Chapter <1>






October sat in her desk at school flicking her pencil against her desk. She stared at the clock intently waiting, and waiting for the bell to ring, the bell that would release her for good. Her mind could not focus on the stupid Disney movie that her English teacher had put in, and it was just making time go slower. She swore she actually saw the minute hand move back by one. She wished she hadn’t slacked off in math her freshman year, or else she would have graduated back in January like the rest of her friends, but that was the past. All that mattered right now was that she was going to finally get out of this stupid school. She had to come, even if it was the last day and she had already received her diploma, but her attendance was always so bad that she couldn’t afford to miss any school. Plus, her mom would have canceled her entire trip if she skipped the last day. She’d been planning her trip since the beginning of the year, and wasted ALL of her summer job money on it. There was no way she was going to miss it. It wasn’t a waste. She was totally excited, and their rental car, or van, would be waiting for her first thing when she woke up. There was only one bad thing about this entire trip; her mom was forcing her to bring her annoying little sister. She’s sixteen, and her name is Natalie. Okay, well…it wasn’t that bad. Not until the friends she had invited to go along with her, had to bring their sisters as well. The trip had evolved from three people to six in a matter of days. Of course October only had to pay for herself, it was the fact of having to share the entire experience with her sister. Her sister was cool at times, but like all siblings, they didn’t get along all the time. They fought over stupid things, and bickered at each other about everything. She was still planning to make the best of this trip though. It was the one thing that she could do before college.
October had been so wrapped up in her thoughts that she jumped as she heard the bell ring. She quickly shoved her notebook in her book bag and ran out of the classroom. She ran straight out the door, passing the annoying freshman and ran right towards her car. She jumped in the driver side, and pulled her keys out of her purse, and inserted them into the ignition. She pulled out her phone as she waited for her sister, and began to text Kaytie and Mackenzie.
“I’m free!” She smiled widely as she hit send, though she knew that she wouldn’t get a reply from either of them until later, because they were both at work. She jumped when she heard a tap on the window of the passenger’s side. She looked up to see her sister standing there smiling. October groaned as she reached over and unlocked her door.
“Get in!” She called as she moved back to her seat.
“Wait!” Natalie cried.
“What?” October said frustrated.
“Can you give Alexa and Haley a ride home?” She asked as she pouted her bottom lip. “Please?” She added beggingly.
“Fine!” October said sighing as the two girls got in the backseat of her car. “I might as well get used to you guys being around anyways.”
Once the girls got inside the car, October smiled widely.
“Are you guys as excited for tomorrow as me?” She could be nice to the little ones when she wanted to.
“OH MY JONAS!” She heard Haley call from the backseat.
“That means yes!” Alexa said answering her question.
October just laughed slightly and pulled her car out of the school parking lot, and plugged her iPod into her car. She scrolled until she found a song she wanted, which just happened to be Disturbed.
“Must you kill us with your hard heavy whatever music?” Natalie said over the loud music.
October turned it down and frowned at her sister. “Shut up, or you’ll be walking home.”
“You’re bluffing.” Her sister said with a smirk on her face.
“Or am I?” October said almost evilly. October quickly changed the subject, leaving her sister speechless. “Okay, so the first day and a half will be REALLY boring. Just to warn you.” October said as she pulled up to her friend Mackenzie’s house. “We’re going to be driving all day tomorrow, Mackenzie, Kaytie and I will take turns driving and sleeping, until we get to Missouri. Then we’ll probably sleep somewhere right after we hit the state line. Then that gives us a whole day to get to St. Louis and get a hotel, and the day after is the first concert!” October took a deep breath and looked back at the girls, and over at her sister.
