Okay, so I didn't feel like writing my other FF, Win Her Heart anymore. So here's another one. It stars the Jonas Brothers, but not as themselves. It's similar to Camp Rock. First of all, its not a camp. It's a school of the performing arts. Second of all, the name's McKenzie. Not Mitchie.

Chapter 1.
“I don’t know why I have to even go to this stupid school!” Shane said. He was now on his way to Coppice Performing Arts School. It was a school in England that he had been sent to by his parents.

“Maybe because you got expelled from that school back in California for stealing the principal’s car?” Chase said.

“So what! He deserved it.” Shane replied.

“And you deserve this.” Chase said.

“Whatever. This just better be a good school because I’m not wasting all my time here.”

“You will if you keep up an attitude like that.” Jason muttered. Shane just sighed. “But hey, look at the bright side.”

“What bright side?” Shane inquired. “There is no bright side!”

“Yes there is!” Chase said while looking out the window of the car. “Girls, girls, and more girls.”

“Hey, isn’t that Bella?” Jason said also looking out the window.

“Great. Even more to worry about.” Shane said. “So much for a bright side.”

“Man, if only I was still in school.” Jason said. Shane looked out the window to see a girl about Jason’s age wave at him. He sighed and leaned back against the seat.

“It’s going to be a long school year.”

Chapter 2.

McKenzie POV

When the elevator dinged on the 4th floor, I pushed all the trunks out of the elevator and paused for break. How much frickin stuff did I bring?! Looking up, I saw one thing that really surprised me. It was Chase from my old high school back in California.

What was he doing here? “Chase?” I said.

“McKenzie?” he said. I smiled and he gave me a hug. “What are you doing here?”

“School, duh.”I replied. “But what about you? I mean, I didn’t know you were getting sent here too.”

“Yeah, I got sent all to keep Shane out of trouble.”

“Isn’t that the one who crashed the principal’s car?” He nodded.

“Yep. And he’s also my cousin.”

“Wow.”

“Hey Chase, who’s this?” a boy looking to be my age – or maybe a bit older – said walking up next to Chase.

“This is McKenzie. McKenzie, this is Shane.” Chase introduced us.

“Hey. Um…nice hair.” Shane said.

“Yeah, thanks. I gotta get to my room.” I said.

“Alright. I’ll see you later.” Chase said. And as I hauled my stuff back to my dorm, I couldn't help but notice, that he was kind of cute.

Shane POV

“So how do you know her?” I asked Chase referring to McKenzie.

“She just so happens to be one of my many friends. Maybe you try it some time.” Chase said.

“Hey! I have friends.” I said.

“Chase!” I recognized that voice. It was that annoying friend of Jason’s, Bella.

“Ew.”she said as soon as she saw me. “I didn’t know they were accepting animals into the school.”

“Actually, they aren’t. So why don’t you do us all a favor and crawl back into your hole.” I retorted.

“Ooh, good comeback. Did you think of that all by yourself?”

“Yeah, I thought I’d be more like you for once.”

“Oh, you mean intelligent?”

“No, like a b**ch.”I said.

“At least I don’t look like a pig.” Bella replied.

“Do you own a mirror?”

“Guys, stop!” Chase said.

“He started.” Bella said.

“Oh yeah. Blame me.” I said. “What is that? Your motto? ‘When all else fails, blame Shane.’”

“Idiot.” Bella muttered.

“I’ll be in my dorm.” I said. As I headed off to my dorm, I saw another familiar face. “Emma!”

“Shane! What’s up?”

“The usual. Fighting with Bella, making the worst of things. You know.” I said.

“Wow, you’re like some character from a bad movie.” Emma commented.

“Yeah, thanks for cheering me up.” I said sarcastically. “Anyway, have you this girl anywhere? Pink hair, carrying lots of stuff?”

“You mean McKenzie? Yeah, we’re roommates.” Emma said.

“Then I’ll be stopping by later.” I said. “See ya.” I went into my dorm. Luckily, I didn’t have a roommate. I closed the door and lay on a bed. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all.

McKenzie POV

I was practicing on my keyboard when two girls walked in. One was Emma and the other I didn’t know. “Hey. You must be McKenzie.” she said. “I’m Lexi.”

