A colorfill? Like, a new layer filled with a certain color?
Just bring up the layer dialog, go to the little icon on the bottom with the clear piece of paper [make sure the foreground color is set to the color you want] and then make sure fill with foreground color is selected and press okay.
haha i hope that was clear enough. tell me if thats not exactly what you meant. ;]