“I’m glad you know what you’re doing.” Alexa said laughing. “Because I have no idea what you just said.”
October laughed softly. “All you guys have to do is be nice, and have fun. Oh! And sleep! We don’t want you annoying us the whole way. When you’re tired SLEEP. Don’t try and stay awake.”
October motioned for Haley to get out of the car, and go inside. “Pack tonight! Pack almost everything you have!” She said with a laugh.
With that Haley jumped out of the car.
“I’m SO excited!” She screamed loudly. “We’re going to see the JONAS BROTHERS!”
October felt herself get a little giddy inside, but contained it.
“Tell Mackenzie to be at my house by eight tomorrow morning, my mom said that Kaytie and her can keep their cars in our driveway.”
Haley just nodded and ran up to her door, and knocked. October waited for her to be let in, and then drove away.
She repeated the process with Alexa, and then began to drive back to their house. She looked over at her sister, who was tapping her foot to the beat of the music.
“Excited?” She asked, realizing that her sister hadn’t said anything since they dropped off Haley.
She just nodded her head.
“Then act like it!” October said laughing.
“I’m nervous, that’s all.”
“About what?” October said as she pulled into their driveway.
“Can you and your friends actually look after us three?” October knew she meant Alexa, Haley and herself.
“Yeah, of course.”
“And we have enough money to be gone as long as we plan to be?”
“Yes! Stop worrying! I’ve planned this out cent by cent, day by day!”
A smile broke across Natalie’s face, and she leaned over and hugged her.
“We’re going to see the Jonas Brothers!!” She said excitedly as she hopped out of her car.
October opened her door, and walked to the front door.
“MOM!” Her sister called loudly.
“I’m upstairs!” She heard a muffled call come from upstairs, and the two girls raced each other up the stairs, and into their parent’s room.
They smiled at their mom, who was sitting on her bed folding laundry.
“Ready for tomorrow?” She asked calmly.
“AH! YES!” October said loudly for the first time.
Her sister gave her a weird look, and they both started cracking up.
“Natalie dear, go and tell your dad that you guys are home. Please?” Her mom said with a smile on her face.
Natalie nodded and ran out of the room.
“October, I want you to take this with you.” Her mom said as she fiddled in her purse, and then pulled out a card.
“Your credit card? Mom! No! I said I would pay for everything!” She said refusing to take it.
“Just take it in case of emergency? Please? It’ll make me feel a lot more comfortable with you leaving and everything.”
October smiled sweetly.
“Thanks mom…” She said as she took the card from her mom’s hand.
October bent down and hugged her mom. “I probably won’t see you tomorrow morning, so. I love you!” She said with a big smile on her face. “I have to go pack now…”
Her mom nodded. “Love you too!” She looked over at the clock and then groaned.
“I have to go to work now…”
October laughed a little and then went to her room to pack.
October practically dumped her entire dresser into two suitcases, and then lay back on her bed. She was so excited, yet so scared at the same time. It was going to be the first time that she was doing anything this big without her parents. She felt her phone vibrate, pulled it out of her pocket, and with the flick of her wrist she flipped it open. She smiled when she saw a text from Mackenzie.
“I’ll be there by eight, with starbucks for everyone!! I’m so excited! My boss is going to kill me if I drop a plate of food one more time!”
October laughed at her text and began to reply.
“I thought I was the klutz?! Calm yourself! I’ll see you in the morning!”
She hit send, and began walking downstairs as she smelled food.
“What’s cookin’ papa?” She said smiling as she reached the kitchen.
After dinner, October made her way up to her bed. She decided to just go to bed right away, not caring how early or late it was, because she was going to be up all tomorrow driving. She laid her head on her pillow, and attempted to calm her excited thoughts, and finally drifted to sleep.
“BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!”