“Well, hi. You must be our other roommate.” I said.

“Yeah.”she said.

“Well, I already have the top bunk so that only leaves the bottom for you.” Emma said.

“Okay. Cool hair.” she said to me.

“Thanks.” I said. “Just make yourself at home.”

“Because this is kind of like your home for the rest of the school year.” Emma added.

“Except weekends and of course, summer.” I said.

I walked into my dorm to see two other girls unpacking their things. “Hey, you must be our roommate.” one of them said.

“Yeah. I’m Nicole.” I replied introducing myself.

“I’m Kaytie and this is Mandy.” she said. “Make yourself at home.”

“Alright. So where do I put my stuff?” I asked.

“Well, closet’s over there and shelves and whatever are over there.” she said pointing.

“Kay.” I said before starting to unpack. I had a feeling this was going to be fun.

As I walked around the school, I heard a voice singing. The song was unfamiliar as was the voice, but it was amazing.

After the piano playing had stopped, I walked inside to see who it was singing. I didn’t see anyone. “Hello? Who’s in here?”

No one answered. So as I walked back to my dorm with my head down and hands in my pockets, one question lingered in the back of mind. And it wasn’t about this school or why I was sent here or why Bella hates me so much. In fact, it was pretty obvious: Who was that girl?

If only the answer was as obvious.

Chapter 4.
Chase POV

I walked to Shane’s dorm to see him lying on his bed staring at the ceiling. “What are you doing?”

“Trying to figure out a mystery.” he replied.

“Well okay, Scooby Doo.”I said. “So what are you trying to figure out?” He sat up and looked at me.

“I heard this girl singing, and it kind of reminded me of the music that I liked.” he said.

“Okayyy. What’d she sound like?”

“Amazing.”

“Well this is a performing arts school so there are lots of amazing girls.”

“I know but…have you ever fallen for someone you didn’t even know?”

“Wait, don’t tell me you like her…”

“No! It’s just a question. Jeez.”

“Cool. Well, I gotta go.” I said.

“Where are you going?”

“Where do you think? To hang out with Mandy.”

Shane POV

As Chase left out, so did I. I went to McKenzie/Emma/Lexi’s room. I knocked on the door to which McKenzie opened. “Oh, it’s you.” she said.

“Wow. Not usually the reaction I get from girls but whatever.” I said. “You got a sec to talk?”

“You mean really talk or talk?” she said.

“Really talk.”

“Alright. Come in.” she said. I walked in and she closed the door behind me. “So what’s up?”

“Just wanted to get to know you, that’s all.” I said.

“Okay, well my natural hair color is blonde. I like to sing and play piano and guitar.”

“Where are you from?”

“Philly. You?”

“New Jersey. So I’m guessing you move a lot too?”

“Yeah. So what did you mean you don’t usually get that reaction from girls? I mean, you’re hot but you’re not that hot.”

“You think I’m hot?”

“What? No, I mean yes. Sort of.” she said flustered. I smirked. “You’re…attractive, okay?”

“Yeah, I know.”

“So tell me about you.”

“Well, I can play guitar, tambourine and I sing. But I don’t know.” I said. “I mean, I sing but it’s not my whole life. I don’t even know why my parents sent me to this stupid place.”

“Well maybe once you get your schedule and everything it’ll be fun. I mean, you could enhance your talents.”

I gave her a strange look. “Your singing! Hello!”

“I think you’d look nice as a blonde.”

“And I think this is the start of a very beautiful friendship.”

“As weird as it seems, I agree.” She laughed and I smiled for the first time in a really long time.

McKenzie POV

The next day, I got my schedule. What kind of classes were these?

Class 1: Music History
Class 2: Band Class
Class 3: Song Writing Workshop
Class 4: Sound Improvement
Lunch
Class 5: Rehearsal

I mean, music history? Who wants to learn about the history of music? (Besides Emma?) The only one that looked familiar was lunch.

“Ow! Hey, watch it!” I cried as a crashed into a hard surface.

“Jeez. Sorry…”the girl said. Standing up, I looked to see who it was. “Nicole?”

“McKenzie!?” I squealed and gave her a hug. “When’d you get back?” I asked. “I haven’t seen you since like 9th grade.”

