CHAPTER ONE: THE NEWS;
I sat on my couch, flipping through channels.
There was never anything good on to watch,
so this happened almost everyday since
summer vacation started.
"Mom, when's Kayla getting home?" I asked.
"She said she'd be here in ten minutes."
My mom said as she walked up the stairs.
"Oh, great."
I got up and got some juice from the fridge.
I sipped it and sat on a chair. I looked at
the clock. I was lonley without my sister.
She was like, half of me. I heard the clock
ticking, it got annoying.
"I'm home!" I heard my sister say, as she
stepped through the door.
I hadn't noticed that it passed 10 minutes.
"Yay, you're here!"
"Yep, and I have some important news!"
"What is it?"
"Joe and I are going out!"
"You and Joe? My bestfriend Joe?"
She nodded.
Well, this wasn't good.
"That's awesome!" I said, un-convincing.
"You're okay with it, right?"
"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know, but atleast you're okay with
it!"
"Yep, totally okay with it." I said.

CHAPTER TWO: SMOOTHIES;
I honestly couldn't believe that they were going out,
so I had to hear it from Joe. I went to the Jonas house.
Nick answered the door, "Hey, Ty." He said.
"Hi, Nick. Is Joe home?"
"Nope, he went with Kayla to some place to do some-
thing. I think it was to eat. So a restraunt, obviously."
I laughed. "So, he is going out with Kayla?"
Nick nodded, "Yup, they're going out." He let me
inside.
"So she wasn't lying to get me jealous or mad! But,
I still am jealous. And mad."
"So, you still like my brother?" Nick said with a grin
on his face.
"Yes, I do. But, don't tell my sister, cause she'll get
mad and stuff!" I said.
"My lips are sealed." Nick said.
"Good." I looked around the room. "What were you
doing, anyways?"
"Watching TV." he pointed at the TV, that was on.
"Oh, right, I totally noticed that."
He chuckled, "Wanna do something?" he asked me.
"Like what?" I asked.
"I don't know. We can watch grass for all I care."
I laughed, "Sure, that sounds fun."
"Hold on, I need to change."
"Uhm, why do you need to change?"
"Boxers, duh!"
"RIGHHHHHHHHT!" I said.
He ran upstairs and I sat on the couch, watching
Spongebob.
He came down, seconds later. "Okay, lets go!" I
turned off the TV and we went outside.
"I don't feel like watching grass die." I laughed.
"Yea, I don't either, want to get like a smoothie
or something?" he asked.
"Sure!"
We walked to the smoothie place thingy. We both
got a Strawberry smoothie.
We were talking and then Joe and Kayla walked in.
They also ordered two Strawberry smoothies, then
they came to sit with us. I rolled my eyes, and
luckily, Nick was the only one to notice it.
"Hey!" Joe said, as he sat across from me, and
Kayla across from Nick.
"Hi." Nick and I both said. I was kinda having a
good time without Joe and Kayla.

CHAPTER THREE: THE FIGHT;
Kayla and I got home. "So, did you have fun on your
little date with Nick?" she joked. "It was not a date."
I replied, as I walked up the stairs, she followed behind.
"So, just two friends drinking smoothies, together?"
"Exactly!" I said as I walked into my room, "And I still
can't believe you!"
"What did I do?" She questioned, confused.
"Oh, you know what you did!" I said, as I laid on my
bed.
"Went out with Joe?" she asked.
"Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!" I said.
"Oh."
"You knew I liked him, how could you?" I asked her.
"I didn't think you liked him anymore. It's been like
seven years." she said.
"Still!" I said.
"Well, I'm sorry that you're jealous."
"Jealous? I never said I was jealous, I'm just mad!"
"No, you're jealous, admit it."
"I'm not admitting it, because it isn't true. You're
being really mean and stubborn."
"Whatever." she said and she left my room.

CHAPTER FOUR: THE TRUTH;
I was playing darts as I heard a knock on my door.
"If it's mom, I'm not hungry,
If it's Kayla, go away,
If it's Joe, why don't you make out with my sister?"
I said, angrily.
"You forgot about me." Nick said, as he opened the
door, "And Kevin." he laughed.
I laughed, "Hey Nick. What brings you here?"
I sat on my bed, and he sat next to me.
"Well, Joe came over, and I was bored, so I came
with him."
"Eww. Joe's here?"
"What happened with the 'I like him' thing?" He ask-
ed.
"I hate him now, and my sister." I said.
"Wow, thats strange. You and Joe are bestfriends
and so are you and Kayla."
"Not anymore, obviously." I said as I handed him
half or my darts.
"What happened?" he asked, as he threw a dart.
"She thinks I'm jealous!" I said, with a slight laugh.
I threw a dart.
"Well, you kinda are jealous...." he said.
"So what?!" I said as I plopped onto my bed. I put
my blonde hair into a pony tail.
"Being jealous isn't a bad thing." Nick said, "I mean,
I was jealous when I figured out you like Joe." he
shrugged.
"Yea, well-" I sat up, quickly, "Hold the phone! You
were jealous of me liking Joe Jonas?"
He nodded.
"Whoa, Mr. Benson was right, you do learn some-
thing new everyday."
"Who's Mr. Benson?" Nick asked, confused.
"Oh, my first grade teacher." I said, "So you liked
me?" I asked.
"I...I...I still kinda do." he said.
"I like you too." I smiled and leaned in to kiss him.
Our lips met and someone opened the door.
"Whoa, make-out session!" I heard two people yell
in usion. And I knew who those two people were.