“Ughhhh…”

short chapter before I go to bed.



Chapter <2>








October sluggishly rolled out of her bed and hit her alarm, turning it off. She groaned.
“Its unnatural to get up at seven in the morning, on the first day of summer.” She said out loud to herself.
She ran out of her room and into her sisters.
“Natalie!!” She said loudly.
Her sister just groaned at her and rolled over on the other side, throwing a pillow over her ears. October laughed and ran over to her, and lifted her pillow.
“Jonas Brothers!” She said loudly, figuring that this would get her up. It didn’t. She sighed as she walked over to her sister’s stereo and pressed play, assuming what was in the CD player.
She smiled as the beginning of “It’s About Time” began playing. She turned it up and began singing along with the first track, What I Go To School For, and this got her sister up.
Natalie jumped up and ran over to October and gave her a big hug.
“Oh sister! How I love you!” October looked at her weirdly and laughed.
“I love you too?”
“Exactly why you won’t be mad that I’m getting in the shower first!” Natalie screamed as she pushed back her sister, and took off towards the bathroom.
October sighed and caught her balance and chased after her sister.
“You suck!” She said loudly as she slammed her bedroom door.
October sat awkwardly in her room waiting for her sister to get out of the bathroom. She heard the bathroom door open, and she jumped up and ran out into the hall.
“Its about time! I only have thirty minutes till Mackenzie and Kaytie are here and we have to leave!” She said grumpily.
After getting out of the shower she threw on a pair of sweats and a Nirvana band tee. She threw her hair back in a messy bun, and put a little make-up on. She wasn’t trying to impress anyone and they would just be sitting in a car for hours on end. There was no point in trying to look nice.
She walked out of the bathroom and saw her sister ready.
“Anyone here yet?” She asked her sister.
“Of course silly!” She heard a voice come from behind her, from her doorway.
“Mackenzie!! I’m SO excited!” She said as she hugged her friend. “Where is that promised Starbucks?!” Cassie said smiling as Mackenzie handed her a frappachino, and her sister a mocha latte.
“Where’s your sister?” Natalie finally asked after enjoying her drink.
“She’s in our van already, asleep.”
October laughed and wished that she could sleep, but it was already arranged that she would be the first one to drive.
“Is Kaytie here yet?” Mackenzie asked her.
October shrugged. “I just got out of the shower, and she’s not in here…so I assume not.”
Everyone laughed at her sarcastic remark, and they all made their way downstairs carrying their suitcases. They walked out their door and to their big red van that would carry them for the next couple months. October laughed as she saw Mackenzie’s handwriting all over the window, with window paint.
It said “jb” and “Jonas Brothers” all over it!
“HEY!” She heard a voice from behind her and turned around to see Kaytie and her sister Alexa pulling into the driveway.
October squealed excitedly as she ran over to the car, as they parked.
“Hurry up! Come on! I want to leave!”
She ran back over to the van and helped Mackenzie put her sisters bags in the back, next to everyone else’s.
Kaytie and Alexa made their way over to the van, and put their stuff away as well.
“Natalie! Go grab the cooler inside!” October yelled at her sister, who was acting like she was going to fall asleep. “You can sleep once we get on the road!”
Natalie groaned and ran inside and came out with a big cooler.
“Where am I putting this? Its heavy!” She said whiningly.
“Somewhere in the backseat so we can all reach it. “ October said smiling widely.
She set it down, and then walked around to where October, Mackenzie, and Kaytie were all talking about the driving schedule.
“Are we leaving yet? Alexa and Haley are already asleep.” Natalie said through a yawn.
“Yeah, lets just go…”
October knocked on the back window, waking up the two sleeping girls, and motioned for them to come out.
They slowly walked around back and looked at them confused, with their sleepy eyes.
October put her hand in the middle of the group and everyone else’s followed, resting on top.
“On three…” October looked over at Kaytie who just laughed.
“On three…. Jonas Brothers.” She said helping October out.
“One, two, Three…”
“JONAS BROTHERS” The Six girls screamed loudly.
“Lets go!” October said excitedly as she spun the keys around on her finger.