“A few weeks ago. I’ve been to Australia, Milwaukee, Aruba and New Jersey.” she replied. “Oh! And I went to L.A. and met this really cute guy. We dated for a while but we broke up since I was moving and everything.”

“Yeah, I met someone too.”

“Cool. When did you dye your hair pink?”

“A long time ago.”

Shane POV

WTF? Music history? Who wants to learn about the history of music? And I thought English was boring. Wait, is that Nicole? Well, only one way to figure out…

“Nicole?”

“Shane!”

“How do you two know each other?” McKenzie asked.

“This is the guy I told you about. The one I met in L.A.”Nicole answered. “You still got that tattoo?”

“What tattoo?” McKenzie asked.

“Oh, when we dated, Shane got this tattoo of my name on his arm. Nothing big.”

“Yeah. Um, I gotta go.” McKenzie said. “Bye.” As she walked off, I couldn’t help but feel kind of guilty. I then turned to Nicole.

“What?” she said.

“Just…leave me alone okay?” I said. I then went to find Emma. She’s usually good with this stuff…whenever she’s not performing.

Chapter 6.

Shane POV

You wanna know how Music History went? Well, first we met Mr. Hanes, and then he took us on a time-travel through music. His words, not mine. First, we went through classical, then rag time, and then jazz. You wanna know what we ended on?William Shakespeare. I'm sorry, but I fail to see how Shakespeare fits in with MUSIC?!Not to mention the fact that this class was a total snore anyway. I almost started to drool when Mr. Hanes started going on about Mozart. God, we are mainly ROCK BANDS.

You know, I just noticed something. His last name is the same name as the boxers I’m wearing right now!

McKenzie POV

Man. This is the WORST class I've ever been to. Shane isn't exactly enjoying this either. He's pretty much sleeping on his desk. I almost started to fall asleep. If it wasn't out of fear that someone might see me drool, I might have. I swear, I think Mr. Hanes is supposed to be in a totally different class right now.

You know, POETRY AND LITERATURE?! I can't blame the dude. He doesn't look a day over 60. Million.

When the bell rang, we all stampeded to band class. At least, me and Shane did. We were the only that actually RAN out of the class.

"Where are you going now?" Shane asked me on the way out. My heart started to flip-flop again.
“Why? Hoping to see this beautiful face again soon?” I said.
"Actually, I was.” he responded. “I’m going to band class.”
“Me too.”

I hope we don’t have all classes together.

I immediately asked him questions of his schedule. Oh, you can bet he did. What? Did my Mom walk under a LADDER when I was born?! I don't know about you, but I'm walking around with a pack of salt in my pocket from now on.

We met our band teacher. Mr. Williams. He was nice enough I guess. Then he made us fill out this form of what instrument we play or if we sing.

Shane was on the other side of the room from me so I got to see his answers. He filled in LEAD VOCALS.

I filled in guitar/vocals/and lead vocals.

McKenzie POV

I don't know why we have to TRY OUT for this. An AUDITION?! I SUCK at auditions.He randomly picked people. I slid down to the edge of my seat so my chin almost hit the chair.Of course he saw me. It didn't help that Lexi kept pointing down at me. Thanks."Miss...uh, Wright? You're trying for vocals I believe?" Mr. Williams asked. I grimaced and nodded. I could see Shane's face looking at me. This forced me to be brave.I got up and headed to the little stage set up for us. Before we came, they asked us to pick a slow song. I didn't know why, until now."What may you be singing Miss Wright?" Mr. Williams asked me. I forced myself to be polite."When You’re Gone," I said. This was one of my least favorite Avril Lavigne songs, I actually am not much of an Avril fan but, it was the only semi-normal slow song I could think of.

Shane POV

I waited. I wanted to see how good McKenzie was. She started singing. Oh my God. That’s the song!

“…When you're gone, all the words I need to hear to always get me through the day. And make it OK; I miss you…”

I couldn't help but just stare, at her. Seeing as how when McKenzie was done, Mr. Williams smiled approvingly and said, "We definitely have a place for you here McKenzie."

McKenzie smiled slightly and than glanced right at me. She smiled. I turned the color of a rotten strawberry. Wait a minute! What the heck!? My face isn’t supposed to turn that color! I must’ve fallen for this girl. Hard.