CHAPTER FIVE: HMM, JEALOUSY?;
Well, Nick and I were officially going out. I was over Joe, and
everyone could tell. I turned the water on so I could take a
shower. I went back into my room to pick out clothes,
I picked out:

and I got my black converse.
I put all the clothes on my bed, and the shoes on the
floor.
I ran into the bathroom before I wasted anymore
shower water.

AFTER SHOWER

I dried myself off and put my clothes on. I did my
hair and put on make-up.
I went downstairs to make some pancakes for my
sister and I.
She wasn't dressed and she looked like a wreck. "What
happened?" I asked.
"I couldn't sleep..."
"Uhm, why couldn't you sleep?" I asked, confused.
"No reason.." she said, "So, you're going out with Nick?"
I nodded as I stirred the pancake mixture. "Why, is it a
problem?"
"No, it isn't I was just wondering."
I bet she was jealous. She used to go out with Nick, you
know, in 7th grade. But, still.
I made two pancakes, one for my sister, and one for my-
self.
I poured syrup on mine, and I cut it into little pieces. I
got one of the pieces, and put it in my mouth. And,
obviously, I chewed, then swallowed.
I did this, all through breakfast. When I was finished, I
put my plate in the sink and sat on the couch.
"Okay, fine, truth time." Kayla said, as she sat next to
me.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Well, I'm not really over Nick, and thats why I couldn't
sleep, I'm jealous of you. You're not jealous of me,
I'm jealous of you!" she walked up stairs.
"This jealousy thing is very...annoying." I got up and
went outside.

CHAPTER SIX: SO, KAYLA WANTS JOE ALL
TO HERSELF;
I walked to the smoothie shop, and I order a strawberry
smoothie, like I always did.
I sat down, and sipped my smoothie, then, Joe walked through
the door.
I got up to leave, but he grabbed my hand and we sat down,
"What?" I asked.
"Why are you mad at me?" he asked.
"Oh, you know why!"
"Um, no I don't. Can you just tell me?"
"It involves my sister and you. It's that simple."
"Because Kayla and I are going out?"
I nodded.
"Tyler Ashley Matthews, are you jealous?" he laughed.
"Well, I was," I said, "But now I'm not, so ha!"
I sipped some of my smoothie.
"Well, I guess that makes sense." he said.
I nodded, "Of course it does. Everything I say makes
sense-" I paused. "Ok, maybe not, but that did."
He laughed, "Can you just forget about the whole thing?
You're going out with Nick, aren't you?"
"Fine, but I will never forget this, never, I say, NEVER!"
"And I'm okay with that." he said.
I sipped some of my smoothie. "Blah." I said.
"Where's Kayla?" I asked.
"I don't know, I called her and she didn't answer. You're
her sister, wasn't she home?"
"Yea, she was."
"Well, did she say anything?"
"Well, she did say-" I stopped and remember that he
couldn't know that she was jealous, "That she wanted
to have some pancakes."
"Oh, thats nice." he said, sarcastically. "Let's go to your
house."
"Fine." I was going to put my smoothie in the trash, but
then Joe said, "WAIT!"
"What?"
"I want it, PLEASEEEEEEEE!"
I handed him the smoothie, "Okay, lets go." he said
and drank some of it. I laughed.
We walked to my house.

AT MY HOUSE
"Kayla, you're boyfriend and I are here!" I called. She
came downstairs, dressed.
"Hey, I thought you were mad at him." She said, "Ehh,
not anymore." I said.
"Oh." she said.
"Do you guys want to do something?" I asked.
"Well," Kayla said, "I was planning that Joe and I could
go see a movie, alone."
"Um, I have no problem with that, do whatever you
guys want."
"But, we should do something all together." Joe said.
Kayla rolled her eyes and I said, "No, it's fine, I'll
let you two be alone, I'll do something with Nick."
"Are you sure?" Joe asked.
"YES, SHE IS! Now, lets go!" Kayla said and pulled
him out the door.
I sighed and sat on my couch and I decided to call
Nick.