Chapter <3>








October sat in the drivers seat. She leaned back in her chair, trying to crack her back. She had been driving for about four hours now, and they were just getting out of Indiana, and crossing into Illinois. She switched the song on her iPod to of course, another Jonas Brothers CD. It was the second time listening to their self titled CD, and she was almost afraid that she was get sick of listening to it by the time they got to St. Louis. She looked over at the passenger’s seat, to Mackenzie who seemed very wrapped up in a book that she had brought to read, to occupy her time. Kaytie was in the backseat sleeping with the three younger ones.
“Hey Kenze…” October said over the music. Mackenzie looked up at her and smiled widely.
“Think we can switch? I’m sick of driving already…” She said laughing a little.
Mackenzie smiled, and put her bookmark in her book to mark her page.
“Of course! Pull over at the next exit, and we can stop at the gas station. I want an energy drink anyways.”
October nodded, and drove another mile till she got to the next exit, and pulled into the nearest gas station. She parked the van, and took the keys out of the ignition.
“HEY!” She yelled into the backseat, waking everyone up. “Everyone get out and use the bathroom, we’re not stopping again for awhile…hopefully.” She mumbled the last part under her breath and opened her door and laughed as the four sleeping girls made their way out of the van slowly.
Mackenzie and October immediately made their way over to the refrigerators and both grabbed a Red Bull energy drink. They made their way to the cash register and paid for their drink.
“Thanks for taking over. I said I’d try to drive five hours, but my back was killing me.” October said as she handed a five-dollar bill to the cashier.
“It’s cool. I was getting tired of my book anyways. I need to be hyper! Hopefully once we get back into the van everyone will stay awake. It was way to quiet while you were driving.”
October laughed. “Seriously, It was awkward.”




[To save much boring reading, and writing…. We’re skipping ahead. :)]



October sat in her hotel bed as she watched TV. They had all agreed to just share one room to save money. Even though two people would have to sleep on the floor. They could alternate spots each night. Natalie and October would share a bed tonight though, and Mackenzie and Haley would sleep on the other bed. This was decided only because Kaytie had slept the entire way up. Down. Slept the entire way down.
They all sat around watching E! News and gushing about their favorite Jonas boy.
“Kevin is ALL mine….” Kaytie said loudly.
Everyone laughed at her and sighed as they thought about the upcoming show.
“Can you believe how many shows we’re going to?!” Mackenzie said as she fiddled around with the remote on her bed.
“I can… With how much money I spent, we better be going to a ton of concerts...” October said laughing as she rolled over onto her back and sighed. “For this much money, we should be sleeping on the tour bus!”
Everyone laughed and agreed with her.
“I should be sleeping next to Joe right now…” Mackenzie said as she cuddled the pillow on her bed.
“No…. I should be sleeping next to Joe!” October said as she threw her shoe at her friend.
She felt her sister kick her. “No offense, but I think I should be sleeping next to Joe.” Natalie said with a smirk on her face.
October and Mackenzie laughed loudly. “Sorry, you’re underage! You three can have Nick!”
“I’m cool with that!” Alexa called from the floor next to Kaytie.
“Me too!” Haley said as she sighed deeply, obviously thinking about Nick’s curly brown locks of hair.
“I think we should go to sleep! I’m setting the alarm clock for six am, so we can all get up and get dressed and showered and stuff. We need to be out of here by eight thirty. Its only a two hour drive…so…” October said as she and Natalie pulled back the blankets from the bed, and messed them up so they could sleep freely.
“You’re too organized!” Kaytie called from the floor in between yawning.
“Shut up!” She said throwing a pillow at her.
“Thanks! I needed one!” October rolled her eyes as she lay down and waited for everyone to tell her to shut the nightstand light off.
October pulled the blankets slightly away from her sister and rolled over, and fell asleep.


