so yeah i went to the concert a few hours ago at the new orleans arena(the bathrooms smell like peaches there by the way).
before the concert:
after spending an hour bugging everyone to wake up, we left at about 12:45 and got to the arena at about 1. the mileyworld party was just beginning. my cousin came with me and she is a mileyworld member, so she printed her raffle ticket and put it in the drawing. 2 of my friends also came with us. we then went to the merchandise stand (there was NO line) and i got a shirt and a tour book. after about 30 minutes of standing in the 45 degree weather (not to mention it was windy and drizzly) we saw a huge mob of kids and adults run over near the mileyworld bus. this old lady kept telling me that miley came out. we knew it wasn't her but we went to go check it out anyway, and it turned out that they were just screaming because the karaoke was starting. the doors were going to open at 2:30 and the raffle was at 2:45 so we just stood outside in the horrible weather (i couldn't feel my hands) and just took a lot of random pictures with my friends. so the raffle came, and we didn't win anything.
still before the concert/in the arena:
after that, we went to go check out our seats. my mom and my dad each managed to get four tickets, so we went to check them out, and my dad's were REALLY far away from the stage(literally the last row-they were the last row on the highest level of seats-we could touch the ceiling). my mom's were kind of obstructed (it was on the side of the stage at the very top) so we ended up sitting in my mom's. some of my other friends/family that came sat in the other ones(they're also huge miley fans). to be honest, we didn't care where we sat, were just thrilled that we were actually there. heck, there were even people sitting BEHIND the stage. well at first these 2 old ladies(they were there by themselves...) were sitting in 2 of the seats but we politely told them that those were our seats and they moved. anyways, we were happy that we decided to sit in the seats that we chose because coincedently, one of our friends that we all knew ended up having seats RIGHT IN FRONT OF US(we were freaking out because she called me the day before and she was really upset that they couldn't get tickets[she's a really big miley fan]. it turns out that the night before some random person in a restaraunt said that they couldn't go and they sold them to her). so we were just talking and taking pictures when all of a sudden people were screaming and they were rushing towards someone on the floor(we were at the top level of seats so we were screwed haha). it turned out to be billy ray. people were running and screaming and taking pictures of him.
during the concert:
everlife came on, and i love them. they were awesome.
then hannah came out of the box thing, and of course everyone screamed loud. she said that we were the loudest city hahah.
hannah sung(i might have forgotten some)rockstar, lifes what you make it, just like you, old blue jeans, nobodys perfect, pumpin' up the party, and then rock and roll all night with everlife(it was awesomeee)
after that, she opened up as miley with start all over, then she sung good and broken. then she sung see you again and lets dance, and after that, she had to take a break because she wasn't feeling well. we were all worried because we thought it was something serious but she came back and said she was feeling better. then they put a chair on the stage and she had to sit down to sing right here.
then she sung best of both worlds, and people started leaving. but we knew she was going to do an encore. i thought it would be i miss you, but instead her dad came on stage and they sung ready set don't go together(i had a feeling he would be there because the next day he was having a free concert in the same city[i went to it])! it was amazing. then miley went in and billy ray was on the stage playing the guitar. when everyone was quiet me and my friends screamed "BILLY RAY!" really loud and he pointed at us hahah. my friend's moms were all mad because we got to see billy ray, lol.
all in all, it was an amazing concert. but we couldn't hear it in the beginning; it sounded like something was wrong with the microphone or something. during life's what you make it the microphone kept turning on and off.
i hope miley feels better. i really amazed me that she put on such an awesome show even though she was ill.
having a sore throat, stading outside in the freezing cold, and being frozen was all worth it and i would do it again any day.
it is rumoured that miley will be at billy ray's free concert tomorrow.
(edit: i went to the concert and it turns out miley was actually supposed to be there, but they decided to leave for florida[where her next concert was]due to the fact that she was sick. he said she had the stomach flu or something. the concert was great anyway, lol. me and my friends got in the very front, right by the stage, because we camped out really early in the morning. and when billy was about to go on stage we were walking around by his tour bus and he came out. but people that knew people who worked at the concert were the only ones allowed to meet them. i was kinda dissappointed but i got a picture of him when he was like 10 feet away from me. lol.)
anyone else who went to the concert, i want to see your reviews.
i will also put pictures and videos up later(maybe. i forgot my camera so all i have are crappy cell phone pics and videos haha)
