DOWNLOADING BRUSHES:
1.go to a site like http://browse.deviantart.com/ (http://browse.deviantart.com/) (thats the best one for Gimp brushes)
2.at the top in the search bar put in Gimp brushes
3.Find one you like and clikc on it.
4.Click download on the left and save it in My Documents.
5.open it when its done downlading.
6.you should see icons with 3 dots in them and maybe a few otehr things.
7.on the left,you should see a thing that says 'Extract All Files'. lclick it.
8.when it comes up,hit next next finish.
9.then highlight and copy all of the icons with 6 dots in them.
10.then go to start-my computer-local disc-program files-gimpshop-share-gimp-2.0-brushes and paste them there.
11.re-open gimp,double click the paint brush and see if its there!it should be .

ADDING FONTS TO GIMP
1.Go to a site like http://dafont.com (http://dafont.com/) (they have great fonts) and find a font you like.
2.Click the download button and save it in my documents.Open it when its done.
3.Extract it just like you would with a brush.Copy the icon(s) with a T or O on it.
4.Go to start-control panel.
5.Go to appearances and themes.
6.Click on the thing that says fonts on the left.
Close it.Re-open Gimp and double click the text button.They should be there