October woke up to Natalie shaking her.
“Whaaa?” She said as she sat up.
“Turn the alarm off. We need to get up.” Natalie sounded so awake it was intense.
October turned over and hit the alarms snooze button to get it to shut up, and then turned it off.
“Everyone GET UP!” She said loudly. She wasn’t a morning person, ever.
Everyone groaned as October got up and grabbed her clothes, and went to take a shower.
As she got out of the shower she was pleased to see that everyone was awake and moving. Alexa, Haley and Natalie were all sitting in the corning talking and Kaytie and Mackenzie were trying to figure out what they were wearing the first concert, tomorrow.
“Someone else go get in the shower.” October cried as she walked over to the mirror and began drying her hair, and putting on makeup.
Natalie was the first one to make it into the bathroom, even though everyone ran towards it all at once.
After she was out October and Natalie decided to take their bags out to the car, so they wouldn’t have as much to carry later.
“You guys hurry up. We need to leave soon.” October said as she walked out the hotel room, realizing that it was seven thirty already.
They walked out into the dark morning and shivered against the cold morning air.
“Are we getting breakfast?” Natalie asked as they reached her van.
“Well, we’ve got plenty of time today. We made good time yesterday getting here. It’s only a three-hour drive to St. Louis, and we have nothing to do before the concert…so I imagine we can stop somewhere and eat a good breakfast. Bob Evans sound good?”
“They’re right. You really are too organized.” Natalie said laughing as she opened the back of the van.
“Mom left me in charge…I just don’t want anything to go wrong.” October said smiling as she put her bag in the back of the van.
“If anything goes wrong, we can get the Jonas Brothers to hold us…” Natalie said jokingly.
“What concert are you goin’ too?” October heard a strange voice say from behind her.
“It’s really none of you-” She stopped as she turned around and saw who stood behind her.
“Whoa…” Natalie said as she looked behind her.
October then looked around the parking lot, and put two and two together.
“Concert? What one?” He said trying to snap them out of shock.
“Uh, yours.” October said snapping out of her shock. “Jonas Brothers…you know. In St. Louis.”
“Is that where we’re going? I never really know?” Kevin said as he sipped from his cappuccino.
“Why are you not covered in fans?” Natalie said breaking the awkward silence.
“Because, they end up not following us, when we drove as much as we did last night. We came all the way from Michigan.”
October laughed. “We came from Indiana. Northern Indiana.”
Kevin nodded his head and smiled.
“So, you’re just going to St. Louis to see us? Then driving back? That’s almost a waste.” Kevin said as he bounced back and forth on his heels.
“Actually… uh…” Natalie started to talk but couldn’t find her words.
“We’re actually following the tour from there… for a month and a half.” She said proudly.
“Whoa, really? That’s awesome. Well, then I’ll see you there! We have to get going. Have some sort of interview….I think.” He said as he started walking away confused.
“Bye!” Natalie and October said together as he walked away, and around the corner of the hotel…where there was apparently a tour bus.
“Oh…my…god.” October said as she slammed the van door shut, and the two rushed back into the hotel to tell everyone.




So, I know that this chapter actually makes no sense. Especially the ending. Because honestly, they wouldn't have been stopping at a hotel because, well...they could have just stayed on the tour bus for another three hours, but lets just pretend they wanted a good nights sleep. I needed to add the brothers in, in this chapter or else I was going to get angry, and frustrated because everything was dragging on. hahaha. So Yay! there. Chapter three!

Chapter <4>







October sat in the passenger’s seat, as Kaytie drove for the first time.
“I CAN’T believe you met Kevin!” She cried for the millionth time.
“I’m sorry! You should have woke up sooner and came outside with us!” October laughed slightly at Kaytie’s whining. “You’ll get the chance to meet him SOMETIME on this trip. Its obviously FATE.” October said with a smile on her face, saying this made a smile break across Kaytie’s face.
“We better!” She stuck her tongue out at October, and focused herself back on the road.
“At least you didn’t meet Joe!” Mackenzie cried from the backseat, and October sighed deeply. “Oh how I wish!!”
“Look!” She heard Alexa and Haley call from the back seat, everyone but Kaytie turned around to the girls.
“What?” They all asked in unison.
“Look at that sign!”
Everyone looked out their window and saw a sign that said: “St. Louis 10 miles”. Everyone squealed.
“We’re half a day away from our concert!!” Natalie cried from behind October.
“Oh, will you stop talking?” October said teasingly.
“Oh, will you stop being an annoying big sister?”
They both laughed together and gave each other an air hug.
After blaring the Jonas Brothers they finally arrived at their hotel for the next two nights.
“I say we go to a radio station, and try to find them.” Kaytie suggested.
“I second this!” Haley called as she jumped onto Mackenzie’s back.
“Ugh, you’re so annoying. Get off….” She said scolding her sister.
Haley reluctantly hopped off her sister’s back, and followed as everyone was grabbing their bags, and heading into the hotel.
“At least we’re staying in here for longer than five hours.” Alexa said laughing as she stuck the key into the slot, and pushed the door open.
“Me and Natalie get a bed again tonight!” October called as she ran over to a bed.
“Mackenzie and Haley! You’re on the floor.” Natalie said as she jumped onto the bed with her sister.
“We’re just alternating in a circle…” Kaytie said laughing as she sat her stuff next to the bed.
“I’m going to ask for some extra pillows or something. This ground is too hard!” Mackenzie said, obviously whining.
“Oh shush! You’ll live!” Her sister, Haley said as she sat her bag in the corner by the bathroom.
“We need to LEAVE, if we want to see JB before they leave wherever they are….” October said laughing, realizing that they had absolutely no idea what they were looking for or, where they were supposed to look.
“Who is driving?” Mackenzie asked as she stood up from sitting on the floor.
“I guess I can…” October said as she took the keys out of Kaytie’s hand. “That way we’re just going in a circle of driving too… I guess?” She said questioning herself.
“Too organized.” She heard her sister say in between fake coughs.
“Shut up!”

