brothers and she told me to leave so I did but I felt bad and then I didn't want to and now I"m here probably about to be grounded and I feel so bad I'm sorry!!", Kaytie was literally sobbing at this point.

"Calm down Kaytie! Now, I want you to explain to me the whole story, and take a deep breath", her Mom explained, really confused.

Kaytie told her the whole story.

"Wow, So this all happened just because Miley talked to some random guy at a mall?"

"Yeah, and then Nick found out, accused me of lying, and the rest is history", Kaytie said.

At that exact moment Jenna comes rushing in.

"KAYTIE!! I am so my stupid sister was just acting stupid. I can't believe you took her advice and left!", Jenna said.

"Jenna?? Why are you here? You flew all the to New York City just to tell me that Miley is stupid?", Kaytie asked.

"Well, I want you to come back."

"Why would I do that?", Kaytie said, with no enthusiasm.

"Because we all love you. Miley was just getting carried away. And besides, I know you like Nick.", Jenna explained.

"ME?! Hahaha I like Nick? Yeah right. It's like the opposite. I hate him.", Kaytie said.

"Yeah well, anyways, please come back. We all want you to, even Miley."

"Yeah well, NO. I'm not going back. Thanks Jenna for well, lying to me about wanting me to go back to miserywood, uhm, I mean hollywood, but I'm not. And no one can make me. And no matter what anyone says, I will never like Nick Jonas. ", Kaytie said, mad.

Jenna left without even saying goodbye.
