It doesn't exactly suck, depending on what grade you're in. If you're in the 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grade, it's good to know this stuff. So If I were you, I'd pay attention in class, take notes and try to enjoy it while you still have a chance ;)

Ok. Is there a response you wanted??? lol. It's not that bad, after like the first few days of learning about it, you get used to it.

I'm in 9th grade and I have it 4th quarter but its not that bad
I had it in 7th grade
and you just get used to it
yeah you may not be comfortable learning about it
but you have to just live with it and learn what they teach you.

i learned that in 4th grade, and in excessive detail in 7th grade. this year in health, they're mainly just teaching about CHD and all these ways you can die. oh, and also STDs, since that goes under that category.
but it's good to learn, even though it can be a little awkward during class :P you might need it later (for whatever reason).

It's good to know, especially if you're an only child or the oldest girl. Otherwise, you'll probably be pretty shocked when your period comes.

Yeah we started talking about and everyone was like ew but now it's just normal to listen too I'm in 6th

It's not that bad.
Last year in 8th grade, we learned about STDs and exactly how babies are made. lol.
Just ask any questions you have because im sure your health teacher will be happy to answer them and you wont have to go not knowing any longer.

I learned about it in 5th Grade.
It doesn't necessarily Suck,
It's good to be aware of what is happening to your body...
Wouldn't you rather know the changes are normal instead of be like "OMG WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING TO ME?!"

I had it first in 4th with the corniest video ever!!! It was these pathetic girls asking about it to this ugly lady in bell bottoms and tiedye shirt and jelly shoes. In 5th we learned more, about guys' bodies(ewwww) and how babies get made. We also had to see a "protecter" for guys(ewwwwww) and why that is important. It was sickening. I haven't taken it since 5th and I'm in 9th. I have to take it this semester. It's really not that bad. You need to know this stuff!! It'll helo you when the time comes. (Just not really the "protecter" cause chances are, unless you get plastic sugery{u kno which one} or you decide to do "it" at an early age, you won't need one!!)

I learned all the stuff I needed to know in fourth grade. Like how babies are made and stuff. You learn about the guys stuff in later on. It's good to know in the long run, but horrible to learn in the beginning. I see where you are coming from. And their are books about this subject which will help. [I recommend The Period Book. Very factual.]

The extend of sex education you will experience this year depends on your grade level.

Middle School
• drugs, alcohol, cigarettes
• separate videos are watched
by males and females about
the structure of your anatomy
and basically the hormonal and
physical changes going through
your body
• May touch base on sex but
they never read to much into
it until high school.
• May give a demonstration on
a model about how to insert tampons
into your vagina and how to correct
place a pad into your underwear to
collect blood

High School
• This is the time when they get
serious about everyone learning about
sex and pregnancy
• You'll probably get a manual that
contains information about different
types of Sexually Transmitted Diseases,
contraceptive methods, consequences
of pregnancy
• You may be required to take care of
infant simulators which are electronic
'babies' that mimic the movements and
overall behavior of real toddlers today
• Videos may be presented to you in
class. Some of them may be quite
disgusting. Saw a vaginal birth on tape.
Showed placenta and all.

Again, I am not telling you these things to scare you but to simple warn you about the future.

Try having Sexual ED once every month or so, along with talks about drug and family abuse. Plus, the way it's taught to us really sucks. It seems like we've been taught everything, but it's just not thought out very well. Yea, and telling all the guys how to check girls for STDs, lol okay. Plus we were show pictures of pretty much every kind of STD on google an um other pictures showed up (ewww). It's like, why am I in here? But classes on puberty are fine and dandy and a part of life, that we all need to learn about. Sex ed, is the class that sucks. It's kinda amusing though, won't lie.

the letter was only for the girls cuz the boys get it in 6 grade we're in 5 grade now