They drove around until they all saw what they were looking for; a big crowd of girls with signs all standing outside of a building.
“Lets go!” Alexa and Haley said impatiently.
“Uh, is there actually a point? I mean…. They’re INSIDE the building. Its not like we’d get to touch them.” October said as she leaned back in the chair trying to decide what to do.
“She’s right. As much as I want to see Kevin, this just looks pointless, and… we aren’t those crazy ‘Oh my god I’m going to attack them’ fans. Lets be chill, and go get something to eat on the other side of town.” Kaytie said from the behind her.
October heard all the younger kids groan. She looked over at Mackenzie, who nodded for her to leave, obviously agreeing with her and Kaytie.
They drove across town, and walked into a small café, that wasn’t too busy. They looked around at other places, but they were just too busy, so they settled for what they could find.
They walked in, all bummed that they wouldn’t be having some extravagant dinner, and walked over to a booth in the diner and sat down.
After they had ordered, and their food arrived. They all sat gushing about the next day, and about how early they were going to get there to get in line. They all had decided on six am, even though it seemed a little extreme.
They were almost done eating, when the sound of a bell caught their attention. The bell hung from the café’s door, and hit loudly against the door each time it opened.
They glanced up to see two people walk in, and thinking nothing of it, they went back to eating.
A moment later someone talking loudly, much more loudly than the rest of the diner, interrupted them all.
”Ugh, WHY do you HAVE to do this TONIGHT?!”
Everyone’s eyesight turned towards the girl.
“Is that?” Natalie said, beating October to her thoughts.
“Whoa, it is.” Mackenzie said as she stared in awe at the guy and girl.
“Who is WHO?” Haley said really confused.
“The Jonas sister, Jazzlyn.” Kaytie said answering for all of them.
A second later the bell against the door ran loudly, indicating someone coming in.
Everyone was already distracted for their food, and turned their gaze to the door.
“FRANKIE!” Alexa said loudly. Kaytie had tried to put her hand over her sister’s mouth, but it was too late.
Jazzlyn, and her apparent guy friend looked over at the booth of girls, as did Frankie. Frankie shook his head, and looked back at his sister.
“Do you two really have to do this NOW, not to mention, HERE?” He said looking over at the girls, as he said here.
“Its not my fault fans are EVERYWHERE.” She said obviously annoyed with everything around her.
Her guy friend stormed out the door, Frankie following.
Jazzlyn walked towards the door, and just before leaving turned back at the girls and said, “Hope you enjoyed the SHOW!” She angrily walked out the café and that was it.
Everyone else in the café went back to their food, except for the girls.
“Trouble in paradise?” October said laughing a little.
“Apparently…” Kaytie said as she took the last bite of food off her plate.
“Two run ins, in one day.” Natalie said as she still stared at the door.
“It really is fate….” Kaytie said with a wide smile on her face.
