The Hobbit: HELP!

for my english class, i have to write [just about a paragraph long] about how bilbo and the dwarves escaped from the wood elves and what all happened...problem is, i have no clue what happened. :lol: has anyone read that book?:|

I asked my older brother and he didn't know, but I just grabbed the book and looked for it...I can't find it right now, because I've only been looking from page 240 to like 250 or something, but do you know what pages it says they escaped on? If you do, I can help ;)

All I've skimmed so far is that Bilbo tried to run away from the dwarves (that confused me cause I haven't read the other parts of the book) and the elves captured him and he lied about what he was doing. Then he went back to the dwarves and the next day, something happened :P Haha I don't know what exactly happened, but that's all I've skimmed. THIS IS NOT THE ANSWER though...at least I don't think so ;)



EDIT: P.S. I'm going to be leaving in about 45 minutes or something like that, and won't be back probably for a couple hours, so if you tell me the page number, I'll try to help when I get back (hopefully no later than like 8 or something, but I'm not sure) ;)
