Coloring tutorial

#1 Find a picture you want to colorize. Like this one:

#2 After that you take it and open it in gimp.

#3 Then you go to "Colors" and "Components" and "Channel Mixer".

#4 After you pressed "Channel Mixer" it pops up a window like this:


#5 Then you set the "Red" one like this:

#6 After ther "Red" you scroll on the thingy to "Green" and set it like this:

#7 Scroll to the "Blue" after and set it like this:

Brightening Tutorial & Texture


#1 You take your pic:

#2 Then you go to "Colors" and to "Brightness-Contrast" :

#3 Then you get up a window you set the "first" lightness to 20 and the second to 46 and you get this:

#4Then if you want add this Texture (http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/Fairytale92Gallery/texture781.jpg) AND set it at 100%at do only brighter. do the same with this (http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff283/Fairytale92Gallery/texture751.jpg) and set it as the other. Erase the parts where the 1 texture got on.

#5 And then you add text, and set it at 100% Addition i think.

And you're finished,here's the result:

Texture Tutorial

#1 Open up your pic and gimp. I'll be using this:

#2 Then you go to picture and lay (number 2 in the line). And you press on the RGB so the picture isn't a black white no more.


#3 Then you take this TEXTURE (http://aycu24.webshots.com/image/37463/2001597101756326713_rs.jpg) As a new layer and paste but before you paste it you resize the texture. And after that you press Ctrl+L and you get the layers press the layer with the texture and drag it to the top and set it to 100% Diffrence like this:

#4 And you get this:

#5 Now you go to the layer with the picture and cut out only "Hilary" and when you have cut out her you copy and paste in a new layer above the texture.Them you go to the first pic and paint over "Hilary" with the bg color DO NOT paint out the shadow.
And you get this:

Glowing Text

#1 Open up your picture like this one:

#2 You add your text like this and duplicate it.

#3 Then you go and change the color on the text layer thats closest to the pic to white. And then when you've done that you go to "Layers" and select Alpha to Selection. Grow the selection by several pixels. And after that you go to "Filters" and "Guassian Blur" (the 1:st) and after that you set the Guassian Blur as you want i set it at 3,0x3,0 px and you get this(I added some brushes and set them to guassian blur and i brightened it):
