New Gimp Tutorial :D

So this is a really simple blend but you can add on to it.

Your finished product will look something like this.

Ok first Open up Gimp. Go to File -> New -> Set to 420x200
Then chose 1 pic. Im using this one, that can be found here :http://gallery.misstisdale.net/displayimage.php?album=296&pos=5
ok now chose a color , And Fill in your Space. You can add something to it, do what ever you want. I'll be adding sparkles. Mines looks liek this.

Now resize your picture paste it on, and use the lasso tool. Set it at Feater Edges at around 40% Now go around it about 3 inches infrom the pic, Mines looks like this.

ok Now go to Colours -> Curves and set them so they look like this

Leave the Green,

Now go to Filters -> Blur -> Motion Blur And set it to what ever looks nice.
Now paste this grid over it. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t66/xoxoTinker-Bellxoxo/linedtexture.jpg click layer -> transperancy -> colour to Alpha -> Ok. then paste the original image over it . Now do the same thing with the lassso tool once more. It should look like thiss

Now add some text and your done :D Enjoy and post ur resaults here :D More tuts will be comming upp :D
